Great Info, provide a lot of detailed and interesting information to read. Would recommend this to anyone interested in learning more about their genetic background.
This product is very easy to use. Gives you a lot of information about your heritage. Take a while to be processed but worth the wait. It's reasonable prices for what you get. Would definitely recommend to my friends.
This DNA service was complimentary for me so I went into it without many expectations. Therefore I'm very satisfied with what I have learned from my DNA! After the FDA overhaul the site has become much more careful about how they word things, to conform to federal regulations. To me, it hasn't changed the way I use the site and its info. I think it's interesting learning about my traits and genetic dispositions. That said, I don't know if it would be worth it if I had to pay for it.
Love seeing the breakdown of where I'm from. The ONLY thing I don't like is that you can no longer upload your results to Ancestry.com to plot family tree in the biggest family history research database in the world.
This has been very useful for my husband's family in working on their family tree and being able to point them in the right direction with the information they have
I love this website! It was really cool to see how my genes and my physical appearance compare. My brother did it too and it was interesting to see how we compared.
I purchased the 23andme package that informed me about my ancestry and my health. Although it takes several weeks for the information to get back to you, it its well worth the wait. The price for the ancestry and health test was about $200, but you can purchase the ancestry test separately for around $100. They were able to tell connect me to people who I am distantly related to and what percentage of Irish and Italian that I am. They were also able to inform me of any diseases or conditions that I will most likely pass onto my children. Very helpful and informational! I would recommend that every one gets an ancestry test through 23 and me.
Love love love the details of having this done. For the curious mind you can know more about your DNA. I have done this for me and started to also do my children.
Impressive! I love how much I learned about my ancestry and feel so much more connected now to parts of me I always "knew" existed but didn't have the proof. The whole process was easy, fast, and eye opening.
Took this test only to find out that I was 99.4% South Asian (already knew that). The report also gives you genetic dispositions that you're likely to have. Fun to explore
Q & A
Is really worth the money ?
Is there anyway I could get this for free and review it? I have heard nothing but good things!
Always wanted to try one of these similar products....worth it?
Has anyone tried their DNA tests? How does it compare to AncestryDNA? Do you get the ancestry analysis along with the breakdown of genetic predispositions (more likely to need more sleep, have curly hair, like coffee, be good at running, etc) or is it one or the other?
What are your personal experiences?
