I'll be honest. When I saw how expensive this was, I laughed. But I heard a lot of great things so I knew I had to try it out (definitely made my wallet cry). Months later, I love it. It's a staple in my makeup routine and I honestly can't do my makeup without it! It really helps minimize my pores, especially around my nose area. I don't use this on the entire face, mostly just my t-zone, and a little goes a long way. I haven't even hit pan yet! The only con: it traps dust at times because of how the container is. I do find myself scraping some of it off, but I really love it regardless.
The Jane Iredale Triple Luxe lippies are nice, although not perfect. They're more on the sheer side, which offers users a chance to build up the color or tone it down. My particular favorite was Molly, a peachy nude color. It was a bit light on me, but I was able to correct it with a little lip liner! These aren't that long lasting (at least not for eating and drinking) but they are quite moisturizing! So that was a plus. The other colors were pretty as well, but just not my style.
Love love love this powder! It is my go-to for setting my makeup, and I haven’t turned back. I love how it sets my makeup and isn’t completely white, which I appreciate. It helps keep my makeup nice and matte all day, and I LOVE that it’s affordable! Definitely recommend.
I really like this powder! It definitely helps keep my makeup nice and matte, especially in the areas where I get oily. It’s also great for touching up makeup throughout the day. The color match isn’t the best (comes off more pink on my skin tone) but it’s passable.
I LOVE this brush. I had been wanting to get an Artis brush but wanted to save some $$$ and other brushes were just not doing the trick. But this one is great. It’s so densely packed that it blends foundation like a dream, and super quickly. It’s become a solid go-to brush for me, and really helps blend my foundation all over, even around my nose and other tricky spots. You do need to keep it clean (duh), because the one time I didn’t clean it after 2-3 uses, it got a little streaky.
This is a pretty great powder. Typically when I apply powder to my bare face (with primer, of course) the powder clings to my dry patches and makes it obvious that I’m wearing powder, but this one doesn’t do it! It doesn’t offer a ton of coverage but gives my face a nice finish. I have used it on top of powder and on bare skin, and it looks great on both.
I do not like this concealer. If you like light coverage, then you might like it, but I’m a full coverage gal when it comes to concealer and this doesn’t do it for me. I also don’t like the twist up concealers with a brush (Maybelline’s conceal eraser with a sponge is a better option), because it applies very streaky. There are better concealers out there, and for the same, if not cheaper, price.
This by no means is a bad highlight, it’s just not my preferred kind. It’s very soft and goes on bare skin quite nicely to offer up a subtle glow. On top of foundation, it’s not bad, but again very subtle. I’m not a fan of the white iridescent for my skin tone, but it may be better for fairer skin tones.
Holy grail product for sure. Although I do reach for my drugstore versions more often, the LM setting powder was the one that just wowed in terms of keeping my foundation put all day long. I definitely need to buy more for special occasions!
