I received the new Almay One Coat Mega Volume Mascara which features a megaphone brush for maximum coverage in one coat. I liked the pink and white packaging which was cute, but found the tube to be a little too thick and too long for my liking (taking up extra space in my cosmetics pouch). The wand features a flared brush which is great for coating one eyelash, but unless you're ambidextrous and switch hands to coat the other eyelash, the other eye looks not as evenly coated. It also took me a few coats in order to get the mascara to show up on my eyelashes, which doesn't quite live up to its name. I received this complimentary product from Influenster for testing purposes.
I received the Kat Von D "Sinner" and "Saint" perfumes from Influenster for testing purposes. At first sniff, I was drawn towards the "Sinner" fragrance -- it's a has a sultry allure, something I would wear on a date night with my hubby. The scent lasts quite long (most of the day for me) and is a little more on the muskier side, whereas its counterpart fragrance "Saint" was more sweet and floral smelling, more girly. "Saint" is flirty, feminine, something I would wear during the summer in the daytime. The two scents have similar floral notes so when blended together, it becomes a unique and incredible scent. The scents are quite pleasant and a little goes a long way. The bottles are very pretty as well. A very unique presentation and creative product from Kat von D!

I pick up these cleaning sponges at Costco in a large pack when they're on sale so it's quite a good deal. I use these on a daily basis when I wash my dishes and they hold up quite well. One of these sponges can last me at least a month or so before the sponge breaks down and I need to replace it. The scour holds up for quite some time before it loses its effectiveness, which is a lot more than other sponges I have used where I scour a pot and it breaks down. Definitely repurchase.
I found Seventh Generation dish liquid at my local Whole Foods store and was disappointed in how ineffective it was at getting out grease and grime compared to other natural detergents. I found I went through the bottle pretty quick and it was quite expensive. The scent was great though. Not worth repurchasing.
I recently purchased the Method All-Purpose Natural Surface cleaner at Costco and the pink grapefruit smell is very pleasant Not too overpowering. I like that there are no chemicals in this and that it is safe to use around the house. The bottle is designed well and very ergonomic. It does a fantastic job of cleaning the toilet and bathtub, and leaves a nice scent, unlike chemical cleaners. It is a little bit on the expensive side, but I strive to keep my home chemical-free. I would definitely repurchase this.
I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Toronto and had a very pleasant stay with them. The rooms were spacious, clean, and the guest service was great. The decor is very modern and sleek with clean lines. I enjoyed the complementary wi-fi, and their adjustable beds. I stayed for 2 nights and check-in and check-out was easy. Situated downtown, it's within walking distance to all the amenities, and close to the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission). I was satisfied with my stay and would highly recommend it if you're looking for a good solid hotel that isn't too expensive and is situated in a central part of Toronto's downtown.
I recently flew with Air Canada from Vancouver to Ottawa with my family and the service was alright. I was traveling with two small children under 5 and they're more business-based, so they pre-board their Star Alliance and business class travelers first before they pre-board families with children or people who need extra assistance. When on board, the stewardess did come by to ask us if we needed help with anything and gave us the run-down of how to have my baby sit while taking off and landing. All in all, a decent experience -- the pilot got us to our destination safely, but nothing extraordinary in terms of service.
Gap Dream was my first actual perfume and is a light floral scent. I have repurchased this scent, very easy to wear and is pleasant when it comes to working with my body's chemistry. I bought it in store at the Gap. The bottle design is round and holds nicely in the hand. Everytime I smell this scent, I'm brought back to my younger years when I first bought it. A classic and light, youthful scent. I would recommend it if you like jasmine and orange floral notes.
