This group of animals works well for prepositions (over, behind, before, etc), it works for color recognition, categories, and more. Have fun with it!
Mini dolls are great. For boys you can get some dude dolls! I like the ones with accessories because they allow you to incorporate more imagination. Verb are great with dolls (walk-walk-walk) and the kids can emulate real life with pretend play and dolls.
Also great for category separation (colors, fruits, vegetables, textures), you can pretend play using verbs (cook, peel, chop) to learn new words, prepositions and more!
Books can add variety and are easily interchangeable. Throw in a book or two and after you have read it several times, looked at pictures, talked about pictures, and you think you've done everything, hand it over to the child and let them "read" to you. Working on sequence and detail, the child will need to recall events and retell you the story!
This is a great one for boys or girls. We used these to play parking lot. You can use prepositions like behind, in front of, next to, and colors as well to buy/trade vehicles with one another. Then you park them on your lot in whatever order you prefer. You can drive them around to certain rooms or objects in the house to include more nouns, pronouns, verbs and more!
