I used 1-800-flowers to order flowers for Grandmother's funeral out of state. The day of the funeral, they called me 6 hours after the funeral had commenced to tell me they were not able to deliver the flowers. I was HORRIFIED to say the least. I was in tears for days. They offered to send another CHEAPER sympathy arrangement to a house address of my choice. That's it. UNBELIEVABLE. NOT RECOMMENDED BY ANY MEANS especially for something as important as a loved one's funeral you are not able to attend. One of the worst experiences of my life at one of the worst times of my life. There are no words for my level of shock.
Any time I need flowers delivered I use this service if I don't know any local florists! The receivers always seem very pleased and the service is incredibly fast!
I recently moved to Portland, OR and away from my family in Georgia. I unfortunately was unable to make it home for Mother's Day for the first time ever and felt awful about not being there for my Mom. So I decided to send her some flowers since I would not be able to be there. I searched online and found the perfect arrangement on 1-800-Flowers. They arrived exactly when they were supposed to and my Mom absolutely loved them. My mom sent me pictures and they were exactly as pictured online, vase, flowers and all! I was so happy and impressed, I will definitely be using 1-800-Flowers again! Thanks!
So I decided to step outside the box for Valentines Day and have flowers delivered to my boyfriend at his job. I sent him a nice arrangement that came from his local florist in a mug. It got to him on time, assembled and with healthy flowers. He works at Microsoft and he said all the men in his department were actually jealous. Whoda thought men like to have special things delivered to work like we do?! I think the arrangement was fairly priced and I was overall happy with my purchase, so was he! I get coupons periodically and special offers via email. I will surely continue to order from them.
The last time I used 1-800-Flowers was to send my mom a bouquet for Mother's Day. The roses I purchased arrived in a large box that contained the flowers as well as a vase. There were also flower food packets that you put in the water to keep the roses alive. The roses were beautiful and lasted longer than many other flowers I purchased before. My only complaint is that I did not really care to assemble the flowers myself. Furthermore, it took several days for the flowers to start blooming. Overall, I have always had a great experience with 1-800-Flowers and would highly recommend it.
I've ordered from 1-800-Flowers several times in the past, but my most recent order was a by disappointing. The delivery was a day late and was not the bouquet I ordered because their local florist did not have the blooms needed for it. The only area of improvement I would recommend is to make certain their local florists can deliver the product desired BEFORE charging my card. The arrangement itself was beautiful, but again, not what I had requested. Customer service did contact me and communicate the mishap and what the would do to alleviate the issue, which I immensely appreciated!
I have only used 1800-Flowers a handful of times. I wanted to send flowers for various occasions to friends who live in other parts of the state and country and thought this would be a great way to do it. The website was very easy to navigate but the pricing wasn't great and the selection seemed to lean toward to cheesy side. I have found calling a well reviewed local florist to be a better option, both style wise and financially.
I like ordering from them. I just sent my grandma a nice little gardenia for Mother's Day. I ordered it a few weeks before the big holiday, so I was able to save some real money. I've got a tip to share. You'll save even more if you visit the site put something in your cart, leave, and go to another site with customized ads. The prices will drop a lot. You'll find the same cute plants and flowers. My grandma was very happy with flowers and they were delivered in a nice box right to her door. They shipped UPS, not from a local florist. I did not want to pay a large fee to get them delivered on Sunday, so I had them shipped on the Friday, and that's when they arrived.
Since my parent's moved it is easier just to order off of here and send it to them. Every item I've sent has been great and they've loved it. My mom has had the same orchid that I had sent her for Mother's Day... for about 4 years now. It still blooms a purple flower, which is why I got it for her since it's her favorite color and flower. Before they had glass flowers and you could engrave someone's name on the tag. I did that for her as well and she loved it. The orchid at the time was like $20 and the glass flower was around $25-30 as well. Some of the items now are outrageous in price.
my husband sends me flowers from here for special occasions and i am sorry to say i am never happy with them. for the price you pay you are definitely not getting what you pay for. the flowers are the cheap kind and the bouquets are skimpy. while i do understand that the pricing includes delivery and usually a teddy bear accompanies my flowers, i am overall really unimpressed. youre better off going to your local florist or grocery store and putting a bouquet together there with the help of the florist on staff. you will get a nicer bouquet for probably half the cost.
Q & A
How are their deliveries? are they one time and fresh?
I've heard bad things about this company. Are they really that bad?
I have previously received flowers from 1800flowers and some of the flowers were wilted and I was missing a couple of roses from my two dozen. Really disappointed. Has anyone else experienced this?
I would like to know how long does this to to be delivered?
I am concerned when ordering fresh flowers online. Have many times when ordering and sending to another city....what you ordered and what the person received is quite different in style and quality....can't control. I prefer to go to a store, see the product and talk to a person.
