Review for: Breath Of Plum, Coppertone, Melba, Mocha, Blushbaby, Sincere, Other more...
MAC blushes were the first high end makeup purchase I made and I am still in love with them. You really can’t go wrong with their products. I prefer the matte or sheertone blushes and find that they really just melt right into the skin to the point where it doesn’t look like you have a powder product on. They go on smooth and make your cheeks look healthy and naturally flushed. I find them to be extremely blendable. I recommend going in with a light hand and building up intensity as you like. Most of the matte shades are very creamy like in texture, with a few exceptions that seem a bit chalky but they apply beautifully. I currently have seven shades: Mocha (matte - soft dusty pink), Coppertone (matte - muted peach brown), Sincere (sheertone - muted beige/coral), Melba (matte - soft coral peach), Harmony (matte - muted rose beige), Blushbaby (sheertone - beige/pink), and Breath of Plum (sheertone - Light Plum). My favorites are Melba, Sincere and Harmony. The picture attached shows all the shades blended out. I recommend these blushes to everyone!

I know I am probably the minority here but this is not my favorite concealer. I’ve tried a lot of concealers over the years and this was just okay. I will say that I liked it better when I first started using it. I hadn’t tried as many concealers at that point and was younger - not as many fine lines or things I wanted/needed to cover. My skin was also not as dry. As I’ve aged, my skin has lost some moisture and I’ve started to get those pesky fine lines around my eyes. This just doesn’t perform well on me anymore. My undereyes end up look extremely cakey by the end of the day, every line I have is pronounced and it feels/looks heavy. It’s a really creamy concealer and the shade was light was a good shade match for me. I’ve since tried a lot of other concealers that have out performed this product and do it while looking much better. I will say that it is pretty full coverage though - I definitely can conceal any darkness. I think this would be great for someone younger without problematic undereyes. I have kept mine around to use an eyeshadow primer so as not to waste it.

I struggle finding concealers that work for me. I do have dark circles but they aren’t terrible. I also have a few fine lines but nothing extreme. However, my undereyes are very temperamental. They can get very dry and products tend to look cakey or really accentuate my lines no matter what I do. I had heard great things about this concealer so I picked it up. It was difficult finding a shade. Shade 1 is a bit too fair for me. I do like to brighten a little but still look natural. Shade two was a bit too dark and too yellow. I ended up purchasing both of them after I tried it out as it was that good! It doesn’t dry out my undereyes or accentuate any lines! It sits nicely and lasts throughout the day. I find that I don’t have to set it if I don’t want to. Although I would recommend setting so it will last on you. The consistency is pretty thin for a concealer and creamy. It blends effortlessly and doesn’t feel heavy. This has become my go to concealer! It’s not THE fullest coverage, but it provides enough on me to cover what I need it to and looks natural. I do hope that they expand their shade range though as it’s quite costly to purchase two shades to make it work. On the plus side, it should last me a while if I continue to mix them.

Review for Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Lengthening Mascara - 1 week, 5 days ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 4
First, let me start by saying that I love benefit as a brand. Their brow products are my go to products and I recommend them to everyone. So when they launched a mascara, I was dying to get it. Once I finally got my hands on it, I was very underwhelmed. I didn’t particularly care for the formula. I didn’t find it too wet or too dry but it tended to flake off my lashes throughout the day. It also transferred like crazy on me. After all the flaking, you would assume it would be easy to remove right?!?! Not the case. It was quite difficult to remove and I had to go over it a few times with eye makeup remover and I still felt like I didn’t get it all off. I know they came out with remover but I don’t want to have to buy a particular product just to remove my makeup. No thanks. Overall, I have definitely tried worse mascaras but I feel that there are formulas that perform better on my lashes that I can get for a fraction of the price.

Review for: Nude Glow more...
I saw so many YouTubers and people on Instagram using this product under foundation and they looked fabulous so naturally, I had to have it. At $49 a jar, this stuff is NOT cheap and I was expecting to look like a goddess. Needless to say, I did not get the results I was expecting. I tried to apply this under foundation as a base and it left my foundation looking really patchy and feeling very heavy. These are foundations I used all the time and know how they perform so I knew it wasn’t the foundation. I tried going in with less of the glowstarter thinking maybe I applied to much and it was the same result. I finally gave up and figured I could just use this one days when I don’t feel like wearing foundation to give me a little glow. Nope. Wrong again. The product in itself ends up looking pretty patchy and gross after a little while. It starts out looking nice but that doesn’t last long. I gave this a fair shot and tried to make it work - trying it as a base, with different foundations, applying it differently and using it on its own. Sadly, none of this worked for me. I’m not sure who this would work for and I’m curious to know how other people use it or get it to work. I gave it two stars because it does look nice when using it on its own after it is first applied. If only it would last...

