As a freelance makeup artist finding  great sponges and brushes you love is a must. I know the Beauty Blender is a staple piece, but so is this little gem. The shape and texture are perfect for applying concealer. The scoop design fits right under the eye for easy blending, and is even great for powder baking. I never do makeup on myself or anyone else without this sponge in tow. I always make sure I have multiples on hand.

Review for Hourglass GIRL Lip Stylo - 1 week ago
First of all let me say, I never buy lip crayons or anything that resembles them. But I just loved the look of these, and the swatches were beautiful. I also appreciate a company that makes a large variety of beautiful nude shades. The packaging is exquisite. It has a very expensive look to it, right down to the tip of the lipstick. I wasn't sure how these would go on and wear, but I am very pleasantly surprised. I expected them to feel heavy but they don't at all. They glide on easily, feel super creamy, and last for hours. I only have purchased the one so far, but I will definitely be adding more to my collection soon.

After hearing/seeing so many rave reviews about this foundation, I finally caved and bought it. I am not a big fan of stick foundations, but with so much hype I had to see what the fuss was all about . After trying it, I am still wondering. I personally would in no way call this 'full coverage'. It goes on very sheer and has to built up. Even after that it did cover up my redness, and instantly separated on my skin. I used a primer and tried it with both a brush and a beauty blender, and liked neither. Within the first hour it had gotten cakey and gathered around my nose. This is the kind of product that proves, every skin type is different. Because even though the majority seem to like this, I hated it. The packaging is nice, but for the price there isn't a lot of product. I really like Hourglass but this is a huge pass for me.

Review for Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - 2 weeks, 1 day ago
I know this mascara is a holy grail for a lot of people, but I have tried it several times now and I just don't get the hype. The brush is too full fr my liking, with the product lathered on it is a recipe for clump city. My lashes felt spidery, heavy, and very sticky, It also didn't wear well for me. After a few hours I noticed quite a bit of flaking. It dries out very badly and leaves those annoying little black flakes all under your eyes. Too Faced eye products are never my favorite, and this falls under that category. I will say, like with most Too Faced products, the design is very girly and cute. But I will be sticking to my trusted Benefit Roller Lash.

As much as I love Chanel as a fashion house, their beauty products usually leave me very underwhelmed. I saw this in a celebrity makeup tutorial and really loved the shade used (Super Nude) and decided to buy it. First of all I am not sure why this is called a gloss. The formula is thick like a melted down lipstick. It wears very heavy on the lips and for the shade I bought to be called 'Super Nude' it was anything but. It reads far more deep peach on my lips. The packaging is visually pleasing. The usual sleek Chanel black with gold accents. But I don't like that you can't see the product. Therefore if you have multiples you are always going to have to read the name to know which one it is. You also cannot tell when you're getting low, which is another peeve of mine. I will say, this lasted for a few hours but I would not be interested in repurchasing.

Review for BECCA Luminous Blush - 3 weeks, 1 day ago
I'm not a huge blush girl, but this Becca product has become a staple in my daily beauty routine. I had heard rave reviews about the shade 'Wild Honey' but it looked so dark in the pan that I was worried (having light skin) that it might be too overpowering. I took a chance and ordered it anyway and now I can hardly use anything else. This color looks so beautiful on so many different skin tones, feels light on the face, and adds the perfect flush of color. My only issue which I have had with many Becca compacts is, it breaks very easily. I didn't even drop mine and it still managed to crack on one side. But other than that this is an A+ on the blush scale.

Maybelline is easily my favorite drugstore lipstick and recently they have came out with so many new nude shades I can barely keep up. When I say this shade and read it was a matte formula I knew I had to try it. So I ran out and picked one up. This color, first of all, is a beautiful TRUE nude. So many nudes end up reading too brown or peach on me, but this one is that perfect mix of pink/beige that I love. It was long wearing, comfortable on the lips, and had that signature yummy Maybelline scent. The best part-it was only $6! You simply cannot beat that. So if you are looking for an affordable perfect nude, look no further.

Review for Yes to Tomatoes Paper Mask, Single Pack, Charcoal, 1 ea - 3 weeks, 5 days ago
I have become someone who loves a good mask, so I am trying all kinds from drugstore to high end. I was so disappointed in this one, that I couldn't wait to get it off my face. i have sensitive skin, but I have never had an issue with masks irritating me. But this one, ouch! I know a side effect of charcoal products can be tingling, but this was a full on burn. Especially under my eyes. I usually like to leave a mask like this on a bit longer than 10 minutes, but there was no way that was going to happen here. I also found the fit was poor, it was way too big for me. After all of that I didn't even like how my skin felt. The mask left a glue like sticky residue and my pores looked no different. I know this is a cheaper mask, but I expected a little more than the feeling of my skin burning off.

I ended up getting the New Ombre shade in these, which is a warm rose-brown tone on me. It works great with the nude lipsticks in this collection. I found the other one just way too peachy for my skintone. They stay true to MAC's usual lip pencils. and formula They are very easy to blend and apply, and also have great longevity. The best part, is their pretty glitter packaging which makes them standout from other pencils in any collection.

Review for MAC Cosmetics X Mariah Carey Eyeshadow x 4 - 1 month ago
The eye quads were easily my least favorite thing from this collection. I use to think MAC shadows could never be topped, but once you start using other brands you really can see a quality difference. MAC's shadows nowadays tend to be on the dry side, which makes them harder to blend. Also, the pigmentation is little to none, especially on these shades. The idea is a pretty one, and very Mariah I just wish they had worked on a new formula to really elevate these shadows. The saving grace is of course the lovely packaging.
