Review for Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder, Naturally Neutral, 2.3 oz, 6 Pack - 3 weeks, 5 days ago

This is a well loved loose setting powder by so many, but unfortunately, this powder just didn’t capture my heart. After watching several videos from Tati Westbrook and seeing her rave & love this powder so much, I decided to try it myself! This is a very affordable and accessible product; I have found this in stores like Walmart and Walgreens around the $7-8 price point range. Packaging for this product is pretty basic; it’s just a plastic tub-like container with a twist on/off lid. I like to tip my container over when closed, give it a little shake to get some product poured into the lid, tip it back up and slowly remove the lid and there should be some product on the lid to use. Now I stress when I say slowly remove the lid because a cloud of powder will come out if you’re not careful. Now as far as the product quality goes, the power definitely does its main job which is to set the makeup and keep it in its place for an all day wear. However, I did find this powder to be drying. I have oily to combination skin; but my skin is currently dry with pretty rough dry patches mainly on and around my nose, and I felt like the powder clung onto those patches. It was just not the most flattering of powers that I have used.

Two words: FULL. COVERAGE! This concealer is extremely full coverage; like paint for the under eye area. My favorite part about this product is the innovative applicator, which consists of a metal application that gives you a cooling, depuffing sensation effect. A little goes a long, long way; you do not need to use or dispense a lot of product out to get an even full coverage base. The formula of this concealer makes it great to use for highlighting and contouring. I didn’t experience any creasing, but then again, I set my concealer with powder right after I blend it out. The only reason why I couldn’t give this a full five stars is because it is easy for this product to look heavy or cakey if you don’t go in light handed with it, or don’t take your time pressing it into the skin to blend it out.

Review for JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS Blood Sugar Palette - 4 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 4
This is hands down my favorite eyeshadow palette that I own in my collection! I own all of Jeffree Star Cosmetic’s eyeshadow palettes and this remains to be my top favorite from the brand. The eyeshadow formula is consistent with the other palettes; same beautiful pigmentation with buttery mattes that blend like a dream and super reflective shimmers. The packaging for this palette is to die for & shows how innovative the brand is. Jeffree Star, the owner, is known for being a collector when it comes to luxury brands; so I feel like this was Jeffree’s take on giving his supporters a product that would give us the same feeling he gets; that feeling of owning something special, so pretty you don’t want to touch it! I know this brand isn’t exactly drug store affordable, but I still think for the level of quality you’re receiving between the product & packaging, the price point is very appropriate!

Review for MORPHE The James Charles Artistry Palette - 4 weeks ago

If you are in the market for a bright, vibrant, colorful, pigmented palette - look no further! This is an excellent palette for anyone who enjoys creating artistic looks, to those who just like neutral everyday looks but want to add in pops of color from time to time. This palette is limitless when it comes to the possibilities of eye looks that can be created. The only reason why I can’t give this a full five stars even though the product itself certainly is five star quality, is the fact that because these are pressed pigments, I wouldn’t recommend this palette to someone who is just starting out with makeup or doesn’t have some experience. These pressed pigments are made to be picked up on a brush little by little, to build to the opaqueness desired, and may take skill to blend out flawlessly.

Review for JEFFREY STAR Alien Palette - 1 month ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 4
Oops, Jeffree Star Cosmetics did it again! Jeffree Star & his brand continue to amaze me, time and time again with each release. I look forward to each of his releases to see how he is going to top the last release, what innovative design he’s come up with next, what new formulas or products he has created. His brand gives a sense of excitement and that’s exactly what I felt with his Alien palette. The packaging is a 3D face of a pink alien. It has that faux vegan leather texture for the packaging, similar to what they used for the Blood Sugar trunk palette packaging. The chrome like eyes of the alien are what give the 3D effect as they are raised. The palette opens with a side swipe, up and around motion, like a swivel motion. Inside the palette is a mixture of creamy, buttery mattes and smooth, reflective shimmer / metallic shades that consist of green, purple, grey, and other cool tone eyeshadows. The eyeshadow formula is consistent with Jeffree Star Cosmetic’s precious palettes, which is nothing short of amazing. All of the eyeshadows blend out beautifully, they are super pigmented, no patchiness, and are just simply enjoyable to work with. The palette is unique, in all ways, and a great addition to my collection & vanity!

