I have tried countless number of skincare products, including masks. I love a good mask that leaves my skin feeling moisturized and brightened. This mask, however, has a very thick consistency, which I normally would not mind if the end result is good. The difficulty with removal and the residue it leaves is what completely turned me off. I even used a facial brush to remove and the residue was still there. I tried to use as much as I can stand and threw it out with about 2/3 of the jar left. Needless to say, I cannot comment on the efficacy...
I live in a fairly mild climate, but it can be a bit dry. My lips are perpetually dry when I wake up in the morning, This lip mask does what it says: it moisturizes and softens your lips! One thing I hate about lip products is stickiness, and this lip mask has none of that. Nor is it too oily.
The only thing I would change is the packaging. I hate potted lip products because of the germ factor. Yes, it comes with a tiny spatula, but I would love to be able to carry one in my purse if not for the ick factor that comes with sticking my finger in the pot. I think the consistency may allow for a foil tube and would make this product perfect!
I am in my late 30s with combination skin (slightly oily t-zone). I am also religious about putting on adequate sunscreen to prevent premature aging. The first few times I used this moisturizer, I thought I was in love! It is fairly lightweight (for a blurring product) and leaves my skin looking, well, blurred. I also liked that it gives me a natural matte finish.
The bubble bursted when a few days later I used it under my foundation and found out that it pills. Not a lot like the Murad Invisible Shield, but enough to annoy me. I still like the product, but the pilling issue would prevent me from using it on a regular basis. Personally I would rather use a separate SPF on top of my normal day-time moisturizer than dealing with the pilling.
I have realized (hopefully not too late) that foaming cleansers are actually too harsh for any skin. This is a great non-foaming gentle cleanser, and I use it either as a morning cleanser or as my second cleanse after removing my makeup with cleansing oil or balm. The scent is very fresh and faint, and I believe it is coming from the ingredients instead of fragrance. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and soft without the tightness some cleansers may cause.
The claim states that the cleanser is tough on makeup, but I have to disagree with it. I have never been able to use this cleanser alone to remove makeup, always end up with giant racoon eyes from my mascara residue.
I have combination skin with slightly oily t-zone. As someone who is religious about using adequate sunscreen to prevent premature aging, I am always on the hunt for a great sunscreen. Bonus if I get to cut out a step in my skincare regiment. While this does have SPF 30, I find that it is too thick for my personal liking. Especially if I use enough to get the SPF 30 protection, I can feel the product sitting on top of my skin and doesn't quite get absorbed.
I think if you are on the normal to dry or dry spectrum, you may like this better.
I wanted this to be my go-to product for those hotter than bearable days when the oil production on my nose and forehead is out of control, but no dice. This is supposed to be a moisturizer, but my skin actually feels much drier and tight after using this product. It also makes my foundation cling on to the area I applied this product to and looks awfully patchy. Maybe my skin is not oily enough to use this...
I love how this lip treatment leaves my lips soft and hydrated. Bonus points for creating so many different shades. The treatment isn’t too sticky or too emollient like some lip balms can be. While I appreciate that there is sunscreen in the formula, I would have preferred at least SPF 30 for adequate sun protection.
I am in my late 30s with combination skin. After years of believing that the more foam the better, I finally learned that foaming face wash is actually bad for your skin and strips too much oil from your skin. Purity is a very gentle cleanser that does not strip my face of my oil. I use it either as a morning cleanser or as my second cleanse when I remove my makeup. To me it doesn’t have a distinctive scent and leaves my skin soft and hydrated.
This palette is a perfect for every-day looks as well as more dramatic nighttime looks! The formula is buttery and pigmented without powderiness or fallouts. This palette also has a really range of mattes and shimmers and really is a all-in-one palette for the neutral lovers. The packaging is great for traveling as well.
