Loved this service. I just got the ancestry one bit plan on upgrading I was so impressed. It gave me some great background info on my adopted daughter, which was so fascinating.
This service is rather pricey but knowing your ancestry makeup is so worth the price. I learned so much new information about myself through 23 and me and I am so glad I signed up for it.
This is a great company with reasonable prices for their services. They also do testing which you can qualify for at times. Right now I'm waiting on genetic testing results for a study I qualified for about Bi-polar. They are going to send me the results for what diseases I'm more likely to develop and my genetic make-up which is great because I'm adopted and have no family history to go on.
I found it very easy to use the container for my biological sample (spit!) and the results came quickly. The results were close to what I expected, but the details were fascinating!
Took forever to finally get our results and they were okay just really expensive will not recommend to highly to anyone but overall still a very positive company and producer.
Love this! I got the ancestry and health and the results were so detailed. It also arrived quicker than I expected. Love the different factors they include for health data.
This is an awesome tool to figure out where you're from! My family didn't have any answers for me when I asked, so it's nice to be able to figure it out with no background
I recommend 23andme to all my family and friends. It's so interesting to see your heritage, genetic predispositions, and to see the research that you get to contribute to.
Super cool and a lot of fun for me and my family. It answered a few questions we had about mixed backgrounds and it was really interesting to see the variation in siblings.
Very interesting breakdown of your health by analyzing your DNA. I think it's worth the money because it shows you both your ethnicity breakdown as well as the health side.
Q & A
Is really worth the money ?
Is there anyway I could get this for free and review it? I have heard nothing but good things!
Always wanted to try one of these similar products....worth it?
Has anyone tried their DNA tests? How does it compare to AncestryDNA? Do you get the ancestry analysis along with the breakdown of genetic predispositions (more likely to need more sleep, have curly hair, like coffee, be good at running, etc) or is it one or the other?
