Again this isn't the style I have, but a fitted crib sheet is obviously important. ;)
Muslin blankets! These are awesome light weight blankets that are great for a quick swaddle, or a light blanket in the carseat! Also works great as a nursing cover in public.
This is another product where I don't have this exact colour but I have a HALO SleepSack/Swaddle. It's so awesome. You can swaddle arms in until your baby can roll over, and then you can swaddle arms out! We just recently switched to a muslin fabric one as it's summer and HOT, but still great nonetheless.
Now I don't have these exact ones because I can't find the brand we have (Kushie's) but these are are great for preventing those scratches on your baby, and also to keep their teeny hands warm.
For those breastfeeding mamas who want to pump..this is a fantastic pump and I'm so glad I got it!
Having my son's dad be able to feed the baby was very important to me.. so I managed to pump milk and we used these bottles! Love them!
Now, I only used this for 5 weeks in my bedroom as we moved our son to his bed after that, but it's been great in other places too! For the first few weeks of his life we would bring it downstairs, and he would nap in this every day.. Saved me climbing the stairs (not fun with stitches!) and was super easy. It's also been great now that he's a bit older and we go out to friends' houses..he can sleep anywhere!
A big purchase, but an important one. I was lucky enough to have this given to me by my parents, but it's a must for your baby. The infant car seat clicks right in, and the stroller is SUPER light. Only 17lbs and super easy to collapse. With a back injury having something easy to carry and fold by myself was a must!
I know they say it's recommended to have your baby in your room for the first 6 months, and if you do that then maybe a monitor isn't important.. but for me, my son was a grunter!! At 5 weeks old he kept me up all in while in his bassinet so we decided to move him to his room. He started sleeping through the night, so a video monitor is a MUST. This one is fantastic.. you can pan/tilt/zoom right from the monitor and the night vision is fab.
These are a must for when your milk comes in, and also if you're breastfeeding for the first few months before your milk regulates. I have a very strong let-down so I still need these from time to time!
We started out with Kirkland wipes but my baby has an allergy to them, and gets a rash every time they touch his skin.. Huggies wipes how ever have been a blessing! We didn't start using them until he was a few months old, but I wish we had them from the get go!
