I have five wonderfully crazy kids from infant up to pre-teen. I love things that simplify my life. I also love reviewing products and books to help save others time too!
My hobbies include quilting and sewing for friends and family. I enjoy photography on my Canon Rebel, videoing craziness with my GoPro, and technology in general. I also love doing my hair and makeup. In my (tiny bit of) free time I love to read Christian and Inspirational Fiction (Historical is my favorite.)
This is my absolute favorite eyeliner!! It smudges nicely for a subtle smokey eye. I really love the soft brown color for everyday wear and I like that I can darken it up with a black liner for a more glamorous look.
I had nearly given up on finding a nice glitter polish I can apply without using sponges (great technique but a little messy and time consuming). Prism (1026) is PERFECT!! I get full coverage glitter in two thin coats!! It has a slight purplish tint and has both micro and standard size glitter.
My kids and I love using these Swiss Miss K-Cups in our Keurig!! They are so easy and mess-free! There is no powder to spill and cleanup is a breeze. I only wish these could come with those mini marshmallows!!
Gojo is a Backyard BBQ must-have!! We use it to marinate chicken before grilling and it is so yummy! We just cover the chicken with a little Gojo and let it sit in the fridge overnight for lunch or dinner the next day.
1) It smells wonderful! Some sunscreens smell like coconut or flowers, but this has a fresh "beach" smell that isn't too sweet or overpowering.
2) It goes on like all other sunscreens. When I first read the name I assumed it would be like a foam or super thin cream that wouldn't cover or would take too much to get adequate sun protection. I was wrong. It is a cream and spreads just like all sunscreens I've used before.
3) It doesn't feel sticky - it really is weightless once it dries. After about 2 minutes I couldn't feel the difference between the spot where I first tested it and the rest of my arm. The only indication is the smell.
I will warn you cannot find these two particular types of Filippo Berio® oil in some stores yet. Kroger doesn’t have it. We were able to track it down in Publix and a friend said she saw it at Bi-Lo. It is worth the effort to find it!
filippo berio olive oilWe decided to try the Robusto because we eat a lot of meat and poultry. Hubby used it on our steaks for my early birthday lunch. This oil was a great replacement to the butter we usually use. He used the Filippo Berio® Robusto Oil, salt, and pepper then pan seared them before baking in the oven until done. Delicious!!
This oil has a nice flavor without being bitter. I want to try and make some of the copy-cat Carababa’s seasons to sprinkle in the oil and dip in some fresh bread. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

1. It is accurate. That’s important right? Of course! I tested it again other thermometers and it holds its own very well in the accuracy department. 2. To touch or not to touch. You can use this thermometer on your sleeping baby or fussy toddler (or irritable husband) without ever touching them! Yep, that’s right, it works up to several inches away. 3. No fancy hand-waving or swiping necessary. Just aim (or touch) the thermometer at the center of the forehead (between the eyebrows) and press the button. 4. Sound or no sound. If you want to know when the temperature has been detected the thermometer beeps, but there’s a handy switch to turn off the beep if you don’t want to disturb your sleeping little ones. 5. Green, Yellow, Red. The display rates the temperature as normal (green), low-grade fever (yellow), or high fever (red). Very handy for zombie mommy at 3am. 6. Lightweight and simple to operate. Again easy for exhausted parents at all hours of the day or night. Bottom line: This thermometer beats out any other one I’ve tried and I will definitely be recommending it to all my friends and family.

I was a little skeptical when I saw the color and texture of the Gerber® but my 11 month old couldn’t care less what it looked like 😉 He liked the taste and the texture. We have been giving him small bites of food since day-1 of his solid adventure, so he already knows how to chew. I mainly go for taste and variety. These cups of food had a good size serving. It didn’t fill him up, but that’s to be expected. And as I said he liked the taste so this mama approves.
I received a cute little goodie bag from Gerber including a sample of these Lil’ Bits™ (via BzzAgent) to try. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own and unbiased.
My kiddos were super excited to test out these new Tastykake® Minis and these yummy little cupcakes did not disappoint. We tried the Mini Swirly Cupcakes with chocolate cakes which are made with Hershey’s Cocoa, then topped with chocolate icing and white creme filling.
My kiddos all gave them two thumbs up (= 5 stars) and we will probably end up buying these again in the future because the serving size was perfect to split as a small snack between my three older kids.
Be sure to stop by TastyKake® online to see their full line of yummy cupcakes at TastyKake® on Facebook and TastyKake® on Instagram.
