As usual from LORAC, the shadows are gorgeous, and buttery soft. A nice range from lights to darks, with a bit of shimmer. And you can't go wrong with a the LORAC primer. The brush isn't amazing, but it's good. The only reason to not give an A is because of the case--it's small but really bulky, and the lid doesn't stay open well. It's pretty, but not the easiest for functional use.
I first read this book in high school, a good 15 years ago, and the beauty and power of Angelou's writing still stays with me. There were paragraphs I would reread, just to get to experience the words again, they were that beautiful, even when they were telling a story of pain.
I held off on buying this for a while, but I'm so glad I finally caved! I have it in Exposed, and it is just such a gorgeous color and tone for my skin. It lasts pretty much all day, and a little goes a LONG way! I've had it for almost a month, and used it daily, and it barely looks like I've touched it in the pan. I would absolutely recommend for those who are fans of powder blush--plus there are a lot of different colors/shades, so you're bound to find something flattering!
I read the entire trilogy in 2 days, a feat I don't attempt very often with a full time job and a three year old. The books are captivating, the characters engaging, the story exciting. The series drew me in like few have. I recommend it to everyone.
The first half of this book I found a little tedious--I found the main character kind of annoying actually. But once it starts picking up speed, it gets addictive fast. I finished the rest of the series in a few days after that.
I've gotten some amazing deals through Hautelook, including makeup, skincare, and even furniture. The deals can be fantastic, if you can keep yourself from buying just to buy.
The shipping is SLOW however, and can be expensive depending on what you buy. One of my orders took a month to arrive. So I would never use this to buy gifts for something that is coming up soon. But for the deals, I'm willing to take the slow shipping.
