The insert is soooo perfect for straining pastas, steaming buns or dumplings, steaming veggies. It is very hefty and stacks on top of the pot. The lid that comes with the top fits perfectly on top of the insert as well. Cleaning is super simple

This was a really nice addition to the stock pot. I steamed some vegetables in this and it was really easy. It got well with the stock pot and to use simultaneously. Seems like it will last me a long time also.

Okay, this pot with the steamer insert has been a game changer. I used this pot and steamer for the first time to make gumbo and it worked amazing. I have always had trouble with cooking my seafood for gumbo, but the steamer worked phenomenal. I will definitely be using the steamer again to make dumplings. Definitely 10/10!
