As an adoptee, I've always wanted to take a DNA test. 23 and me was very simple to use and offered great results. I was able to find hundreds of blood relatives as well as get a glimpse into my ancestral make up. I would (and have) definitely recommend it to others!
My family used this to see what health issues we were predisposed for. It was easy to do and send updates as they discover new info. It was really interesting to see where my ancestors came from. There were a lot more countries included in my genetics than I knew about.
Simple, and easy process! I bought this online as a gift for my partner. It's very cool that you can get such in depth results about ancestry, and my girlfriend was super happy about it because she doesn't know too much about her family's history beyond her grandmother.
Received the 23 and me kit for my birthday and was super excited. I love how easy it was to get set-up : simply download the app and follow the instructions! It takes a few weeks to get the results but it was fun to go through their findings and share it with my siblings!
23andMe! made this process so much easier than I initially thought it would. They send you the box with the kit giving exact instructions and then you just send it back! Within three weeks I had my results in my inbox. Graphs we're so easy to understand. Highly recommend!
I had a relative offer to but me the kit so she could find out more about her blood line. I didn't look into it before hand but was always curious about it. Once I turned in the sample I couldn't wait for results! The app is so easy to use and explains about each thing.
Great! Took less than the 6-8 weeks that was expected. It was so interesting to learn more in depth, I had a good idea about my history but this brought things into life that I didn't know about! It was relatively expensive, but well worth it. I would (and have) recommended it to family and friends!
I always wanted to know more about my ancestry and this service offered some surprising results in my family history! I recommend it to everyone and think it is worth every penny. I also received the health results, which were accurate and very cool to know more about.
I was adopted from Colombia when I was an infant, so I've grown up having a lot of questions. I was so excited to hear about 23andMe and I've been able to finally learn about my DNA. Thank you so much 23andMe for me helping me fill in a few more pieces of the puzzle!
I really like 23andme because it doesn't just focus on ancestry. They give you insights on health and what you should look out for or talk to your doctors about in the future. Yes it pricey, but I would recommend it to others, especially if you plan on having children.
Q & A
Is really worth the money ?
Is there anyway I could get this for free and review it? I have heard nothing but good things!
Always wanted to try one of these similar products....worth it?
Has anyone tried their DNA tests? How does it compare to AncestryDNA? Do you get the ancestry analysis along with the breakdown of genetic predispositions (more likely to need more sleep, have curly hair, like coffee, be good at running, etc) or is it one or the other?
