I was gifted the pool skimmer socks by Influenster and let me tell you, they work like a breeze. I had never heard of these before. They make weekly maintenance cleaning so much easier. Just take it out, dump in the trash, and put back in or even wash if you’d like. I think it’s a fairly great value as well, for the original price. I highly recommend.

Free product via Influenster The thought of a sock for the basket of our skimmers in the pool seemed intriguing, so I opted to review. When the package came, it was nondescript, as seen in the picture, but it was clear what they are. To use, you have to stretch the sock over the basket, which was easy enough to do. The sock did appear to be firm across the top of the basket, and when put into the skimmer, the basket did float (did not go the bottom as it is to). Directions suggested adding a rock (that is the large brown bit in the photo, that is not dirt), and down it went, right where it was supposed to. I kept it in a couple nights, of which one night was windy, with a lot of grass, pollen and leaves blown into the pool. You can see all the debris collected over those 2 nights. Couple photos to show the debris as well. Instead of rinsing clean and returning to basket, I grabbed a new sock and used that. I let the first sock dry to facilitate cleaning the sock. The basket did not require cleaning, as the sock collected it all, and in fact, collects even smaller sized debris the basket doesn't, meaning less gets to the large filter (Pentair cartridge, in this case). Once dry, I turned the sock inside out, almost all the debris fell off the sock, a quick tap or 2 and the sock was clean, intact and ready for use (photo). I looked to see what the cost of these are, and actually not badly priced (60 for $10 is one example). The ease of use, the idea of this level of debris not getting through to large filter provides a level of appreciation. I will be using these from now on in the pool. I asked my SIL to also try. She had larger skimmer baskets than I, but was able to get sock on easily. She really preferred the fact the socks caught small sticks and bugs so these do not get stuck in the basket itself. She also said this is a product she would be using regularly.

This product does exactly as the name states. It is quick to put over your plastic skimmer bucket and easy to remove. The material is stretchy and easily adjusts to the basket! It certainly simplifies cleaning the pool baskets.
