As we all know constant lipstick, especially liquid matt colours, can dry them out and with the changing of seasons and sporadic weather that the UK brings I certainly have noticed that they’re not in the best shape. Burts Bees lip crayon in sedona sands (405) is, however, a fantastic alternative as it is highly nourishing while also adding some colour. It’s perfect for those days where you just have some BB cream and mascara!
I’ve never been a real blush girl just because of my complexion and complete inability to apply it without looking like a clown but Benefit has supplied me with an option. The ‘galifornia’ blush is just gorgeous and as it needs to be layered it ensures I don’t go OTT! The packaging is also gorgeous which is, of course, a bonus. I wouldn’t use it every day as I am a far too poor student and it is rather costly but it is perfect for those days I just want to look a little better and radiant. (less dead as my friends have so kindly worded it!)
Zoella mentioned it in one of her videos and I find it so much easier to use and gives my make-up a better finish compared to other brushes or a sponge. I have always, and likely will always, use Real Techniques brushes so I suggest looking into them.
The formulation and finish are both wonderful and I adore all the colours but especially the purple. I find it makes my nails look neat and it can just add a little something-something to outfits. If I’m feeling especially unwell (with me being chronically ill) it really helps to feel a bit more put together.
I have always been a fan of Body Shops body butters as they’re super nourishing and always smell divine so when the autumnal vanilla pumpkin scent was released I knew I needed it for these colder months. It is absolutely beautiful and perfect for post-bath moisturising.
Light enough on the skin that it doesn’t feel weighty and sticky and gross when I sleep but it sinks into the skin well and I wake up with much better skin. Something I always reach for in the colder months or if I’m having a particularly bad skin month. Is also amazing if you’re in hospital.