Review for: TOM FORD The Ultimate Bronzer Terra 0.74 oz more...
This is a beautiful bronzer! I will admit that I can be a sucker for packaging and have been known to purchase a product or two solely based on the allure of shiny, pretty packaging. I must say that my initial attraction to this product was the size and the luxurious packaging! Tom Ford does not skimp on packaging and you are definitely paying a premium for that. However, I was not disappointed. I purchased the shade Terra. I was a little hesitant that this may be too dark or too red on my skin tone but the lighter shade appeared to have a little sheen to it and I was looking for a matte bronzer. The shade works well for me if I use a light hand and looks really beautiful on the skin. It applies nice and smooth. I have not had any issues with it applying patchy or looking muddy. It plays well with different foundations and I can use it with or without powdering my face first. It lasts through the day and is really just beautiful! I know this product is quite expensive ($112) but you get so much product! This will literally last you forever. And did I mention the packaging is beautiful :-). If you are in the market for a bronzer and don’t mind spending the money for a luxury brand, I would highly recommend!

I’m not sure how to feel about this one. I wish I could give it a 3.5. There were times when I was testing this out, that I liked it and then there were times when I couldn’t wait to wash it off my face. It performed so inconsistently even though I would use the same exact products with it and the same skin prep routine. I tried changing it up to see if I could find a combination that worked all the time and had the same experience. The formula is a thicker formula. I did find that it provides high medium coverage when you go in with a brush and medium coverage when you use a beauty blender. The finish was a demi matte and I didn’t find it too drying. I really liked the finish and the coverage when applied with a beauty blender. I found that when you try to buff it in, it can cling to dry patches and texture and you are left with a less than flawless base. When applied with a beauty blender, you get a nice smooth finish. My problem with this is that it felt heavy on my skin. It didn’t seem to really melt into your skin and just sort of say on top. I also had some trouble with it settling into lines around my mouth (upper lip and chin). It settled in weird places where I don’t really have any lines. I was able to remedy this somewhat by setting my face with a powder. I prefer not to use powder with matte foundations though as I just look flat and dry. I didn’t have any problems blending or applying powder products over top of this, even without using a setting powder. I did have to let it set down though before going in. I did have issues when I tried to blend cream products over top. This disturbed the foundation. It could be the creams I was using but I am able to use them with other foundations without this problem. Overall, I think this may work for someone with more normal skin. I don’t know if it would work for those with oily or dry skin due to my experience. At this time, I would not repurchase.

Review for: N°20 more...
I’m currently testing out this foundation and I must say, I’m not loving it. I really like the Chanel CC cream and Vitalumiere so I thought that I would really enjoy this. From the claims, it sounds like it’s right up my alley. Sadly, this is not the case. I find that this makes my skin look very dry in some areas, particularly around my nose and forehead, and it settles into fine lines. It’s called healthy glow so I was not expecting it to look dry. I have to really prep my skin for this to work and use an illuminating/hydrating primer but it still ends up looking dry after a few hours. The shade is not a great match but it works. No 10 was too light and with No 20, the undertone is slightly off. It’s always difficult finding a shade match with Chanel products - the shade range is not very good and they don’t offer any descriptions of the shades on their website. You have to find a store that carries the products so you can try and shade match. I also find that the shades are NOT the same across the different foundations, which makes it even more difficult to match yourself. With a price tag as high as this, I was expecting more. I will continue testing and playing with it but at this time, I would not repurchase and I would not recommend. If you are wanting to try out Chanel foundations, I would recommend trying their CC cream first (if you can find a shade match).

Review for MAKE UP FOR EVER Water Blend Face & Body Foundation - 2 weeks, 3 days ago

Review for: MAKE UP FOR EVER Water Blend Face & Body Foundation more...
This foundation claims to be a lightweight formula that offers sheer coverage that is buildable and delivers a dewy finish. It is supposed to even out complex and is waterproof and transfer proof. A lot of the reviews and comments I have seen have given this product a lower rating because of coverage. If you read the description of the product, it states that it offers sheer coverage that can be buildable. I was not expecting to get much coverage out of this and I agree that the product does what it claims to do. It is pretty sheer, especially if you go in with a beauty blender. You can get more coverage applying with a brush or your fingers. The consistency is very thin and lightweight so applying with a brush can be a bit streaky. I always go in with a beauty blender after applying to smooth and even everything out. The finish is very natural and it really does look like skin, just more even and dewy. If you have dark spots or acne, you will need to use a concealer to cover. I did find that you can build this up. I was able to easily build this to a high light coverage. If you need more coverage then that, I would stay away from this product. I did not have any issues with this transferring and it dried down nicely on me. I got the shade Y225 and this was a good shade match. If I want more coverage, I will usually mix in my Cover FX custom cover drops. I find that this does not effect the longevity or finish of the product. For those who tried or used the previous Face & Body Foundation by MUFE, this is NOT the same formula. I used the previous formula and did prefer that one to this one so that is something to keep in mind. Overall, I think this is a nice foundation that I keep in my rotation and is more suited for people who don't have much to cover and prefer a light coverage.
