Review for Revlon Mega Multiplier™ Mascara - 5 days, 21 hours ago

Review for: Blackest Black
I've been using the Revlon Mega Multiplier for almost a month now and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. I have fine, short-to-mid length lashes, and while they aren't super sparse, there aren't too many of them. The multiplier definitely makes it look like I have more pages in there, and is a good buildable formula to coat your lashes and last all day. It's not insanely voluminous which is good for me because those mascaras end up looking crazy on me. The wand is conical which makes it easy to get those finer lashes, and it's not too wet, so it doesn't smudge or run off easily. The tube is really easy to hold and locks in place to make sure I don't leave the cap sightly unscrewed and let it dry out. True story.

Review for: N/A
I was hunting after this palette for MONTHS after the initial release. I'm partial to warm pink tones but this red ochre? The raw sienna? The umber? This palette had formulations of classic colours that looked unlike anything I've seen in one palette before! Everybody was initially freaking out over that gorgeous red hues, but it's more than that. This palette can do a solid neutral, a desert sunset-esque smokey eye, and edgy runway looks. All in one palette. The shadows themselves are buttery soft, almost a bit too soft, but they go on very well. I find there's a lot of dust on my palette but I don't see a lot of fallout on my face. It has a nice sticking power. Also the brush that comes with the kit is actually very useful and I always like a full=sized palette that lets you keep a brush stowed away for your more daily looks. I usually use this brush for my go-to neutral base and my go-to dark smoky edge. The palette itself is also lovely. The velvet is a nice touch, the size is good, and the magnetic snap actually helps keep the palette closed in place. I generally like to keep it inside its paper box to keep eyeshadow dust from falling out, but that's my finicky-ness.

Review for Orville Redenbacher's® Caramel White Cheddar Popcorn - 6 months, 1 week ago
I was glad to try the new White Cheddar and Caramel popcorn as I'm a huuuuge fan of Chicago mix in general, but I think this mix might be too mild for me. I prefer a really strong cheddar flavour in my Chicago mix popcorn. My boyfriend liked it well enough though and polished off our bag verrrrry easily!
Also I found the amount of product in this bag was very low compared to other popcorn brands, if I was going to bring this to a party is need two bags because this was barely enough to fit in a small bowl.

I received this product free/complimentary for testing purposes but all opinions are my own.

Review for LUSH Cosmetics Mistletoe Bath Bomb - 7 months ago
Who says that you need a partner to enjoy mistletoe? ;) When I went in the store recently I asked one of the Lushies which of the Christmas bombs was their favourite, she IMMEDIATELY led me to Mistletoe and said that the jasmine scented bath was HEAVEN and it left a gorgeous purple hue in the shower. I was sold. I took it home and used it that night. It fizzed beautifully and soon my entire bathroom smelled like jasmine and ylang ylang. The only reason this bomb gets 4 stars instead of 5 was that it's not as moisturizing as some of the other ones I've used. But it was heavenly all the same.

Review for: Neon Orange
Mac Dark Night is an amazing creamsheen lipstick for anyone who wants to go dark but doesn't want her black lips. I use this to add sparkle to a dark purple or burgundy matte lipstick or on it's own, just multilayered.

Review for L'Oréal Paris Fibralogy Shampoo and Conditioner - 2 years, 2 months ago

Oh, the elusive search for volume. As a girl with thin, long hair, but a LOT of it per cubic inch, I'm always on the hunt for something to strengthen my locks. The Fibralogy line has a lot working for it - it boosts volume and shine, it definitely coated my locks and made them look healthier. But unfortunately that kind of coverage has a dark side. My first three washes were fine, but by my fourth and fifth I found my hair was getting VERY greasy two days in, when usually I wash my hair every three days. It got to the point that my hair was keeping so much residue from the shampoo/conditioner I needed to use a clarifying shampoo to reset it. Currently I'm doing three washes on, one wash off and it's still working well, but it does require a precise system. I was also interested in the 'no more hair clumps' claim, but unfortunately my hair still continues to come out in the shower as often as it did before. No MORE but no less.
- I received these products from Influenster for free but the comments are my own.

Review for NEST Dahlia & Vines Rollerball 0.27 oz Eau de Parfum Rollerball - 2 years, 4 months ago

During my recent olfactory explorations, I've discovered that while I may not be a fan of actual roses, I do so LOVE the scent of roses in my perfume. Dahlia & Vines was a pleasant surprise for me because it had the key notes of rose with a little bit of peony thrown in. It's a delightfully fresh scent that is perfect for spring (if that ever comes). I find that it doesn't last all day long so it's great for that fresh morning spritz to get you going, but may not be the product you choose if you want to wow from day to night. That said, the rollerball is PERFECT to drop in your purse for pick-me-ups during the day, so a little re-application can't hurt. I also find that I prefer rollerballs because I prefer a concentrated drop on parts of my body, rather than a general spray.

Now as much as I love Dahlia & Vines by Nest Fragrances, Indigo is the true winner here. It's a complex aroma that I could easily see making the short-list for my signature scent (that is, if I wasn't so promiscuous with my perfumes!) It's woodsy and sweet, with a bit of bergamot and fig, and a lingering edge of spice which, according to the scent notes is cardamom! This one can last through the entire day and definitely lingers slightly when you leave a room. Not enough to be obnoxious, but enough for a little head whip.
Review for Origins Plantscription(TM) Youth-Renewing Face Oil - 2 years, 4 months ago
Ohhhh, face oils. I have a love-hate relationship with these things. I've made my own with essential oils and bases like apricot kernal oil and jojoba, and as pricey as those are, I always cringe when I see the prices of face oils that skincare companies sell them for. THAT SAID, this Plantscription Face Oil isn't bad. Whether it's 'Youth-renewing' or not, I'll never know (I don't believe any of that stuff) but it really does the trick smoothing and softening the skin, especially in this awful dry cold. My only complaint is that it smells heavily of argan oil, so much so that I can't detect the other aromas in this mix. I personally wouldn't buy it on it's own, but I'd recommend getting a small sample if you're partial to it.

Review for Origins GinZing™ Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff - 2 years, 4 months ago

As a lifelong sufferer of PES (Puffy Eye Syndrome) I'm always on the hunt for my Holy Grail depuffing cream. A friend of mine swears by this product so I was most looking forward to trying this little gem, but unfortunately that excitement was short-lived. GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream is a nice addition to a morning beauty routine, I find myself putting it on after cleaning my face and before putting on any make-up, but it's not a miracle worker, at least not for me.
