I'm a Boston-bred artist with a love-hate relationship for drawing, painting, poetry, and photography. I'm a stickler for grammar, knowledge of Harry Potter, and keeping all hands off of my organised clutter. I love horror movies, dogs, and not wearing pants.
I received this product for free to review from Influenster. As a fan of the classic Great Lash mascara, I was excited to try it in royal blue! However, I'm not sure if I'm just bad at using mascara or what, but the blue isn't very noticeable to me. I might not apply it closely enough to my lash line for it to be bold, but as a result of at least how I apply my makeup, I would've been happier with the black Great Lash and maybe a royal blue liner.
I am beyond in love with ColourPop's products. The pigmentation is punchy, and even non-matte formulas last for a long time. My two longest-lasting Lippie Stix are Chi Chi (a bright true orange) and Boogie (a Satin Luxe finish magenta with turquoise glitter). I always get compliments on them when I wear them! And at $5 apiece, your wallet will be a lot happier.
All in all, it's a solid product. I like the pink colour, but the scent is the same as the white soap. It's not my favourite soap scent, but it doesn't linger, does clean your skin without overdrying or stripping it of healthy oils, and works into a lather easily.
A lot of the flavors in this pack were pretty good, even for someone who dislikes grape flavoring, etc. They also tasted slightly effervescent, when I don't believe it's carbonated. It's light and refreshing!
When I thought I had oily skin, this was a "safe" choice to me. It's oil free, and it's very light. Nowadays, I use this as a light base of moisturizer all over my face, and apply a heavier moisturizer on the spots that aren't acne-prone or are dry.
I'm not sure if this product truly warrants as low a score as I've given it, because I had a fundamental misunderstanding of my skin type. As someone who is prone to pimples but has very dry skin (who knew?), this was actually a terrible choice for my skin. My face would both be broken out and flaky, and I chalked it up to cold weather. Sometimes even my pimples were flaky! I had no idea this could happen. As soon as I switched to a gentler, non-scrub face wash, my skin calmed down a lot.
This is one of the water brands my family regularly purchases. It definitely fits all the basic requirements of water, and in recent years, they've slimmed down the cap. Of course the bottles are recyclable, so that added to the thinner cap adds a little eco-friendliness to your day!
