I love all things beauty related. I have often thought about opening up my own Day Spa! I love to be pampered! My favorite things in life are discovering new things, new people and new places! I live every moment to the fullest always looking toward a brighter tomorrow!
I hated it. It leaked all over the refrigerator. I think the squeeze idea is a food one, but the design needs to be rethought. It was also very difficult to get all the sour cream out of the squeeze tube. I will continue to buy it in the "old fashioned" tubs.
This is my go to color when I can't decide on what color to wear. It looks fabulous on just about any skin tone, even very pale tones like myself. I love the formula that MAC uses, it glides on smoothly and never becomes clumpy, sticky or gummy throughout the day.
I really the texture, constancy and taste of Yoplait Whips Raspberry Mousse Yogurt Mousse. Sometimes they are difficult to find at my local Walmart or Safeway, However anytime I see them I can't resist grabbing a few. I like the Yoplait brand in general, they always seem to come out with something new and innovative.
My cat just loves chewing on these. I get the added assurance that I am doing something good for the health and well being of my kitty. They are a little bit expensive, but honesty we can't place a price on the health of our beloved pets. I'll definitely continue buying these.
Disclosure: I received the newly reformulated version of Perricone MD No Makeup Foundation Serum complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
My Skin Concerns:
I've had issues with redness, oily skin, acne and dry patches all my life. Now at age 46 I have some small wrinkles, crows feet and enlarged pores. These are the immediate concerns that look toward minimizing the appearance of, when choosing a foundation. Foundation shade matching is also a priority as no one wants to appear as if they're wearing a mask.
The product: Perricone MD No Makeup Foundation Serum
Shade matching- Company Claims: "Using the dermatological standard for categorizing skin, our simplified range of shades is virtually foolproof. You dont need to find the exact match to your skin tone and undertone. We used neutral base colors combined with innovative, adaptive pigments that reflect color from your own skin, so it's easy for everyone to find at least one shade that looks great on them!"
My experience: The shade I selected matched well to my normal skin tone and found I didn't have to work hard to blend it down to meet my natural neck color.
Coverage- Company Claims: "You can apply with your fingers, and layer for more coverage and a semi-matte finish. Whether you like a dramatic or "no makeup look, it feels and looks like natural, beautiful skin."
My experience: I found the makeup to be lightweight and easy to apply with my fingers. The first application I found to smooth over my skin very easily and was not at all oily or greasy. The makeup had a very soft velvety feel that I didn't have to work hard to apply (With the exception of fine lines and blemished areas; see below). The 2nd application did give additional coverage and built up easily without "slipping around" or becoming cakey due to the additional application.
Skincare- Company Claims: "With an enhanced mix of skincare ingredients, it will give you the look you want right away, while helping to create the natural skin you want over time."
My experience: It didn't give me the immediate look I had hoped for. The foundation seemed to lay on top of fine lines and imperfections and then require additional blending in those areas. Upon additional blending the foundation easily settled into my fine lines and wrinkles and made them more apparent. My skin was dry from recient climate change due to travel and the foundation highlighted and clumped to the dry areas. I can not address claims on giving the natural skin you want over time as I have not used this product long enough to evaluate that claim.
Fragrance: I found the makeup to be a bit medicinal in smell perhaps due to the daisy extract I believe is used.
Appearance: Beacause the foundation settled into my small lines, wrinkles and pores those areas seemed to appear larger and more pronounced than normal.
Price: At the current price point of $60 for 1oz. I find it much too expensive to purchase this product based upon the failure in overall appearance (in my case).
Final Thoughts and Recommendations: I would'nt recommend this product for anyone who has small lines, wrinkles, crows feet, overly dry skin, moderate or large pores. I would recommend this product for those with already youthful skin whose blemishes/ acne is under control with the hopes that the claims of "giving you the natural skin you want over time" would be realized.
As much as I have traveled over the years, I have purchased many Lonely Planet Travel guides. I do enjoy them however; As a avid traveler I have come to find that I like "Rough Guides" just a bit better. The accuracy of information and the usefulness of information in "Rough Guides" seems to be superior. When it comes down to it though, it really is all a matter of personal preference.
