Review for Smashbox Spotlight Palette - 4 days, 7 hours ago
I really enjoy both Casey and Smashbox so I was hoping to love these palettes, unfortunately that's not the case. First of all I will say the pancaking is very pretty and appealing. Also, Casey is one of the few Youtubers at this point in the game that has remained down to earth and likable. There's no diva vibe coming from her, so seeing her get a big collab like this made me very happy for her. The products themselves are very 'meh' to me. I went in with lower expectations I'm not gonna lie. Smashbox is not known for making highlighters, so that in itself had me a little concerned. Now I am a girl who likes a major POP with highlighters, if I am buying a high end product I want to be able to really see the results. I found the pigmentation in these very faint in comparison to other collabs and highlighters. They give off a subtle glow but that's it. There's definitely no 'wow' moment  with this formula. I also found them pretty chalky/powdery for a highlighter. It pains me to say that because again, I like both the brand and Casey so much, but these are a pass for me.

Review for tarte Fake Awake Eyeliner 0.007 oz/ 0.21 mL - 1 week, 2 days ago
I had heard about this product for years and finally decided to try it out. I am pretty loyal to my black liners, but I needed one for when I need to open up the eyes a little more. I love a lot of Tarte's products so I had high hopes for this. The packaging is very cute, in true Tarte fashion. It has little gold stars on it that adds a fun touch. The formula itself was just okay for me. I had issues getting it to really pay off color-wise in my waterline, and once I did I only noticed a faint difference. I haven't used it on any clients yet, so here's hoping it works better on them than it did me.

Long, Curled
This is one of those products that I kept hearing about and just had to try. I tend to contour more than bronze but sometimes I like to do a little of both. This product is actually great for either, as it has a matte finish with no hint of shimmer. First of all the smell is delicious (to me anyway) it smells like a warm, tropical sunny day. The packaging is very fun and has an island vibe/theme. This comes in 2 shades, I am light/medium and the darker shade was perfect for me. It was much more of a medium shade than a dark one. This goes on smoothly and is buildable and easy to blend. For the price and results I would say this is a must-have for anyone who loves to warm up their complexion.

Review for OFRA Cosmetics Rodeo Drive Highlighter - 1 week, 2 days ago
I am going to be honest and say not many highlighters actually impress me. I like a blinding glow, I don't wear highlighter to be subtle, I need the pop! After several disappointments  in a row of total overpriced duds I decided to give Ofra's a try. Of course the brand has been highly hyped by Nikkie Tutorials, and figured if her cheeks are any indication of what this product can do then I'm all in. I actually used this for the first time on a client and the whole room gasped after one swipe. This formula really packs a punch. Stunning golden highlight, that gives you that heavenly burst of shimmer. It is also decently priced at $29. The packaging is rather cheap, but don't be put off by that. This shade and brand have really blown me away with this one.

Review for Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment - 1 week, 2 days ago
Like most people I held off purchasing this because of it's hefty price tag, but after reading all the amazing things it does to the skin I finally caved. I would love to say it was worth the money, but for me I don't get what all the hype is over. I have been using it for about a month now and can see no changes in my skin whatsoever. I was hoping my fine lines and large pores would at least have showed a little change, but nodda. Maybe this is more targeted for people with acne (which I don't have) because it really doesn't effect my skin at all. Like others have said it does sting a bit when applied, and has (what I consider) an of putting lemongrass odor. It also leaves your skin very sticky after application, but once it dries down it feels very smooth and silky. That is the one plus I can say about this. I am giving it 2 stars because I do love the packaging. It looks just as expensive as it is. While I have been disappointed in this product, I am not through with Sunday Riley just yet. Next I think I will move on to the oils and try my luck there.

Review for Carli Bybel 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette - 2 weeks, 2 days ago
This was my first BH purchase and I admittedly bought it due to Carli Bybel's affiliation. My Ulta was sold out of the palette but there was a display one still left out. I swatched a few shades and was pretty impressed for the price. So I went home and ordered it. When it arrived I immediately wanted to do more thorough swatches. I was very pleasantly surprised  by the darker shades which are highly pigmented, with a pretty color payoff and easy blendability. All the shades are extremely smooth and buttery, but I had issues with the lighter ones. I found a few of them to be chunky with a lot of kick-back. They also need to be layered to really see the color. The highlighters are all pretty with a nice sheen, the darker ones actually make for lovely eyeshadows. I usually don't buy the more affordable palettes like this, but I must say I have been pretty impressed with this one. My biggest quarrel would probably be that there's too many shimmery pastels for my taste, as I prefer warmer tones. But if you are looking for a good multi-functional palette on a budget, this one will be right up your alley.

Review for Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits - 3 weeks ago
I have a love/hate relationship with the ABH glow kits. While some shades certainly deliver that blinding glow, others fall flat. But for the price, packaging, and color variety they're hard to pass up. My biggest issues have been the palettes arriving broken (numerous times) and the amount of kickback they produce. I usually prefer their singles when going for a highlighter.

Review for Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow - 3 weeks, 2 days ago
I never cared much for brow gels before this product. I didn't find them to be so effective that I needed to include them in my daily routine. After using this product, there's no going back. This gel not only keeps your brows and products in place, it lasts all day long. It has serious staying power. I do wish that the formula didn't dry so stiff, but since the results are so good, I have come to overlook it.

Review for Sonia Kashuk Brow Gel - 3 weeks, 2 days ago
I ran in Ulta to grab a tube of my beloved Anastasia brow gel, but they were out. So I headed over to Target and this one seemed like it might be a good dupe. Wrong. I am so disappointed in this product. Not only does it not keep my brows in place, my brow products seemed to smear every time I wore this on top. If you want a great brow gel, save your money on this and go for the ABH, it can't be beat.

Review for L.A. Girl Just Blushing Powder - 3 weeks, 2 days ago
I usually stick to Nars and high-end brands for my blush, but I saw a youtuber raving about this one -and for under $10 I thought it was worth a try. Boy am I glad I did. This product has blown me away. First of all, I love how it is packaged. In a long bar shape that really allows you to dip your brush in. There is very little to no fall-out and offers rich pigmentation. It blends like a dream and gives your cheeks the perfect hint of warmth and color. I loved it so much I plan on purchasing other colors very soon.
