I usually use The Ordinary Serum Foundation because I only really want light-medium coverage, but I ran out and was at Target anyway so figured I’d give this a shot.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised, considering that this is ~$5. The coverage is definitely buildable to a medium and it stays dewy all day with a primer and setting spray. I love the range of colors and undertones but the application is a mess, a pump would have been a great addition.
I’m pretty weird when it comes to strong smells, especially the fake fruit/flowers, but I love this! It is subtle enough smell good without being overpowering but strong enough to be an actual fragrance not just “baby powder” or “fresh.” This design is easy to travel with and the spray allows you to share with a friend if needed!
I’m a lactose intolerant flight attendant, who works a lot of redeyes and therefore drinks a LOT of coffee. I typically bring my own almond milk but thought these would be a great way to lighten my lunchbox. I like that they don’t have any added sweetener, are lightweight, and don’t make a mess. There’s a strong coconut flavor, and the dehydrated nature of the milk means you need to add quite a bit for any real creaminess, but overall it’s a great idea!
I had acne as a teenager and remember using these then, but have recently introduced them to my (basically problem free) skin as a cheap BHA. I only use them on my face a few times away but it seems to keep the oil at bay without drying out my skin.
Recently, I've started using them on my feet to keep them from stinking after a full day in heels or flats and pantyhose. They're magic!!
I use this a few times a week and it honestly leaves my skin so glowy and smooth! There is definitely a warming sensation at first but it never burns (however the label warns against using on broken or irritated skin, so heed caution). I typically use my actives at night but have never had a problem using this during the day either - I apply to clean dry skin and then allow to dry for 15-30 minutes (its a bit oily so needs to sink in) before apply moisturizer ( CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion ) and SPF.
For less than $10, this is a great setting spray. For me, it works prett much the same as the URBAN DECAY All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray with a much smaller pricetag. HOWEVER, I don't know if it's my skin or my makeup or what, but neither seem to really make my makeup sit still for a long day, even with setting powder and primer.
The actual powder is okay. Nothing special, I feel like it sits on top of my face and looks a little cakey, even after a spritz with setting spray. I usually apply with a big brush but have also tried the little pad that comes with it, and have had the same results with both.
But, the thing that really drives me crazy about this is the packaging. The top is really heavy, and there is no way at all to control the massive amount of powder that comes out and goes everywhere. For $5 the e.l.f. High Definition Powder is light years ahead in packaging.
