I am a horror movie fanatic with a deep love for black licorice and seaweed salad. I refuse to eat beets, & parsnips make my mouth swell like a pool float. I love to read Bette Midler's tweets. Actually, I read everything I can get my paws on, whether it be books or the backs of toothpaste tubes. I especially love to read about rare diseases, and find myself re-reading The Phantom Tollbooth whenever I am bored. Aside from horror films, I really just like movies in general. Trading Places is my fave, but I have recently come to the realization that I have never seen an Ethan Embry movie that I haven't liked. What else do people talk about? Music? Uhhh, I like everything from Queen to Neil Diamond to Saetia to TLC to The Four Tops, & back around again to Sleater-Kinney. Hmm let's see... I'm a amateur Geocacher with a love of puzzles, the woods, and hiking when my fibro lets me. I don't work, but I sometimes volunteer at the local cat shelter to help the kittie meats in any way I can. I have a six-year-old son who loves SFX videos and Minecraft, and a 14-year-old stepdaughter who thinks I am the Antichrist. That is really about it. I am pretty damned boring. Oh, and Hi!
Yet another OGX product that I love. First off, it is insanely delicious smelling. Straight up cookies. Vanilla. So good!
Secondly, this stuff is my go to leave-in conditioner for my ends, and after I have re-dyed my hair. I am also known to use it as a weekly treatment for the heck of it. I really love how amazingly soft it leaves my hair without feeling greasy at all!
Is it worth the hype?! With an easy on the wallet price tag, NYX Worth the Hype Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara is not only financially appealing, but visually appealing as well. The formula is on the wetter side, but glides on smoothly and beautifully. The brush is large and wide, and adds incredible volume. Nice!
My lashes are super thin and stumpy, and this mascara definitely transformed them. So far, no smudges or irritation, and it is going on four hours. I am pretty happy with this! Thanks, Nyx!
I want to start by saying that I have used other Garnier products in the past, and have been pleased with the results. This is not one of those times. I don't hate this dye, but I certainly don't love it.
My hair, pre-dye, was a mixture of dark brown virgin hair at the roots, light brown / dark blonde below that, and light blonde beneath that. My ends were bright purple from another dye. I removed the other fashion dye from the rest of my hair.
Now it begins! I opened the box, pulled out the insert, and read over the standard directions and patch test warnings that were very thorough and perfectly worded for both pros and newbies alike. Then, I saw them... those horrible plastic wrap-type gloves that make me shriek in horror when I see them included in home kits. Strike one.
Either way, I mixed the dye up according to said directions, and was a little taken aback when I saw how little product there was. My hair is shoulder-length, but very thick, so this might be enough for someone with more normal textured hair. Since my ends were already bright purple from another guy I decided to just forgo doing my ends all together to make sure everything else was fully saturated.
Dye, tie up hair, set a timer, wait, then rinse. You know, the usual.
After rinsing my hair, it came time to add the packet of conditioner. Now when your hands are all slick from the water and the dye rinsing, the last thing you want to fight with is a slippery packet. I wish it were mandatory that all conditioner packets came with a screw off lid or a top you could just snap off. Anyhow, I eventually gave up trying to tear off the corner of the packet, ended up using my teeth, I hate that feeling... it makes me skeeve so hard. Strike two.
The conditioner was not good. My hair felt like a cheap cotton ball had a baby with a Brillo pad, which is not how you want your hair... ever. I recommend a deep conditioning treatment after using this product.
My dark brown roots did not take, but that is no one's fault because it clearly states that dark brown hair will not do so on the box. The dark blonde hair looked more of a winey purple, and the light blonde turned out to be a true grape. None of the colors looks like the swatches on the box. The color is patchy, which I find surprising from Garnier. I will include a picture and tried to cut out as much of my roots and already dyed ends as possible so you can see the Ombre from light brown/dark blonde to light blonde and the patchiness.
Final thoughts... If you really want brightly colored hair, I recommend trying out a conditioning demi-permanent or semi-permanent dye rather than something that was as damaging as this. If you are really into Garnier, I would recommend trying out hair dye in one of their other lines. If you really really really have your heart set on trying this particular dye, I recommend getting two boxes to ensure full coverage and to minimize patchiness, and then purchasing a literal ton of conditioner to use afterwards.
Please note, that I received this product for free from Influenster to try out and review, but the opinions contained therein are 100% my own.
Whoaaaa, I thought someone was punking me when they gave me this ice cream and told me it was non-dairy. I was surprised! It tasted like the Ben & Jerry's I remembered from my pre-veg days. Wow! I love chocolate and cherry flavors, and this one was a real treat!
Wow! This is the smoked paprika that I actually prefer over all of the other brands that I have used in the past! It is super cheap, but does not lack in flavor! Tastes good on just about everything. Fantastic product!
LOVE. Fruity, flowery, woodsy, musky, sexy. It is incredibly intense straight out of the bottle, but once you get past the initial shock, the smell is so intoxicating. One of the few perfumes I have that people have stopped me and asked me what I am wearing. It evolves and morphs throughout the day, lingering on for hours and hours.
One of my favorite Juicy Couture releases, this fragrance is sweet and feminine, but alluring and sexy at the same time. It smells like a fruit salad, jasmine, and a tiny drop of patchouli had a perfume baby. My ONLY complaint is that this does not last quite as long as some of the other Juicy perfumes. (This may a personal thing, as my skin EATS fragrance) Regardless, I love it, and do not mind reapplying later in the day!
I am so very very surprised. I received this for Christmas, and had heard the hype, but never understood until I actually used it.
The eyeshadows are buttery, creamy, and blend so well with little to no fallout. Highly pigmented is an absolute understatement. Another plus is the fantastic range of colors, some shimmery, some matte, that allow you to create endless looks. It is also an absolutely plus that these can be used wet or dry, without damaging the shadows.
I highly recommend this palette for beginners and well-seasoned makeup fanatics alike.
