Hello! I'm Nevada, and I am a makeup enthusiast. I'm also a working wife and mom that is married to her best friend and loves her little boy to pieces! Add that all together with a degree in mechanical engineering and a career in the defense and aerospace industry, and you've got me--an eclectic lifestyle and personality all in one!
I am a vanilla junky when it comes to fragrances, and this was one body spray I had to have after first smelling it in store. It has a perfect balance of musk and vanilla for a rich, classy scent. Even better: my husband loves it! If you can still find this body spray, I'd highly recommend getting it!

I absolutely love the smell of honeysuckle in the spring; unfortunately, I have severe seasonal allergies, so inhaling deeply is not wise! This perfume gives me that perfect honeysuckle scent throughout the year without consequence. It melds well with my body chemistry, and it lasts a good while on my skin. So happy I snatched this on sale after Christmas! Highly recommend if you enjoy floral scents!
Review for: TEA & COOKIES - MUTED TEA ROSE PINK, Other more...
I have tried this formula in two shades: Tea & Cookies and No Envy. No Envy has turned out to be my perfect neutral shade! These lipsticks are great for an everyday matte lip; however, they are not transfer proof. They are pretty long lasting on the lips if you aren't eating or drinking, but if you are, they will not make it through a meal. I'm okay with that, though, since the price point is there, and the formula is super comfy. My only other comment would be that the applicator is a little clumsy to use in order to get a crisp line. All-in-all, I do like these a lot.
I have this lip gloss in three shades: Streak, Naked, and Midnight Cowboy. It really is such a shame that these are discontinued because they were great for throwing on for a quick shiny pop on your lips. A little sticky and gloopy, but after a few minutes, they left a great feel on your lips.
This was my first NYX lipstick purchase, and it was a good one. Peach Bellini quickly became my favorite shade of all time, and I quite enjoy the formula of the lipstick. It pops against my fair skin (cool undertones), and you really can't beat the price!
Holy crapola! I bought this as a cart filler on Ulta's site, and boy, was it ever a pleasant surprise. The amount of glitter in this little shadow is insane, and it is perfect as a topper. I had tons of payoff without using any glitter primer or glue, so I can only imagine how gorgeous it would be with that added punch! The price is too good for the quality, so if you come across these, give them a try. You won't be disappointed, especially if you're a glitter lover!
I picked this up on a whim at my local Ulta because the shades were so pretty, and it just screamed to me. It was an easy decision to throw it in my basket for the price point, as well. I have always been drawn to marbled shadows, and the marbles half of the duo is what I love most about it! The charcoal shimmer shade is of decent quality, but for me, it's all about that champagne with coppery swirls. SO PRETTY! The quality is typical for Ulta shadows--decent color payoff, not much fallout, requires a little extra blending, etc. All-in-all, if you can still find these beauties, I'd recommend grabbing one!
I got this in a box of makeup goodies from my husband on my birthday (keeper, right?), and upon first glance, this trio is stunning! However, if you don't read the description of the shades on the back of the trio, you will be sorely disappointed in the color payoff, just as I was. After going in for more shadow a half dozen time, including a few times with a MAC Fix+ spritzed brush, I still didn't get good payoff from the one shimmer shade in the trio. I expected the two glitter shades to be, well, glittery, and they were. Even still, they were just straight glitter with no underlying pigmentation that I could only see using as a topper. After I finally flipped the little palette over to read the shade names, I noticed that the shimmer shade did denote a "wash of color" finish, which made a ton more sense. That being said, I still would expect more color from a wash. In the pan, the shades are beautiful, and I am still happy to have them in my collection, but I would certainly advise against running to grab this for good pigmentation at this price point.
I grabbed the Quad Smoke on sale at Sephora for $15. It was a steal, and overall, I am happy with this palette. However, the shades are on the powdery side, and that means I have to take a little extra time to avoid making a complete mess out of my eye look. That being said, they do blend wonderfully, and the shades work well together. The quality is there, and despite the powdery aspect, I would highly suggest picking one of these up while they are still available. This is a great way to test out Kat von D's shadows without breaking the bank!
