The formula of both the blush and the bronzer is nice, but it's nothing particularly special, and neither of them are great shades on me. I like the bronzer (the shade is Laguna) more than the blush since it's a decent color for me and it's not too matte or too shimmery, but it's not something I tend to pick over my other bronzers. The blush (the shade Orgasm) is fine but I feel like it's over-hyped. It looks okay from directly in front but when I turn my head it has a noticeable purple reflect that I really don't like. If the shades are the kind you usually go for then you'll probably like this, but otherwise it isn't worth the hype.
This foundation is very greasy, and the shade range is awful. I knew that the lightest shade would be too dark and planned to use it with a white mixer, but it's too greasy for me to wear in the first place. I was hoping up would be something easy to put on for a bit of coverage when I was going to the store or something, but unfortunately I can't make it work.
Review for: Kink & Kisses, Flesh & Fantasy more...
I received a Voxbox a while ago with the shade Kink & Kisses, and I was excited to be getting it but skeptical of whether it would be worth $42. It turns out that for me, it absolutely is! I tend to go for drugstore makeup, so a $42 blush seemed outrageous to me, but I like this one so much that I would gladly buy it if I ran out. I even asked for another shade last Christmas because the formula works so well for me, and I was given the shade Flesh & Fantasy by a relative. Kink & Kisses is the perfect shade for me - it's not too warm or cool toned, it looks natural on my very pale skin, and it's pigmented enough to show up without using a ton of product but sheer enough that it's hard to go overboard on accident (Flesh & Fantasy is the same as far as pigment, but the shade isn't an everyday shade for me). It isn't matte, but it isn't super shimmery either - it gives a soft glow, just like the name implies. It lasts well on my skin (generally 6-8 hours of wear with minimal physical activity) and it's one of my favorite blushes.
I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
This lip balm is decent at moisturizing, and it does have a nice flavor, but it has a weird, gritty texture. I really wish I could stand using it because it's a pretty good lip balm otherwise and it tastes good (very similar to orange juice) but I can never get over the texture. It just feels weird to apply and I can still feel the grittiness after I put it on. If you can get past it then it's a nice product, but I usually don't mind slightly odd textures so I feel like the grittiness would bug most people.
I can't work with this foundation at all. It won't blend well and it wears off entirely around the perimeter of my face after about 5-6 hours of wear (I need my foundation to last well for at least 8 hours). It's also not really full coverage, more of a light-medium, and I have very good skin. The shade range isn't very good, the lightest shade is a couple shades too dark for me and from what I can tell the shades don't go very deep either. It's very cakey as well no matter what I do.
This concealer in the shade White Out is so good for undereye brightening! I've always struggled to find an undereye concealer light enough to brighten because I'm very pale, and this one works great! If you're not super pale then the pure white shade is probably too light to use on its own, but if you're as light as me or lighter you'll love it. It blends well, lasts all day, and does a surprisingly good job of concealing dark circles for being just white. Unfortunately, it does crease on me a moderate amount. I have more fine lines under my eyes than most people my age, though, so all concealers crease at least a bit. If I set it with powder right away it helps a lot. It's also great to mix with a concealer that's too dark to lighten it.
It took me a while to finally buy one of these because I was told by somebody who knows my makeup preferences that I may find it too sticky. But I saw a MAC Duty Free store at the airport and I ended up getting one in the shade Lovechild. I love it! It is a bit sticky, but not to the point where it annoys me. It's just sticky enough to stay on and last a decent amount of time, but not sticky enough to be unpleasant. I keep it in my purse at all times because it's great to throw on if I'm out and about. The reason I'm not giving it all five stars is it doesn't last well through eating and drinking at all. I would still absolutely recommend trying this product out!
I wait all year for these! I always love the combination of chocolate and orange but nothing else compares to these. It's officially Christmas season for me when I see them at Rite Aid! The best place to get then is WalMart though, since they're the cheapest there.
I decided to get the Moonchild palette because it looked unique, as well as good for pale skin. The highlights are super pigmented and they reflect the color in the pan, but in a surprisingly wearable way. I use a fan brush to apply, and it goes on perfectly. Smooth, blendable, long-lasting, and unique. I often have trouble finding highlights that don't look too dark on me, but all of these look great (Lucky Clover is my favorite). I'm glad that they made it permanent because I can see myself using it up entirely, which almost never happens.
This setting spray is a summertime essential for me! It makes my makeup last at least 2 hours longer than it would otherwise, usually more. I even bought a backup, something I almost never do, because I never want to run out completely. It sets your makeup without changing the finish, which I really like because sometimes I want a matte finish and sometimes I want a dewy finish or something in between so I can always use this setting spray no matter what look I decide to go for that day. It also works really well to wet eyeshadows and make them more vibrant, and it's cheaper than MAC Fix+. Definitely give this a try, especially if you want an inexpensive setting spray option that actually does something.
