After trying many other high end hair detanglers/smoothing treatments from It’s a 10 to Kenra to Paul Mitchell this is by far the best. I get it from my hairdresser who introduced me to 12 Benefits many years ago. Nothing compares to 12 Benefits, all the others either make your hair harder to detangle or they leave your hair greasy, which is most of them. I have long fine hair, a lot of it & it’s colored. I use only high end products & the results speak for themselves. I towel dry my hair with a microfiber towel (regular towels tear up your hair), then use about 10 spritzes of the 12 Benefits, which is a very fine mist, starting about a quarter of the way from my scalp all the way to the ends, more on the ends. Then I use a wide spaced detangling brush starting from the ends up & it goes through my hair like butter, no tangles or snags. I would also recommend you invest in silk or satin pillowcases to save your hair from breaking. Maintaining beautiful long hair that’s processed does cost & takes work, but it’s so worth it. If I’m not going anywhere I just blow dry my hair with my Dyson (also a must to save your long hair) on medium cool setting, then use the smoothing attachment to get rid of any flyaways & make the hair silky smooth. I suggest you always blow dry your hair if you wash it before going to bed because sleeping on wet hair will break it. If going out I use Kenra smoothing spray after 12 Benefits and Paul Mitchell volume spray when towel dry & hairspray after to set the hair. I would definitely recommend 12 Benefits for anyone who cares about their hair. It’s not cheap, $32 for the full size 6oz bottle, and $12 for the travel 1oz one, but so worth it. And because it’s a fine mist you get a lot out of it, the full size bottle lasts me about 2 months washing my hair three times a week. As with everything you get what you pay for. I will never stop using 12 Benefits & suggest you at least try it. But buy it from a salon, not off Amazon, Target or Walmart, they are fakes.
