My husband ordered roses for my birthday from 1800Flowers. They don't deliver on Mondays apparently so I got them after my birthday, which was fine. They deliver via UPS and it's the middle of summer so they sat on the hot truck all day long. Needless to say they did not look great when they arrived. But I cut them and put them in water and they peeked up and ended being absolutely beautiful after a couple of days!! So overall it's worth it
Ordered a fruit arrangement that was meant to look like a birthday cake. Spent over $100 on it and had it delivered. My MIL loved it, but the execution left something to be desired. The fruit was fresh, I will say that, and I'm well aware that things don't always turn out like the picture, but it's disappointing when you look at it and think "that doesn't even resemble a cake." Stick with their flowers instead. They do nice work that way.
I have been using 1-800-Flowers for many years and have never been disappointed. I send my mom flowers every birthday, mother's day, and Valentine's. The arrangements are of such beauty and high quality! The flowers are also fresh every single time! They always bring a smile to me 85 year old moms face and that to me is priceless. I have tried other services before and always go back to this one. Can't be wrong after all these years.
I thought this was a great way to give my mom flowers for her birthday since I was across the country. Her and my sister sent me photos as they opened the package and the flowers were smushed and packed frozen in the box. They looked pretty sad, but after my sister and mom put them in water and they defrosted, they blossomed and looked pretty nice. My mom said they lasted about a week, which I think is the general lifetime of flowers.
No online flower store is cheap by any means, but with 1-800-Flowers, you really do get high quality bouquets for the money. The convenience factor is also worth the price. Delivery was problem-free, and the blooms were fantastic. They last longer than you'd expect, too. I like taking advantage of their deals and special sales, too. You really can save a chunk of money by being smart with your selection. Give it a try!
I received a Mother's Day bouquet from my mother for my first mothers day this year. We live in different towns so she thought this would be a nice surprise and a good way to have flowers delivered. However, the inside of the box had many tears in the cardboard and the flowers inside seemed weak and didn't last more than a day. I frequently keep vases of fresh flowers in my home, so I'm well aware of how to care for them. I wouldn't recommend 1-800-Flowers to anyone to use. Flowers are much too fragile to be shipped in such a way. Buy from your local florist instead!
I've had two experiences with 1-800-Flowers, and I was disappointed both times. The problem is in the delivery. The local florists they partner with seem to be unable to fulfill the online orders on time. The first time, the delivery never arrived. The second time, I received a confirmation email that the order had been delivered two hours before it was actually done (and, at that point, two hours later than what was promised).
So my husband bought me flowers I received the flowers damaged and the vase broken I was very discouraged that they would even deliver it in the shape that it was. So turning something that was supposed to be awesome for me and then dealing with the customer service just so they could send me more flowers with no vase the amount that my husband spent on it it was definitely not worth the hassle however the flowers were beautiful
My husband ordered me roses from this seller for Valentine's Day. They were lovely on arrival and all buds were closed. Sadly, within twelve hours of putting them in the vase, the buds were drooping and didn't ever bloom. We called the customer service number who offered us a 20% refund. I followed this up with a Tweet to their account and they made it right--a new delivery to replace the bad one, with much healthier roses. I appreciated the replacement but wish they'd done the right thing without us having to call them out on social media.
My husband ordered flowers for me for Mother's Day and the flowers were never delivered, even though he received an order and delivery confirmation. When he contacted customer service he was told that the order never made from their system to the local florist. They then wanted to know if he wanted the flowers to be delivered later in the week, post Mother's Day. When he said he wanted a refund it took forever to get it okayed by a supervisor.
Q & A
How are their deliveries? are they one time and fresh?
I've heard bad things about this company. Are they really that bad?
I have previously received flowers from 1800flowers and some of the flowers were wilted and I was missing a couple of roses from my two dozen. Really disappointed. Has anyone else experienced this?
I would like to know how long does this to to be delivered?
I am concerned when ordering fresh flowers online. Have many times when ordering and sending to another city....what you ordered and what the person received is quite different in style and quality....can't control. I prefer to go to a store, see the product and talk to a person.
