Review for Propel Flavored Water - 1 year, 5 months ago
First off: it's water, not juice. Second: it has electrolytes so it's great for that extra hydration (hangovers, the flu, chemo). Third: it's got a lovely, light flavor.
Review for Kong Classic Rubber Dog Toy - 3 years, 10 months ago
My terrier won't even touch this toy. She isn't a fan of rubber. And my lab won't play with it, but he'll lick out the peanut butter in under 3 minutes.
Review for Goody® QuikStyle Paddle Brush - 3 years, 10 months ago
I have long hair that takes a buttload of time to dry. I was so excited to use this product. However, I noticed that it pulls out more hair than my other brushes.
Review for Neutrogena Wave Sonic Power-Cleanser - 3 years, 10 months ago
After doing research on the Clarisonic, I opted for this much more affordable (only $16) treatment.

First of all, the Sonic Wave only uses pads, so it doesn't over-exfoliate. I have used this in the bath and the shower, and it is indeed WATERPROOF, which is great since it runs on batteries.

The only downsides are that you have to replace the pads (although, maybe a really frugal person could just wash and reuse them); and that the soap stings if it gets in your eyes and tastes disgusting if it gets in your mouth.
Review for Fifty Shades of Grey - 3 years, 10 months ago
Three things bother me about this trilogy (okay, there are a lot more than three, but we'll stick to the big ones):
1: The series started as a Twilight Fan Fiction- and reading it you can see that the characters are just recycled from Twilight.
2. The author doesn't write from what she knows- she's a British woman writing about the Pacific Northwest and there is major inaccuracies about the area, the foods, the schooling, etc. And you're seriously expecting me to believe that a 22 year old American college student(majoring in literature) would have never had an e-mail address or computer before?!?! Seriously? My dog has a facebook and this chick doesn't have e-mail?
3. The writing is terrible. I'm not going to go into some of the ridiculous scenes, but the actual writing is horrible (and remember, the main character is a LITERATURE major. The darn author should at least be able to write).
Review for Sally Hansen Insta-Gel Strips - 4 years, 3 months ago
These are not worth the hassle or the cost. For $14 you get one manicure. Sure, it in theory should last ten days, but for the money you could buy a bottle of polish and get multiple manicures....
Second, these take much longer to apply than regular polish. You have to make sure the strip is just smaller than your nail bed (or else it WILL peel within 5 days). This is problematic because you may have to cut the strip to size before peeling the backing off. Once you peel the backing off, you have one shot to stick the strip to your nail.
I am only not giving this an "F" because the gel top coat works pretty well.
Review for Forever 21 - 4 years, 5 months ago
Forever 21 definitely has some cute clothing. Unfortunately, they seem to take a cue from Abercrombie and Fitch and only make clothing in sizes xxs-large. Now, xl is not that abnormal of a size. And if you are willing to go 2 sizes below normal, you can at least go bigger.

Second: that store is always overcrowded. The salespeople can't keep up with the overly filled racks. And then the clothes wind up on the floor... Basically, it's like visiting a third-world market experience-wise.

And be prepared for the fact that you'll have to wait in line to check out. Because they only ever have one salesgirl ringing people out.
Review for Torrid - 4 years, 5 months ago
Last time I went they had a $75 coat that was basically a stretched poly-blend. It was ripped. I asked if it would be discounted because of the rip. I was told "no". The clothes there are really cheap and terribly overpriced. If you are a bigger person, it sucks, but spend the extra money to get something worth the price.
Review for Red Bull Energy Drink - 4 years, 5 months ago
Okay, so my favorite alcoholic beverage is a jaegarbomb. And this is an active ingredient. But it does have a pretty great taste!
Review for Glee - 4 years, 5 months ago
Initially, it was often asked how Glee could sustain itself after the first two seasons and it's characters started to graduate. The answer? They would just make the show worse until we begged them to cancel it!
