I like this body wash. It has a subtle fragrance and a thick, foaming texture. However, the little exfoliating beads get lodged in my loofa, and they're impossible to rinse out. Aveeno products also still use sodium laureth sulfate in their products, and I'm trying to get away from using products with these ingredients.
I started using this after my son was born. I hopped into the shower to clean up, and all I had for body wash was this. I figured, "What the heck?" and gave it a go. And I've been using it ever since. If it's gentle enough for my little boy's tender skin, it's gentle enough for my dry, rashy, sensitive skin.
I have extremely sensitive skin and have tried every (affordable) product available. Everything I've ever tried has either made my skin dry and crackly or an oil slick. I found this product at Ulta and what attracted my eye first was the simple labels and design. I grabbed a bottle to try and have only used that product on my face and neck since. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean and hydrated. I can't remember the last time I had a breakout. The best part is that it doesn't break the bank. :)
While their ice cream is tasty, it is really overpriced. Combine that with the fact they don't make extra efforts to be globally conscious or environmentally friendly, and I'd rather give my business to Ben and Jerry's. Their ice cream is better anyway.
I discovered Pinterest a few years ago when it was still in beta, and I have loved it ever since. I've found so many great recipes and decor ideas and gifts ideas there! Most of the links are legit, and it's great that there is a way to report and police bad links or inappropriate content. Whenever I need a new idea for my classroom or for dinner or for my house, I hit up Pinterest first!
Etsy is a great site for finding unique and creative gifts. I've had excellent luck with the purchases that I've made there. However, it isn't a very "shopable" site in that there is way too much going on on the site. It's hard to just browse and look through the "shops." You really need to have a very specific focus in mind when searching. All of the purchases I've made there were the result of a referral from a friend or from something I saw on Pinterest. Etsy is just too overwhelming to really enjoy. And I love shopping, so that's saying something.
I love all things Burt's Bees because they are 1.) a local company (for me), and 2.) they have sound business practices. Their products are generally awesome. I received this creme as a gift from a student last year, and I was very excited. I love the way it smells and how nourishing it is. However, it leaves a greasy feeling on your skin long after you apply it. It is pretty much impossible to do anything with your hands for a while after applying it. It is awesome for applying to your feet at night and putting on socks. It's super moisture makes rough feet very soft overnight.
