Picked these up to use as standard household snips and haven't been disappointed. They probably were meant for something less universal, but the value made it worth the try. They're easy to use and are comfortable on the hand.

These are very high quality scissors. I like them for my art projects and they are very sharp. I do not have issues with the blades having a hard time cutting things.
