Hi! I have a strong passion for learning about all things beauty related! I’ll be posting about make-up, skin/body care, hair and nails, and then just about my extra hobbies. I hope you enjoy reading my posts!
First, I'll start with the packaging which is absolutely gorgeous! It looks so pretty sitting on my vanity. However, I hate that it's in a pot, because it's less sanitary.
For the overall formula it definitely blurs my pores. It's super silky which I don't mind on the drier parts of my face, but for the oily parts it can feel a little heavy. I've noticed that if I use this primer with a creamy foundation, my foundation breaks up in my oily areas. However, using this with a super matte foundation works fine.
I think this will work best for people with normal skin, and with foundations that aren't overly dewy or illuminating. It works with my oily skin in the winter, but not in the summer. However, it's still a good primer and I will continue to use it in the winter!
Review for: Give Me Mocha, Berry Recognize more...
These are great drugstore liquid lipsticks! They dry down completely matte and last just as long as high end liquid lipsticks. I have eaten a variety of meals while wearing these and they last throughout the meal. Since they are liquid lipsticks, they are a bit drying, but about the same as other ones on the market.
One unique aspect is the applicator. It is a doe foot applicator with a carved out design to hug the lip nicely when applying. This is great for the bottom lip, but can be a little tricky on the top lip; especially if your lips are small like mine!
Give Me Mocha is a rich, deep nude perfect for everyday looks!
Berry Recognize is a gorgeous berry (as the name says). I typically wear this on nights out, but since it's summer I've been wearing it during the day as well!
I definitely recommend picking up a few of these. Especially at this price point, it's a steal!
These are great everyday liquid lipsticks! All of the shades are super wearable and even though they are pretty similar, they all look different on the lips. Surprisingly, my favorite shade is Matte Beige which is the perfect nude for me.
I really enjoy the formula of these liquid lipsticks. They are definitely not the most long lasting, they don't last through a meal, but they are SO comfortable. These are the types of liquid lipsticks that dry down to a powder finish and feels like there is nothing on your lips. They are not drying whatsoever and do not settle into any fine lines on your lips. The formula is a bit thin, but it is fully opaque and not patchy. It also takes a couple minutes to fully dry down. You also don't need a lip liner with these!
I really like the doe foot applicator on this! The shape is great for getting a precise application around your lip line. It also holds enough product that I don't have to dip into it more than once. The only thing I don't like is that it feels a little loose and the stopper is tight. So, when I take it out it feels like the doe foot is going to come off.
The one big gripe I have with this is the price. That's why I only gave it 4 stars. Even though $14 isn't crazy expensive, it is for a drugstore liquid lipstick. Especially since it isn't long lasting. However, I still recommend them because of how comfortable and wearable they are!
When I first got this I was turned off by the scent and didn't use it for a while. It smells like a very floral perfume and I don't love it. I kept seeing people rave about it, so I decided to try it again and I love it! This lip oil is super lightweight, but still moisturizing. It's not greasy at all, and feels and looks like a lip gloss.
It wears pretty well. It's not the most long lasting, but as it fades it doesn't leave behind a sticky residue. This works wonders for my lips when they are dry and chapped. I'll just wear this all day and they are good as new. The scent still bothers me a little, but I can kind of smell a honey/vanilla scent now that I've used it more. But I can still smell the flowers.
I'm not the biggest fan of the doe foot applicator, it feels loose and that if I press to hard it'll fall off. However, for how moisturized it makes my lips, it is well worth the $26!
This is really pretty on the eyes and super easy to work with! To apply I just go straight in with the doe foot applicator and work that way. It's best to dab this product on instead of swiping because that tends to move the product around. Once it's on it doesn't budge! This can make blending difficult, but that is true for most products like this. It doesn't crease or crack while wearing. There aren't any chunks of glitter in this, so there's no fallout. Amethyst is super pretty with a pink/purple shift and a great way to amp up any look!
I picked up the scent Lavender and Berries for something relaxing, but these barely made a difference in my shower. I could kind of smell it, but my body wash and hair care scents took over. They also barely lasted a week. They are activated by the shower water, but you're not supposed to put them under a direct stream of water. This can be tough because if they don't get wet they don't work, but if they get too wet they dissolve quickly. I found a good spot in my shower, but they still dissolved quickly. You would probably use all four up in less than a month. Since they are cheap I'd be willing to try the other scents, since it's a really cool concept.
This eyeliner is AMAZING. It is super black and semi-matte, which doesn't bother me. Enough product comes out that all you need is one swipe to create a line. However, it's not too much product that it gets everywhere and is messy. It's also not liquid-y, so it doesn't bleed.
The brush tip is perfect! I normally like felt tip eyeliners more, but this tip is so fine it feels like it's a felt tip. This would be great for winged liner since the tip is thin and saturated so it'd be easy to flick the wing out.
This eyeliner also lasts an incredible amount of time. It doesn't flake or crack and it doesn't transfer to my eyelids. I have oily, hooded eyes so transferring is a major problem for me and an important test of eyeliners.
It is waterproof and does not budge with water! However, it does come off with oil based makeup removers! It really does last 24 hours, I have tested this by falling asleep with my makeup on.
I was super excited when I received this complimentary from Influenster to review because I already love the COOLA Mineral Face SPF 30 Unscented Matte Tint Moisturizer . This product is a sunscreen, but it's more of an oil based one. Since I have oily skin, this can be just a tad greasy on me if I use to much. I wouldn't say this absorbs into the skin right away, but if I use the right amount it doesn't leave my face greasy or sticky. It says it can be mixed in with your moisturizer or foundation. I definitely wouldn't mix this with foundation as it is quite oily and would probably break it up. For me since I have oily skin, I wouldn't use this under foundation either as I can see it breaking my foundation up throughout the day. I mixed it with my moisturizer and it worked well. It was the same result as if I just applied my moisturizer first then this. I have light-medium skin tone and it doesn't leave a white cast on my face. Also, even though it's oily it didn't break me out.
I really like the packaging. It comes in a glass bottle with a dropper. I don't think the dropper is totally necessary, but it makes it fun to use. The glass bottle isn't ideal for traveling, but it looks really pretty on my vanity. I don't love the smell. It has a citrus scent, but it definitely smells like a traditional sunscreen. The two mixed together smells a bit weird for me.
Overall, this is a fun sunscreen to use and if you like this brand then I recommend trying it!
I was so surprised at how well this performs! It gives an equal amount of length and volume to my lashes that is perfect for a day or nighttime look. The brush is pretty big and I prefer plastic bristles, but I was able to make it work. The best part is that it never smudges onto my brow bone. Even if I've been wearing it for 12+ hours. It also doesn't flake off. The one downside is that sometimes too much product comes off, so I wipe it on the inner part of the tube. Yet, whenever I open it a bunch of dried mascara crumbs fall out and get everywhere. It's very strange and I've never had a mascara do that before. For $20 I think it's reasonably priced, for a high-end mascara.