Review for Kylie Cosmetics The Naughty Palette Kyshadow - 1 month ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 4
This palette was from the 2017 Holiday Collection; I decided to get this palette versus the other palette, the Nice palette, because I felt that the color scheme was more unique from what I have in my collection. I know this palette was limited edition, therefore it is no longer available for purchase from the Kylie Cosmetics website. The mattes are buttery and soft, minimal kickback and blend out nicely. The shimmers / metallics are smooth and reflective. There is a lot of opportunity to create different eye looks as there is a mixture of different colors, and not just one color story trend. Do I feel as if this palette was worth $45+? Short answer, no. I just don’t feel like the quality of Kylie Cosmetics eyeshadow formula overall is not worth their price point. I just feel that the shadows are just about the same quality as Colourpop for the most part, sometimes worse! So though I do enjoy the colors of this palette and it’s not bad in quality, it’s just not something I would of bought all over again if I could or wanted to.

I am 10000% obsessed with using this foundation right now! L’Oreal did an amazing job with this formula, and not even just compared to other drug store foundations - I’m talking about an amazing job compared to all foundation formulas! I was a huge fan, and still am, of the original Infallible Pro Matte foundation, so when I saw they were coming out with this formula, I was instantly intrigued. This foundation is a medium to full coverage foundation that dries down to a beautiful satin matte finish that makes it look like your skin, but better! I have found that if you are trying to achieve a full coverage wear with this foundation, using a brush is the way to go; if you would like a medium coverage finish, then I would use a beauty sponge of some sort. This foundation blends out effortlessly and really does hold up for an all day wear without getting uncomfortably dry, breaking apart or cracking. I would recommend using either a loose or pressed setting powder to set the foundation; this will help with the foundation holding up longer and prevent it from settling into your fine lines or smile lines. This foundation makes application so much more enjoyable!

Review for Cover FX Gripping Primer - 1 month ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 4
I decided to give this product a whirl after seeing Tati Westbrook rave about it on her channel. It was refreshing to see Cover/FX come around again with some new products; I feel like people had just stopped talking about them; that was until now! This primer is amazing! There is a reason why they incorporated the term “gripping” into the actual product name. When you apply the primer to your face, you’ll notice that it has a jelly like consistency and texture. You’ll almost immediately notice that your skin appears glass like smooth and even. It’s not the most pore filling primer on the market, but the product also doesn’t claim to minimize the appearance of pores either. It’s main claim is to provide smooth glass like skin and hold on to your makeup look all day long! After the product has set into the skin for 30-40 seconds, you’ll notice how sticky / tacky your skin has become. If you’re not used to using a tacky primer, this might be an odd feeling to get used to, but if you have used one, then you know what good it can do to promote longevity of your makeup looks!

L’Oreal is absolutely killing the game right now & giving high end brand a run for their money. When I was at my local Walmart looking for the new L’Oreal Infallible 24-Hour Fresh foundation, I stumbled upon this new concealer, and was pleasantly surprised. I had heard so much about the new foundation, but hardly anything at all about the new concealer. First impressions: Packaging is real simple; just a plastic tube component with a black, silver and nude colored block pattern on the cap. Pricing & availability is very fair and affordable; the product can be found at any drugstore for around $11-12 each. The shade range is decent; it’s not Fenty Beauty status, but it’s not Tarte Shape Tape Foundation bad either. As far as the performance of the product goes, this is an amazing concealer. This miiiiight be my new all time favorite drug store concealer! The coverage is absolutely insane and will make your mouth drop when you first experience it. If you have tried Tarte Shape Tape concealer, you will find a lotttt of similarities between the two. The doe foot applicator for the concealer is thick with a slanted tip, where it gives precision to get close to the inner corner and right under the eyelid. This concealer is really full coverage and matte, so you definitely want to dust loose setting powder to set the under eye area before it creases. Once it is set, you’re good to go; I didn’t experience any issues with creasing, separating, cracking, or drying. I really genuinely love this product and plan on using this time and time again!
