Review for: URBAN DECAY Born To Run Eyeshadow Palette more...
This palette is simply beautiful. I’d been thinking of buying it for so long, and I was kindly gifted it for Christmas. It’s full of everything you could need while you’re on the go, from neutral mattes to bold shimmers and metallics. I particularly love the shade ‘Baka’, which is a matte burnt orange - so stunning! I find the shades to be very easy to apply and blend, and they have fab pigment (I actually find them a bit more pigmented than other UD shadows). For 15 killer shades, this palette really is worth the price tag!
I bought this palette for a Halloween look and hadn’t touched it since, but I’ve been loving having a play about with it lately. It isn’t the most pigmented brights palette that I’ve ever seen, but it is much higher quality than cheaper drug store palettes. You get a great range of shades covering the whole rainbow, so it’s pretty versatile for the affordable price tag. I find the yellow shadow to be a bit iffy, but the rest are fab!
I am OBSESSED with the body yogurts from The Body Shop. First of all, they smell delicious and almost good enough to eat. Secondly, the texture is way thinner than their body butters, which I find just sit on top of the skin because they’re so thick, but because these yogurts are thin, they sink right into the skin. The delicious scent lingers all day and your skin is moisturised without feeling sticky. I highly recommend them, especially the almond milk or banana scents
I bought this palette after it was recommended to me on Influenster. I was a bit scared of how bright and pigmented the shades looked, but I loooove red tones, so I picked it up just after Christmas. I am IN LOVE with it! Yes, the bright shades are bright, but there are also several neutral shades if you want a more pared back look. It feels like such high quality and the packaging is super luxurious. The shade names are brilliant and each shade is packed into the pan so well that there is barely any kick back when you put your brush into the. It’s seriously stunning and I’d HIGHLY recommend it
Again, like with the shampoo, this conditioner smells DELICIOUS. I work it through the ends of my hair and let it soak in while I complete the rest of my shower routine. I then wash it out and blow dry, and it leaves my hair feeling so soft. Not all affordable products are bad! I have been using this for years and will continue to use it
Pink coloured things are usually the things that smell the best and this shampoo is no exception to that! Yes, it’s a cheap brand, brand the shampoo works up such an amazing lather, leaves my hair feeling super soft once it’s dried and it leaves a scent that lingers all day. Definitely pair it with the raspberry conditioner! My grandma used to wash my hair with them both when I was little, so these products hold a special place in my heart
This set is absolutely fantastic! I received it for Christmas and I can already see many of the brushes included becoming a staple for me. I am OBSESSED with the 200 brush (expert foundation brush). I have never done my foundation with a brush that leaves me with such a flawless, non-streaky base. The complexion sponge is already a firm fave, but I can also see the large, fluffy 400 brush becoming my go to for blush and the 402 being perfect for setting my undereyes. It’s a brilliant set and I highly recommend buying!
I used to love this mascara, but I’ve recently tried it again and wondered what I ever saw in it! Yes, it’s super black and makes your lashes look thick, but it takes a lot of work to get there. It gets clumpy and it transfers horribly on to my eyelids. I find it gets flaky throughout the day and can’t withstand any sort of liquid touching it whatsoever. It definitely isn’t one to get if you’re going to be watching a sad film! I don’t think I will be repurchasing
I LOVE this product. As someone with combination skin, I tend to use matte foundation, but in the summer, I like to have a slightly more dewy look. I add a few drops of this into my foundation and hey presto, I have a matte foundation that has a slight glow to it! I love that it comes in a squeeze tube as it feels very hygienic and a little goes such a long way. The only problem I’ve had is that if I add to much to my foundation, it applies a bit weirdly, but I’ve managed to perfect the amount I’m adding
