For what this is (an inexpensive sheet mask), it’s great - the holes aren’t cut weird like I’ve found in other cheaper brands, and the ingredient list isn’t full of a lot of additives and waxes. I don’t think it works any magic on my skin but it’s hydrating and refreshing and a nice treat for my face after a long day. There are better masks out there but for the price, these are a great deal.
I was using the “sheer” version of this but found it left my face with a white sheen even after setting spray. The “soft luminance” version is 1000x better though - it has a very very slight sheen (not sparkly) and doesn’t look white at all. A little bit goes a long way, and I can use it to help set my foundation or on its own.
I’ve been looking for a decently priced setting spray for a long time and this is it! The bottle produces a really fine mist and the product really keeps my makeup from moving or rubbing off during the day. Sometimes I put a pretty good amount of it on my face just after foundation/powder and use a blender to kind of press the makeup into my face and keep tiny fine hairs down.
The smell is a little off putting because it’s very similar to hairspray but it does the job!
I have this in the color “beware” (UD Eyeshadow- Beware) and love that it is a neutral brown but slightly on the darker side - I love to use it to give a little dimension between my brow and lid, and then I put a lighter shimmery color on my lid and just beneath my brow.
I love this for its versatility - I use the darker colors to contour my cheeks and the lighter ones as highlighter, but sometimes I just swirl everything together and swipe it on my forehead, cheekbones and nose when I’m feeling lazy. It gives my face a nice glow without being too sparkly.
There are a few things I think could be improved on, though. The texture/consistency of all the colors isn’t the same, so it’s easier for my brush to pick up some of the colors than others (see picture - the bottom right color is really tough). Also I’d love to see this in 4 horizontal strips instead of a 2x2 square, so I can use a fan brush to pick up individual colors more accurately.
Apparently I’m the only person who hasn’t been using this since I was a teenager - why didn’t anyone tell my acne-faced self about it?!?
I have clear skin now but I love love love this mask for a refreshing treat. The mint is pretty strong but the clay really makes my pores feel clean and less noticeably visible.
Like other clay masks, do NOT let this dry completely on your face or you’ll have to scrub it off. Remove with a warm damp washcloth when it’s about 80% dry, and gently wipe instead of rubbing or pulling your skin :)
There is really absolutely nothing to these except dehydrated pieces of lacinato kale. Very very little flavor, but i guess it’s a good option if you’re looking for something crunchy that is healthier than potato chips. Be sure to brush your teeth afterwards, as the little bits get stuck everywhere!
Review for: #750 Heart Breaker, Play With Fire more...
I have tried a lot (and I mean A LOT) of long-wearing lipsticks and this is my overall favorite. The price is right but the colors are great and it really does last all day, which is important to me.
Play with fire is a true red (blue hued), which is my absolute favorite for work or feeling glammed up. It’s a little more obvious when it flakes because it’s so bright/deep but it is truly my favorite red and that says a lot!
Heart Breaker is my favorite for everyday wear. It’s a more natural color and has a bit of a cranberry hue but is less obvious when it does start to wear off.
I’m sure this is a great product for a lot of people, but it’s just not for me. It does a terrible job of getting makeup off - I have to wipe hard with a towel to remove my simple foundation, and I have to use coconut oil to get my (NOT waterproof) mascara off, but then this cleanser can’t remove the mascara. It leaves a strange film on my face, which I guess is the moisturizing part, but I’d much rather have a squeaky clean face and then apply my own moisturizers. My best luck with this so far has been to mix with a dash of Dr. Bronner's 18-in-1 Hemp Lavender Pure - Castile Soap so my face actually feels clean. My favorite all around face soap is Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser.
I love the serum. I bought it on Amazon, and I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by the way it works. It doesn’t really have any smell, and the consistency is kind of like aloe vera. I think it works the best after I use a derma roller, but either way I put it on my face twice a day Just after washing when my skin is a little moist. I am a flight or tonight, so the airplane air is always sucking up any moisture from my skin. But I have really noticed a difference in how much less dry my skin is after using this.
