Hello all! My name is Mollee. I am a recent college graduate and currently enrolled in Graduate School. If my head is not buried deep in a textbook, you can typically find me pillaging Pinterest Boards, mindless scrolling through Facebook or Instagram or posting reviews on here! I have a love for all things beauty, cosmetics being my vice. I'm a mother of two fur babies who are my pride and joy!
First, I really like this formula but boy it’s MATTE! I prefer a slightly dewy or natural finish. I was pretty surprised that it didn’t stick to my dry patches on my checks, but performed beautifully around my oily t-zone. It’s long lasting and stays beautiful all day. I think it would work best for those with oily skin, but some dewy setting spray helps. Now that I’ve tried this one, I really want to try the non-Matte TruBlend formula.
This foundation I just okay. It’s not my favorite, but it’s not the worst I’ve tried either. I wouldn’t say this is full coverage, but the coverage is decent. I’ve tried it with a brush and beauty blender, it just didn’t wow me. I have a combination skin and an oily t-zone and I found that it would break up and bunch up around my oily areas. I’m still going to continue using it, and maybe try it with different primers and setting sprays. Not giving up on it yet considering everyone seems to love this foundation.
First, I like this foundation. It has pretty, medium coverage finish. It’s the perfect everyday foundation in my opinion as far as coverage. I have combination skin but have to use a hydrating primer with this formula. However, it’s downfall is this line has really weird shades. I found it really difficult to find my true shade because I find that the color of the foundation doesn’t reflect the packaging. I relied on the numbers, but after paying closer attention, they arent in numerical order. I chose Creme Brûlée but it’s a lot lighter than the packaging on the outside and the color reflected on Ulta’s website. Also, this only includes .75 fl oz, while most of my other foundations are at least 1 fl oz. I like the idea of the tube packaging for travel but it also very hard to get the foundation after the first few uses.
This mascara was okay. It didn’t wow me but it’s not the worth mascara I’ve tried, but not the best. First, the wand is large and bristle type, which I don’t prefer. Also, it seemed really wet and transferred easily. I find it just made a mess and wasn’t worth the hassle when there are better, cheaper alternatives.
This foundation is gorgeous! I have a super oily t-zone and really dry cheeks and forehead. Finding a foundation in the perfect shade that doesn’t emphasize texture, cling to dry patches, slip and slide all over my face, and looks nice on my nose was next to impossible. I took a chance on this foundation and I’m not sure I will reach for anything else! It’s so beautiful on the skin and is super lightweight. Also, the coverage builds so easily and doesn’t look cakey at all! It is a little pricey for drugstore, but is a little cheaper on Amazon!
These highlighters are so gorgeous! I received this shade in a free drugstore bundle with purchase. This shade is a little dark for me, but I will purchase a lighter shade because they are so pretty and pigmented! These can also be great as eyeshadows as well!
I want to start by saying I love this foundation formula! BUT the shade range is crap. Seven shades? Come on Covergirl! I have been fortunate enough to not have issues with finding a foundation shade but with the Healthy Vitalist the lightest shade (Ivory) is too light but the next shade (Classic Ivory) is too dark but I try to make it work because I love the formula so much. It doesn’t emphasize texture and has worked with a variety of different powders. Beautiful foundation if you can find your shade!
I want to start by saying Scentbird and I haven’t had the greatest start. I joined mid-December and was told my order would ship next day. Well, I never received the order. I contacted customer service and they indicated it had shipped but suggested it was lost in transit. After speaking with customer service, they issued me a new one and sent it out same day. I received the tracking number that afternoon. In the meantime, I canceled my subscription out of frustration. They told me if I reactivated my account, they would send me a free perfume. Because they were so fast and professional, I decided to reactivate my account. I received my perfume this afternoon and love it! It is actually larger the rollerball by .2oz, which retails for $28. You pay $14.95 a month. When everything goes smoothly is a great subscription!
ELF brushes are great for the price! They are so affordable and the quality is not what you expect from a $2-3 brush. The majority of my collection is elf brushes and I would totally recommend them to everyone, no matter your comfort level with makeup!
