I'm a single mom who loves looking nice (and young ... not going to lie) but sometimes those things are out of my budget range. I love diy as well as finding solid otc (over the counter) dupes or ones that are better. I will always give my honest opinion, whether it's good or bad. Hope you all follow me and see where this crazy road takes us :)
If it's not creasing then you're probably fine. But primer does increase the longevity and improves the brightness of color. It makes the colors pop more and can make them last all day into the night with no touch up, including eyeliner. sometimes I wear it with eyeliner only to keep it in place so it doesn't smudge or run. Try a cheaper one first. I would suggest Hard Candy.
Shelby J. asked, “I have always worn eyeshadow without primer and never noticed any creasing. Do you notice a big difference when you use it? Is it worth spending the money?”
I seem to notice the trend if you find the liquid lipstick extremely drying. I don't find them so. I make sure to exfoliate and hydrate my lips while I sleep. Personally I wouldn't recommend the balm as it will mess with both the staying power and the matte finish. I try to make sure my lips are completely oil free
Deanna G. asked, “I heard that putting lip balm under these are a must. Is that true? What brand lip balm works best?”
Yes worth the money, as for the staying power it depends on the color. I've noticed the neutral colors stay on longer throughout the day barring greasy food and such. The reds or other others tend to rub off after a bit and are no longer kiss proof. But they do last just need a touch up. I don't find them super drying, but for the money I've fallen in love with them. I like it better than my kat von d and it's staying power.
Vee V. asked, “How are their Matte Liquid Lipsticks? I want to buy some but I'm hesitant because I can only find them online and I'd hate to buy it and not like it. Do they last all day (especially when you eat and drink)? And for $6 is it worth it?”
I tend to have most foundation make my skin look dry. I'm a fan of matte but not desert looking skin. This did seem to give me more dewy, natural look and didn't dry my skin. I don't know if it made it "better" but I did notice I wasn't as dry nor did my skin look that way.
Mashiyat B. asked, “Is this foundation good for dry skin? Also does it make your skin better hence the name better skin?”
I'm going to be perfectly honest. In my opinion not on all skin tones. I have Naked palette one and found it just didn't love all the colors, some were a complete wash out on me. midnight cowboy was a waste. The problem is, depending in which one you get or like most are either shimmer or matte, but not an even combo of both. Same goes for colors. Yes they blend well and I love virgin, but if you're on a budget and wear makeup everyday, it might go fast and get pricey. I have the new Maybelline The Nudes and found it use it more than my Naked one. My advice is if you want to try it, make sure to get a good primer and buy from like Sephora as they have a return policy if you don't like it. Hope that helps.
Elizabeth L. asked, “I don't know much about the naked pallet. I was thinking about getting it. Is it worth it? hoping for good reviews. thanks. ”
