300 has marked a precedent, it is a film that will be remembered eternally like the Spartans, I do recommend! what a wonder of photography! Great battles! What a camera movements! WOW I love it!
Such an amazing film....I can't even explain how amazing all the actors are who patrayed all the characters! Such an awesome story plot that you really want to learn your history! You must watch...even tho this is one of the most beautiful graphic movies I have ever seen!
Who doesn't love the famous line from Leonidas: This is SPARTA! Such a thrilling movie experience if you allow yourself to live in the movie. Good acting, amazing graphics considering it was all done on blue screen & some really good directors/producers. The movie itself does have a different, more animated look to it, but it's done really good & looks real. It also tells the tale of the 300 Spartans that went to battle really well & it's directed by Zack Snyder, I know it only mentions Frank Miller in the description but come on, "Watchmen", "Sucker Punch", & "Man of Steel" were some pretty epic movies so if you haven't yet, you need to watch this!
Another good movie of either muscled men to faked muscled men fighting to save their family and country going against all odds. I love watching Gerard Butler movies he played a good King Leonidas. Graphics were ok but over all it was a pretty good movie and story line.
The story on the other hand isn't very complicated, in the sense that the whole movie could probably be described in a sentence or two. The dialogs are simple and most often talk about moral values like freedom and honor. If you would look at the script, it would probably look like another movie that has nothing more to offer then idealistic visions of how life should be.
I thought that this movie was FANTASTIC!! I love a lot of action and while it is definitely one for the men, it was so eye catching, that one doesn't mind all the blood and gore. I felt the story was enticing and the cinematic experience was astounding. The costumes of the Persian army were amazing as were the colors and scene schematics!! Definitely a must see!
I watched this movie with my dad and brothers and they obviously loved it but I was surprised how much I actually enjoyed it too! There are a lot of story lines involving war, love, drama and family. It is very violent and graphic but its a good movie.
If you are wanting a movie that is historically correct then this isn't the movie for you. The Whole movie was filled with historical incorrect things. If you are wanting to watch an exciting movie with lots of fighting and Gerard Butler with no shirt on then this is the movie for you. Beyond it being historically incorrect I really love this movie.
Not usually an action movie kinda gal, but LOVE Gerard Butler! Was 100% happy with watching this film (And have watched it multiple times since the initial viewing, AND the sequel) Would have totally missed that the big bad guy at the end was Karl, the same sweet guy Laura Linney was in love with in Love Actually, if it hadn't been for IMDb.
I couldn't stand this movie. I was studying history at the time it came out and so probably watched it with a more critical eye than was intended. Historical inaccuracies aside, I thought the slow motion was ridiculous. I think if all of the scenes were changed to normal time, the movie would be about five minutes long.
