A teacher turned stay at home mom turned CFO trying to decide what my next big adventure will be. I have developed a new addiction to make up and skin care and love trying new things much to the detriment of our bank account. Recently located to the Oregon coast where I am getting to know the outdoor side of myself. The best things in life are truly free.
I find that Swarovski pieces shine brighter than my real diamonds. I have several pieces that have lasted over the years. Unlike a few items I have from Tiffany they have not tarnished and don't show their wear. My only issue recently was the size of some of the pieces as they all felt a little to overdone. This could just be due to my preference for smaller pieces though. Strange as it sounds, I enjoy Swarovski more than actual gems. Plus they are much more affordable.
Though these probably are the worst for my feet I wear them constantly. I have colors to match almost any outfit and buy new ones often. They are flat leaving my feet sore after a long day but do not hurt while on. Though I have a lot of other shoes my Cons are my favorite.
I have found a renewed love for B&BW. For a while I strayed because I was unimpresses with their body stuff. I recently discovered all of the home stuff and am really impressed. I have been using the soaps, candles and scented room plug ins and my home has never smelled better. The scents are fresh and do not overpower a room. I did just pick up a few lotions as well and though the scents still fade quickly the formulas seem to hydrate better than I remember. My favorites for body right now are Cucumber Melon and Beautiful Day. My favorite candle/room scents are Bergamont Waters, Turquoise Waters, Amsterdam and New York Beautiful Day. I also tried the car version but feel it isn't performing as well.
This is one of the better beauty subscriptions out there in regards to product quality and quantity for the price. I have had this for almost a year and it survived my recent subscription clean out. I had like 5 or 6 going and kept only the ones I felt were providing the most useful items. I do wish they provided some more name brand items but am happy overall with what I have received.
I too bought into the hype and was not as impressed. It seems to crease worse than both my other concealers from IT and Maybelline which kind of stinks for the price. It does feel nice going on hence my 3 star gift but, I just don't see the finish and wear as better than my other products. I would advise to try if you want but you can save a lot and buy the Master Conceal by Maybelline which lasts longer and in my opinion covers better.
I got a small bottle of this to try and loved it so much I bought 2 full sized right away. I love the smell and the refreshing feeling it leaves my face with. I use this as a prep every day prior to make up and will use it at times in the day when things feel too tight or dry. I even use it when I don't wear make up because it feels so nice. On days where I feel a little cakey I can spray this and it just kind of "flattens" everything. Especially if you get heavy handed with the powder foundations but do not want to start over. I am hugely guilty of product ADD but this is one item I use everyday and will always have as long as they leave the formula alone.
Oh. My. Gosh. I have tried too many foundations since January. The Estee Lauder Double Wear is my 3rd favorite foundation at this time but it is ny go to for those days when my face is under hormonal attack and I need fuller coverage with lasting finish. I purchased Ecru after being matched on an online foundation matrix which used colirs I already owned and knew matched. The color was a perfect match. After about 5 hours it does settle into some of my deeper lines but that is almost always an issue as you get older and have made some of the same facial expressions too often for your alloted elasticity. One reason it has moved to 3rd in my line up is I have found 2 foundations with matching longevity but less oil throughout the day. For some reason this one can have me blotting up to 3 times in a day. Since I do have an oily t-zone I don't hold SOME oil against a product since it is topical and cannot alter chemistry. The oil issue with this foundation wasn't awful and I would have overlooked it if I had not discovered the Lancome Tient Idol and the Dior Perfect Wear recently. I have an application routine which I use with every brand that includes primer, finishing powder and sprays but apply this with a flat top brush paired with my blending sponge since that seems to create the best finish for me (start with brush then go over with sponge to press in). If you need a full coverage foundation which has long, quality wear this should be at the top of a short list.
**I am actually wearing this foundation in my Influenster profile picture.
I have been using this almost exclusively lately which is huge for me and my bad case of foundation ADD. I apply with a damp beauty blender because though I have tried a brush I seem to get the best outcome from the sponge. The finish is very light with great coverage. I have gone without concealer a few times because it is that good. I do set this with powder and use primer in between 2 different priming and 2 different finishing sprays but that is just my technique and would not be required to get the wear longevity or awesome finish. It wears nicely all day and even when it wears off it does it in a natural manner so only I can tell up close. I am not sure about 24 hours but it wears great over a 12 hour day. I also wore this in the sun for several hours and though my arms and shoulders burned a bit my face was fine so the SPF 15 comes in handy. I have fair/light, t-zone slick skin with a lot of freckles and occasional cystic acne and this does not break me out and my oily areas seem to be better when wearing this. The color I purchased based on online swatches was 100 and it is perfect. It is pricey but I only use 2 pumps meaning it should last a while. I have used this solely for the last 2 weeks and still cannot see inside the bottle. I definitely recommend this. I have bought a ton of foundation this year most of it higher end and this has been one of the best.
It has been a while since I used this but do remember not being impressed enough by this product. It has "lift" in the name but does not seem to do so for me. I used this for a week but had to go to something that moisturized deeper since I was dry. I have begun to think that nothing topical can "lift" your legs so really can't hold the lack of visuals against the product but I felt it also did not create enough moisture for my skin.
This is one of a few of my back up options and at the moment my preferred across devices. I have my google account synced between my phone, laptop, desktop and tablet allowing access across all of my platforms. I do wish there was more control when choosing what to back up but since I use Samsung products exclusively this allows autonomy when moving my files and info from an old to a new device in a manner that makes this progam indespensable in my opinion.
