I wasn't too thrilled with my app result the first time I did the scan. It gave me a result that appeared to have too much pink -- I have pink undertones and being sent a pink foundation was not what I had in mind. The app itself was a bit of a pain to use in the first place.
My second scan is the foundation I was sent. I started with a moisturizer and a priming spray. I used a sponge to apply the foundation.
I was expecting more coverage but it was sheer to medium at best. In the end I'm thankful the coverage wasn't full because it looked a couple shades too dark and had yellow tones that made me look slightly orange. I ended up evening things out with a light color correcting powder. I wore a sweater with a higher neckline to help hide that my neck is lighter.
The next morning I was greeted by a lovely, huge zit on my chin and my skin felt really oily.
I know it's not the best recommended use for foundation but I think I'll most likely use this as an eyeshadow primer instead. It's a beautiful bottle and the product isn't cheap to buy, I would hate for it to go to waste.
I use these every morning! They take off lots of stubborn makeup, including staining liquid lipsticks and waterproof mascara. They are perfect for assisting with touch ups as well. (Who hasn't overdrawn their lips and needed to get some off? Because I certainly have.) I have dry patches on my face and these have also helped with moisturizing my skin and reducing skin flaking (gross, I know) without making me feel oily.
Product smells pretty good. A little bit of product went further than I thought it would. I was able to detangle my hair easier after use (I comb my hair while still in the shower).
My issues? I didn't quite see proof after one use, like the slogan claims. Yes, my hair felt soft but it didn't feel any softer than when I use my normal shampoo and conditioner. I started to notice more results after the third use. I have been using the product once a week.
I'm not sure if I would really go out of my way to purchase this but maybe if my split ends were out of control and I really needed something to help calm things down. This product might work better for people with medium length hair, not as thick as mine, and not coarsest textured.
I wanted to like it. I really did. The mascara gave me longer, fuller lashes...for a short time. MY EYELASHES STARTED FALLING OUT. I couldn't believe it. At first it was just the occasional eyelash, no big deal. But then I started losing two, three at a time. I don't think I will be trying this mascara again.
I received a sample of this tea in my Sparkle Vox Box from Influenster.
Not feeling this tea too much. Maybe it's because I'm getting over a nasty flu and my tastebuds could be messed up, but there's not a lot of flavor in my mug with this one. I guess it's too mild? It smells nice (from what I can smell) but I wish the flavor was a little stronger.
I received this face wash in my Sparkle Vox Box from Influenster. I had just thrown out my other face wash and was due to pick up a new one, so this was a nice little surprise!
The cleanser felt gentle on my skin and didn't leave it feeling oily or dry. It removed all my makeup excellently. (Sometimes I use it just to get makeup off my hands, like soap!) I wish it had some exfoliation power, though, as I get dry patches of skin on my face and need to get all the nastiness off.
I received this toothpaste in my Sparkle Vox Box from Influenster.
I have tried Crest products in the past but not this particular toothpaste. I know I have seen it on the shelf, though!
The texture is a bit gritty, which I'm not a fan of, but once you get past that the flavor is pretty good. My mouth felt clean and fresh afterward. I didn't see too much whitening improvement after about 4 days of use, however, maybe it just takes more time.
I received a set of lashes in my Sparkle Vox Box from Influenster. I had never worn false eyelashes before this box, so I don't have any others to compare these to. That being said, my experience was a little tricky at first, considering I had never had to apply fake eyelashes before, but once I figured it out I wore them all day with no real issues. They are a bit long, as they should be, which rubs against the lenses of my glasses. I have worn these a couple more times since the first time I tried them out. If I had to pick up some false eyelashes in the future, I would definitely consider this brand!
