My skin type is dry, sensitive, and acne prone. My hair is damaged with a dry scalp and I have very sparse eyebrows. I'm on a quest to find the perfect products to treat these issues and to compliment my makeup regime. I try to give the most honest reviews I can and I love trying new products.
From someone who has had acne prone skin her whole life, this product really is a game changer. Despite its price tag, this stuff works. Not only does it help clear up back/chest/body acne, it also helps with my Keratosis Pilaris--which is almost non existent now. It takes steady use, and make sure you hydrate after using (especially if you live somewhere dry). But Murad has found another loyal customer with this one.
These are super nice on sensitive skin but they're definitely not as heavily removing as I wanted. The wipes are a little dry and while they do smell and feel amazing, I usually use coconut oil or something to break up the makeup on my face first and then use these to wipe it all off. It works like a charm when used that way though so for that, 4 stars. I do pack on quite a bit of foundation so that might be part of why lol
I adore this cleanser. I have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin and it's always hard for me to find a cleanser that works for me. But do not be fooled by the "foaming", it is not drying! It's a CREAM foaming cleanser so it's actually very hydrating. It's light, refreshing, but still feels like it's getting my face clean. I like to use it with a konjac sponge from Boscia to really get clean. It's not too great at removing makeup if you wear as much as I do but it's not irritating and can be used to take off light eye makeup. I obviously recommend using a makeup remover BEFORE this (if wearing makeup) and an exfoliator AFTER (not necessarily every day but) because it needs skin with no makeup on to clean and it's not exfoliating at all. It also smells AMAZING. This brand is very natural and has very good quality ingredients so this is actually a steal for how much cleanser you get. This is simple, effective, and a staple for me.
Don't get me wrong, this is an amazing highlight. I didn't understand the hype at first because it just looks white to me but once applied it turns into an iridescent gold kind of ?? It's hard to explain but swatch this before saying no to it because the iridescent gold is absolutely stunning. But while this products does last a while if set with something, on its own it still doesn't last as long as BECCA highlights. And it's not as blendable as BECCA, but still more blendable than most brands. Also it's very pigmented so a little will go a long way. The color is unique to NARS but it also is less glowy and slightly more sparkly than BECCA which isn't ideal for me in a highlight. So this is a beautiful highlight that I do recommend but only 4 stars because it's not as good as BECCA.
BECCA is the holy grail of highlights. They came out with theirs before anyone else and the formula for it is unmatched. I went swimming and dunked my head underwater over and over again and this highlight DID. NOT. BUDGE. I stayed glowing all night. And I mean glowing, not sparkling some highlights. This isn't just straight glitter, this is gonna make you glow from within. Plus they have plenty of shades for every skin color. I've noticed champagne pop works on a large range of people but all their shades are gorgeous. This is a must have product.
I have this in Laguna and I absolutely love it. I have lots of redness in my face already so I like a more cool toned contour/bronzer and this is perfect for it. It's very pigmented so be careful when applying but it's also very blendable and stays on alllllll day. It doesn't make me look dry like some powders do (I have dry skin) plus it comes with a lighter powder too that I use to clean up my contour if it's not as sharp as I want it. I've had it for a while now and I haven't hit pan so I think this will last you a while. I would definitely recommend this if you can find a shade that works for you. :)
I have this in copacobana and the color is so gorgeous but it's so hard to apply over foundation?? Without fail, no matter how long I wait after applying/setting my foundation, this always smears it. I don't know what to do! I've used this on my eyes and it's pretty decent, very creamy and a beautiful shimmery color. But I wanted to use this as a highlight and I'm not sure how to without messing up my foundation. So this is 3 stars because it may be beautiful, but I can't actually use this :(
This is a very good blush combo. I know some people think the colors wouldn't work for their skin because they do seem very out there but it looks different on each skin tone and they're VERY blendable. They're also going to last you a long time because you hardly need any. I'm personally very pale so it's hard to tell how this would look on darker skin tones but they have a lot of options to choose from that I haven't tried so checking them out couldn't hurt. For mine, one is a mostly matte coral and the other is a shimmery gold. The shimmery gold I've used as an eyeshadow before even, it's gorgeous. However it's too dark to use as a highlight and applying it over the blush would be too much for the highlighter I already use. So these are very good quality but I can't give it 4 stars bc I feel like I can't utilize the gold hardly and the coral isn't completely matte which I wanted. Regardless, a very solid brand and solid blush with a wide range of colors.
I am so obsessed with these. All the shades are named after stars first of all which is adorable. Secondly, the packaging is SO handy. They're tiny enough to travel with & they snap close with a magnet so they don't spill plus each one comes with a little mini mirror inside! Many of the shades are very unique but still versatile enough to use in everyday looks. There are some more bold shades as well, an iridescent one I'm in love with, and a combination of colors and neutrals so everyone could find one they liked. They're decently blendable, very long lasting, I haven't noticed creasing but I haven't necessarily been looking. I love how versatile they are but still unique, convenient, creamy, and from such a great brand. These are one of my all time favs.
This is medium coverage but buildable so I was able to get the coverage I wanted but it was also very drying and throughout the day my skin began to look cakey. Keep in mind I have dry skin, but I hydrate a lot and I always used moisturizer before and it still caked up. I was so surprised because I LOVE the NARS concealer but this isn't as amazing as I need it to be for the price. The applicator for this is also really weird and awkward and the lid is hard to keep on. It's blendable and still good quality so I'm giving it 4 stars but with looking dry/cakey and the awkward applicator, I can't give it 5.
