My husband ordered me flowers from their website and refreshed the page while submitting payment and somehow ended up submitting the order twice. We called immediately afterward to cancel the extra order and were told that we would be refunded. A few days later, the payment still hasn't been sent back to us and we received both flower orders. The customer service rep I spoke with was polite, but we would've just liked our one set of flower and our money back.
I've used 1-800-FLOWERS several times and have not been disappointed yet. They've always had the arrangements delivered on time, and the recipients use always raved about the beauty and quality. I highly recommend this service if you need to send floral arrangements of any kind, whether to your next door neighbor or across the country.
My brother and I ordered mothers day flowers for our mother. When the flowers arrived some were dead/broken. The rest of the bouquet was beautiful. A huge downfall is the prices. I think we ended up spending $80 after all the fees and we bought a small bouquet. Most likely wont be ordering again due to that and also the flowers completely died and withered in under a week so that was disappointing. They flowers were pretty though so that's why I give 3 stars.
I order a lot of flowers for various occasions through my employment. I go back and forth with ordering from 1-800-Flowers and FTD. It typically depends on who I can get a Groupon deal through. 9 times out of ten it's FTD for the win. Regardless, I think flower arrangements are priced so high, it's absurd but we keep ordering.
They have been helpful in getting flowers to my mother for special occasions. i.e. mother's day and birthdays. The issue that my mother experiences is that she lives in a gated apartment and more often then not, they will leave the package (clearly marked as flowers) outside the gate and she doesn't even know they are there until she goes out and at that time, they could have easily been taken away from someone else without her knowledge.
I have made many purchases through 1-800-flowers, unfortunately not all have been positive experiences. Sometimes they knock it out of the park with amazing flowers and great service, but other times the service has been terrible. Twice I have paid extra for flowers to be delivered on a specific date and both times they were not delivered on time. Customer service was great at refunding me on those occasions however refunds do not take place of the flowers being delivered when expected.
Great experience with this company, though I admit I was wary after seeing some news reports about crappy flowers. After what was a tragic ordeal this summer, I sent an arrangement for next day delivery to a friend. She and her family not only got my order, but were really touched with the expert care that went into the flower arrangement. My only reason for leaving off a star is that they weren't very transparent about when delivery would occur.
I ordered my friend a floral birthday cake. When she sent me the picture of what it looked like, I was very embarrassed, as it looked nothing like the picture on the website. I emailed 1800Flowers to let them know about my disappointment, and they apologized, sent a new bouquet out from a different local florist, an issued me a credit to use for the future. Things happen, but their customer service was great, and for that I will give them another try
For my mother's birthday I wanted to surprise her with a bouquet of flowers at her job. I ordered and did as needed . I didn't receive a confirmation that the flowers were on their way or sent . I called multiple times and was on hold for more than half an hour . I paid $60 for a bouquet that did not look anything like the picture and were way less flowers than demonstrated. It was a horrible experience and I will not be buying from them again .
I ordered a bouquet for my Moms birthday. I selected a full bouquet with lush looking flowers. When they arrived, my Mom said the stems were completely dried out and it looked NOTHING like the image online. It's looked like a puny horrible bouquet. I was completely disappointed. The only benefit was that they sent a new bouquet (after I submitted a complaint) and that one looked nice (still missing a few flowers as shown in the image online).
Q & A
How are their deliveries? are they one time and fresh?
I've heard bad things about this company. Are they really that bad?
I have previously received flowers from 1800flowers and some of the flowers were wilted and I was missing a couple of roses from my two dozen. Really disappointed. Has anyone else experienced this?
I would like to know how long does this to to be delivered?
I am concerned when ordering fresh flowers online. Have many times when ordering and sending to another city....what you ordered and what the person received is quite different in style and quality....can't control. I prefer to go to a store, see the product and talk to a person.
