First off, thank you so much for the complimentary product! I was impressed with the serving size, three peeps was just enough. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the chocolate and the light coconut flavor. I would definitely give this product a thumbs up and recommend it to others! Especially if you are a long time peep fan.
I have a love/hate relationship with liquid liner. Like a lot of other people, I love a sharp wing. It adds that extra something to my eyes and lifts them. I've found liquid liner to be the easiest way to do that, but liquid can be a challenge....
Well. Not anymore. I first tried out this little baby back when it retailed for $1. I didn't have high hopes simply because I thought I would be "getting what I paid for." Man oh man was I wrong! The brush is flexible, but stiff enough to get a precise line. ITS BLACK! I hate nothing more than a liner that dries and isn't dark enough. I like my liner as dark as Lord Voldemorts soul.
My only complaint is that this dries with a little bit of shine. A matte finish and it would be perfect. It doesn't flake off, the product goes a long way, and its gentle on the eyes. Definitely worth $2.
I like that this is an affordable matte lip product. They are hard to come by! It wears well. It is not the easiest to apply, I suggest applying some sort of moisturizing product to your lips before using it. It can be drying, so if you already struggle with dry lips this may not be a good product for you during the winter months.
I am someone who does not mind drinking plain old water. However, per suggestion of a friend I purchased a MiO. Honestly I do not care for it. The taste was strange. Almost like the formula was not potent enough to completely flavor the water.
I would love to say that every shade in this palette is buttery and pigmented, but that's just not the case. However, considering the price it is not bad! Most shades are decent, a few coming off chalky. With that being said, if you use a primer you should not have much trouble getting good color payoff. The colors in this palette will be great for fall and winter. For the price, not bad overall.
I was honestly shocked when I used this. As far as primers go, I usually stick to Urban Decay Primer Potion or NYX HD Base. However, this primer came in a set so I thought I would give it a go. It. Is. Fabulous! It works better than the NYX primer. It only takes a wee bit, it grabs the shadow and makes it more vibrant. Your shadow will last all day with this product. For a dollar at most retailers that carry it, you cannot go wrong.
While I do not want to give away details and ruin the story for anyone, I will say this: The first two books are AMAZING. I could NOT put them down...however I was disappointed with the third and final book.
I am a long time user of NYX products..their eyeshadow's being some of my all time favorites. Their Trio's are soft and pigmented, but can get a little dusty so you need to be cautious of fallout. I suggest you use a primer with these shadows for longevity.
Although I think this is a brilliant concept and is probably very helpful to some, I did not find myself reaching for this product very often. If you wear very light eye makeup, this would be fabulous to avoid smudging. I also thing this is a great product for beginners.
