Review for Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector - 1 month, 2 weeks ago

Review for: Medium more...
Overall, this is a great B.B. cream with medium-full buildable coverage and SPF. I haven’t had trouble with the pump at all, and two pumps is enough for my entire face when I want natural-looking medium coverage.
Only reason I’m giving this four stars instead of five is because I am between shades, medium and medium dark; so I prefer Origins tinted moisturizer which adapts to my skin tone, brightens, and has higher SPF. (Or, if you want fuller, foundation-like coverage, you can get IT Cosmetics CC cream with higher SPF as well.)
I love Urban Decay (mostly their lip & eye products, primer spray), but I want the products on my skin to help care for or improve it, not just mask it. I know this B.B. cream is supposed to help improve skin with use, but the Origins one just works better (instantly) for me. Would still recommend this product, in my top 5 B.B. creams.

Review for: Medium more...
This CC cream has insanely good, even coverage and lasts through the day on my combo skin without getting greasy.
Great all-in-one product for everyday (buildable) coverage, will mask redness and under eye circles.
While I like the product overall, I think I prefer the origins tinted moisturizer because of the lighter feel and more natural look; also, it’s a huge plus that the Origins one will match my skin tone as I tan, instead of having to purchase a different shade for the summer.
Otherwise, great product that I’d use when I want more coverage, and would recommend to others who don’t have the preferences that I have.
Review for Neutrogena Hydrating Lip Treatment - 2 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
Bought this during Ulta’s Spring Haul event recently at about half off, but I would say it’s worth full price. Fits perfectly in the palm, and a little bit goes a very long way; I tend to only use it once at night and once every other morning to keep my lips hydrated.
My lips would get dry fairly quickly, and I don’t like having to apply chapstick throughout the day because I don’t want buildup on the opening of my water bottle. Using this product at night before bed is all it takes to ensure my lips don’t dry out during the (next) day.
Five stars, would recommend and repurchase for sure because a nice additional benefit from using this is that my lips seem to be brighter/pinker after only one week.
Review for Bio-Oil Specialist Moisturizer - 2 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
Multitasking product that feels great, absorbs well, and gives noticeable results! No strong scent when using nor lingering after absorbed. A little product (a few drops) goes a long way.
Love to use this all over immediately after showering and before towel drying, while skin is still wet, especially on arms and legs (really helps minimize KP and even skin tone).
Review for Eltamd UV Daily SPF 40 - 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
Got a two-pack at Costco for a great price, so not sure that I’d purchase this at regular price.
I bought this in the hopes that it would actually absorb and not leave white streaks on my medium-tan skin (even Neutrogena dry touch sunscreen leaves behind white marks). Although you still have to spend some time rubbing it in, it does absorb faster and better than most sunscreens. Doesn’t leave behind much of a sunscreen smell. Good under makeup.
Cons: if it dries a little before being completely rubbed in, it’s hard to fix because rubbing will make it roll off the skin in white crumbs; small amount of product for the price.
Would recommend, but would only repurchase at Costco or a similar price.
Review for IT Cosmetics® Bye Bye Pores Pressed - 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
A must for visible pores! I bought this recently during Ulta’s 21 DOB at half price, but considering how well it works, I think it’s worth full price.
This product has two compartments stacked on each other; one holds the powder, the other holds the mirror & sponge.
Although the directions say to use a brush, I used the round flat sponge that came with it to press and roll it onto the areas of my face with large pores (T-zone essentially, and on the cheeks around the nose). It immediately made a huge difference and brought a soft focus to my face. A little bit of this pressed powder is all you need to instantly blur large pores!
I haven’t tried using it as a setting powder all over my face (I really only apply this powder to problem areas), so I can’t say I’ve had an issue with a white cast at all.
Love how effective this product is, with or without other makeup (primer, foundation, etc). Brings a soft focus to the face instead of a flat matte effect. Absolutely recommend for anyone with large pores.
Review for Origins GinZing SPF 40 Energy-Boosting Tinted Moisturizer - 2 months, 4 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
Recently bought this during Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty at half off, so it was extra worth it. It’s described as a tinted moisturizer with “sheer tint release” to match all skin shades. As most tinted moisturizers, the coverage is sheer to medium, which is fine with me as I prefer a natural look; it seems some people expected this to act as a BB cream or light foundation, it does not make these claims.
Aside from that, the best part about this was that it instantly brightened and evened my complexion! The moisturizer/SPF combo was not greasy for my combo skin, and the tint somehow matches perfectly and adds to the evening of my skin tone. Does not make me look orange or give a white cast. There is no SPF residue or scent either.
While it does have a slightly odd scent, it is simply different, likely from the coffee beans and ginseng ingredients, and is not strong or offensive (I have allergies), and does not linger once it dries (boyfriend couldn’t smell it on my face).
I would definitely recommend, repurchase, and use this as an everyday tinted moisturizer because of the SPF 40 and the instant brightening and evening affects. The box claims that “Skin looks vibrant, healthy and radiant,” and the product certainly performs. Wish I had stocked up when it was on sale, but this just might have to be one my few beauty splurges.
Review for Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask - 4 months, 1 week ago

Review for: multi/none more...
Another hit from Eva NYC! Light fresh scent, not overpowering. Thick and creamy, a little goes a long way!
I use about a golf ball sized amount on my long (mid-back), straight, thin-medium (thickness) hair and distribute it evenly throughout my hair (even roots) with a wide-tooth comb to quickly detangle my hair in the shower.
Rinses clean, leaves my hair silky soft, more manageable, and less prone to tangles. It does not weigh my hair down or make my roots greasy. Would absolutely repurchase and highly recommend.
Review for Herbal Essences White Grapefruit & Mosa Mint Foam Conditioner - 4 months, 4 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
This was my first time using a foam conditioner, and I was pleasantly surprised with how well this worked! I was skeptical about both the idea of a foam conditioner hydrating well enough, while simultaneously being light enough to use from roots to tips (as instructed).
The first time, I used it sparingly near my roots, but after rinsing cleanly and having no residue or greasy roots, I used it as instructed, evenly from root to tip. Again, no greasy roots! I was a little nervous when the foam seemingly disappeared into my hair, but it must have just absorbed really well (I tend to brush conditioner through my hair with a wide tooth comb to detangle my straight hair in the shower, and this quickly detangled my hair).
I actually really liked this foam conditioner; it did not weigh my hair/roots down and it left my hair noticeably soft, light, and airy.
I only took a star off because, since this was a free sample, I’m not sure the price point and how often one would need to repurchase this based on how long the product lasts (which would also vary depending on hair length, type). I may edit my review in the future based on how many uses I get out of this full-size sample. I would definitely repurchase and recommend as an everyday drugstore conditioner.
