This sunscreen has a slight blue tinge to it, but worry not it will not turn you blue, instead it will whiten your skintone. I personally did not really like this effect because it will look really obvious if you are any darker than NC20. Luckily it wasn't that drastic on me since I'm pretty fair but it is something to note. It is pretty gentle and it did not break out. It would be great for people with dry skin as it is pretty moisturizing, but not greasy! I probably would not buy this again simply because I would like to move on and I enjoy trying new things, but I did enjoy it and it wasn't terrible despite the bit of white cast.

Review for Dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
This was my first Vitamin C product ever. I was always so scared to try vitamin C's because it seemed so harsh and I lowkey thought it would burn my skin off. However, it is really gentle! I just had to be careful to always wear sunscreen due to the extra sun sensitivity when using products like Vitamin C. Maybe the first few times I felt the slightest tingle, but nothing after that. As for the effect, it's not drastic. After long time use and looking back at old photos, I could tell it did something and lighten my scars a bit, but it is no miracle product. It takes time for this to work. For the price point, I think it is a good Vitamin C product to try out and it would be great for beginners or if you have really sensitive skin!

Review for Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber & Green Tea - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Between this one and the Rose spray, I much prefer this Green Tea one. The biggest gripe I had with the Rose spray was its strong scent and I personally am not a big fan of rose. I think that the rose one was giving me some sort of reaction. This green tea one, however, no problem at all. The only problem I have with this spray is that it doesn't really do anything. It is a nice facial spray, but I don't find that it is really moisturizing my skin and it isn't really a necessary buy for me. I will continue to use the bottle up, but it won't be a repurchase. There's nothing wrong with it really, but nothing amazing.

Review for MAKE UP FOR EVER Super Matte Loose Powder - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
This powder does what it's name claims. It truly is a super matte powder. It kept me shine free all day. However, my biggest issue with this powder is that it is $31 for only 0.35 oz. It is pretty expensive compared to other high end powders such as the Laura Mercier Translucent setting powder, which is $38 for a FULL oz. I would much rather spend my money on the Laura Mercier powder. I bought this twice and honestly felt so stupid after realizing how much I was getting for the price. I gave it four stars only based on how it performed, which was really well, but honestly as a broke college student, I would much rather spend my money on something more worthwhile.

Review for Tweezerman Stardust Slant Tweezer - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
I do not have the Stardust print, but I do own the slant tweezer in a different design. Despite the different designs, all of the Tweezerman slant tweezers seem to perform consistently. I honestly cannot compare it to other brands of tweezers, but this does its job. There are times where I find that I have difficulty gripper the shorter hairs, which can get annoying, but this is honestly good enough for me.

Review for Dear, Klairs - Midnight Blue Calming Cream - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
This cream seemed perfect for me as I had a lot of active acne and sensitive skin at the time of purchase. However, this was just a glorified simple cream. Yes, it did not aggravate my skin or my acne, but that was honestly all it did. I did not see a significant change or much calming effect. And for the ~$24 price point for only 30 ml, it is too expensive for what it does. The CeraVe daily moisturizing lotion did the same for me. If you're looking for simple facial cream and willing to pay the high price, then by all means, go for it, but I personally will not be repurchasing.

Review for Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Review for: Loose Setting Powder - Translucent - Laura Mercier - Powder - Loose Setting Powder - 29g/1oz more...
A high end makeup product that I never regret repurchasing. $38 may seem steep for a powder, however you get a full oz unlike the Makeup Forever HD powder where you only get 0.29 oz for $36. Te LM powder also never gives me flashback and the powder will not cake when I bake. The HD powder will almost alway give me flash back and any spots that had a bit more concentration of powder will clearly show up in flash photography. A little too much LM powder, just add a bit of finishing spray and your problem will be solved. Honestly, the hype is real and I will repurchase this product again and again.

Review for Matte Crème Lip Crayon (Glacé) - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Beautiful pinky mauve color that is great for everyday and professional wear! This doesn't have the dry matte look like a lot of liquid lipsticks give. This is quite creamy and comfortable. Really easy to apply as well with the pencil/crayon design. Would love to own more of Bite Beauty Lip Crayons and other products, however they are quite expensive and I don't know if I love it enough to keep shelling out so much money for a lip product.

Review for Maybelline Superstay Full Coverage Foundation - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Review for: Other more...
Some of you may have notice that I put "other" for the shade I chose and that's because the shade I have was recently part of new release to exclusive to Ulta! Maybelline released 8 new shades to the Superstay Full Coverage Foundation line and I got shade 118 in "Light Beige". I am around a NC20 most of the time, however a miracle happened and I've been getting slightly tanner this summer and I am heading towards a NC25. This shade is the slightest smidgen too light, however with bronzer and the slight oxidation this foundation has, I can definitely make it work. When reading and watching other reviews when this foundation came out, one of the biggest complaint was the horrible oxidation the foundation had.  A lot of people said that this turned orange or like two shades darker, but I did not notice a drastic change after setting and waiting about 20 minutes. However, I have noticed that in person, it can look a bit pink toned on my Asian and more yellow skin tone. But again, I was able to make it work.

As for how the foundation itself worked, I would say the application was a high medium to full coverage with one layer. I considered it high medium because I have a lot of dark acne scars that are really hard to cover up. On anyone with relatively nice skin without much to cover, one layer would be more than enough. It would take about 2-3 layers over my stubborn and dark spots to fully cover what I want to cover, but I usually just stick to at most 2 layers to avoid any caking. I would do one layer all over and another layer where I need more coverage. I only ever do my foundation with a sponge and this could be the reason why I wasn't able to get a full, full coverage right off the bat with one layer. However, I am very happy with the coverage with a sponge and it spread and blended beautifully. There was no difficulty applying the foundation at all.

Wearing the foundation itself throughout the day was quite the dream. After hearing about how full coverage it was, I was afraid of how heavy it would feel, but the foundation was incredibly light weight and it didn't feel like a mask on my face.

One of reason I took a star off was because of its lasting power. I found myself quite oily all over within about 3-4 hours. This wasn't the biggest deal, I only needed to blot and reapply some powder and was good to go. There was also the slightest bit of transfer. Another reason a star was taken off was that it wasn't the most natural finish. This is definitely a foundation that says "Yes, hi! I am wearing foundation." It is also not the kindest foundation to dry and extremely porous parts of the face either.

Overall, I found myself enjoying this foundation quite a bit! I've been interested in trying this out the minute it was released, but I was so wary of the shade choices. But I was super happy that Maybelline released new shade (although it is only exclusive to Ulta, which can be inconvenient for some people). Believe the hype people! It's real! I think that this would work best on people who really want that full coverage and us oily gals if you're willing to blot. If you are more normal/dry, really pack on that moisturizer and prep your skin well!
