I was very interested in this type of roll on liner and was excited when I received it in my Boxycharm box. The packaging looks nice and is very well set up, the applicator feels comfortable in your hands and the pizza cutter shape intrigued me. The pros are that it is very black and once you get use to it is easy to apply and you can get a very thin line with some practice. The cons are it does take some time to get use to, it burns if a little runs into your eye (it is the worst pain I've ever felt from getting any product in my eye before), and it is not long wearing. This liner is not matte and does have a shine to it but is easy to remove. I personally can get a sharp point on a wing liner with this but I have a horrible time shaping the rest of the wing with this liner. If you are just going out for a few hours and not trying to make a wing, this maybe a good liner for you, but if you like a nice wing and looking for something long wearing I'd get another liner.
I initially purchased the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam palette. I tried for a while to fall in love with that palette with the plans to use it for creating a wedding look, after hearing it was recommended for bridal looks. I gave in and decided to go back to sephora and purchase this palette as well. I am so happy that I did! I love this palette, it blends so nicely and the colors are gorgeous. Though both palettes are great quality, I feel like this palette is more versatility for different looks. If you love golden looks i would recommend the Soft glam over this palette, but if you love Mauve tones this is for you. The formula is like butter and blends so easily together. It is so easy to create glamorous or everyday looks with this palette, I highly recommend it as a staple of anyone's collection.
I love colourpop shadow palettes as they easily blend and are normally pigmented. I love this eye shadow palette as the pops of color speak to me and I love, love, love the theme. I think the packaging is beautiful. I was worried I wouldn't be able to create very many "everyday" looks but I was surprised as I played with this palette how many different looks I could create. I do have to use a bronzer or go into another palette for a transition shade as Taurus is a little too dark for me. I've noticed with colourpop shadows that the glitter shadows go on better with a fix plus on your brush or with your finger. A couple of notes about a few of the shadows: The Pisces goes on beautifully with your finger but not so well with a brush, you do have to be careful of fallout with this shade. The Capricorn: when using this shade I rarely get any of the sparkle on my actual eye. But I prefer a matte black anyways. The Aquarius: Is really the only shade I'm a little disappointed in. It took me a bit of time to build up, it also started to fade on me throughout the night which I rarely ever happens. Now I did add another shadow on top of this shadow to brighten the shade up, unfortunately I learned after the other shadow is absolutely awful for wear time. I don't know if combining it with the other shadow effected this shade or not.
Otherwise, I love this palette, I love playing with it! Definitely worth the price.
I was very curious when I saw these candies in the store. When you first put them in your mouth they taste about the same as regular starburst. But after a few moments you can start to taste a sort of chili taste to the candy. The spice isn't overpowering. I liked the watermelon, orange, and strawberry mango flavors pretty well as the spice seemed to be balanced with a sweet start and a spicy end. The pineapple did not seem as balanced to me. I don't know if this would be a candy I would buy again, or if I did it would be for a starburst candy dish mixed with the original flavor. These are definitely worth a try though.
While at work, I got a craving for some Sour Patch Kids, unfortunately they were all out of the original flavors. I decided to try out the Sour Patch Kids. These remind me so much of the Ice Breaker's Sour's. They start out with with the sour sugar on the outside and move to a delicious sweet candy as to be expected with Sour patch kids. Though these ones have an added surprise of a cooling, almost minty taste towards then end and after taste. I don't think these will replace regular sour patch kids to me and I think I would like them personally way more if they didn't have the cooling effect after. I give these three stars because I personally feel Ice Breaker's Sours taste very similar to these but the Ice Breakers taste better.
I received this product in my Ipsy Bag. I do like it and at first was disappointed but have learned to like this product more. A little goes a long way and has helped to rehydrate my lips. I give it three stars because I don't really like to put balms on with my fingers, which this one you kind of have to or with a brush. It's also slightly pricier and I would expect better results. I do enjoy the coconut smell and will use it, I wouldn't be mad if I got another one in a subscription or as a sample or gift. Will not be repurchasing though.
Review for: Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 more...
This product is perfect if you're 10 years old and trying to convince your mom you're too sick to go to school. Maybe it's that I'm too pale. Maybe it doesn't work for cool undertones. Maybe my skin isn't dehydrated enough to absorb this product properly. I have no idea but this product does not look natural on. I have no idea how there are so many reviews of people saying they put this on for their "No makeup days".
I got several samples of this from sephora's website over time and thought it would be a good time for me to try it out for a week and give it a good honest review. See if it was a product I would like. I loved the idea of this product including SPF, color correcting, and was very intrigued about the shift from green to beige. I first used the Dr. Jart, Tiger Grass Re-pair serum, let that soak in while I brushed my teeth and hair (P.S. the serum is A+ and I'm glad you don't have to buy these together). Then I moved onto this, the color correcting treatment. I feel like I was victimized, I put a small amount onto my hands and applied this to my face. I started to rub it in and saw it turning from green to beige. Then like half way through it just stopped. I kept rubbing and rubbing, my skin did not seem to want to accept it and the green tint stayed. Now the redness was gone but instead it looked like I just spent a fearful night with food poisoning. All the color was gone from my face and slight green tint suggested I was ill. Since I was not planning on wearing makeup, I did not leave time to do a full face of makeup. I hastily threw on some foundation (which I don't know if it was the time crunch but felt like it took forever to blend out), some bronzer and blush to make me look human again. I felt like someone had put face putty on me everything felt so heavy. Even with the normal amount of blush and bronzer I just seemed washed out all day.
There are so many reviews where people say this is their holy grail product, I don't want to say they're mistaken, but I am going to say that you should try to get a sample of this product before buying it. $51 is just too much to be risking it on. This product is on sample often at sephore, grab it, try it, maybe you'll love it. I just personally cannot see how anyone could have this product match their natural skin tone unless your a constantly sea sick sailor.
I have a couple of colour pop eye shadow palettes and for the price the formula is exceptional. It's not going to blend as easily as say an ABH palette, but for less than half the price it's fantastic. I love the colors in the Dream St. Palette, I honestly have been watching Kathleen Lights on Youtube for some time now and that certainly influenced my purchase.
I have about a dozen palettes, and this is my most reached for, the colors work so beautifully together, I have had so many inspired looks. I have fair skin and the shade Sweet Dreams, is just this perfect Champagne, peachy color that I cannot get enough of. It is so easy to apply with your finger and can be used in so many looks. I personally cannot apply this shade with a brush though, when I use a brush there seems to be a lot of fall out and it doesn't show up much on the lid, it seems like much of the color falls off the brush, so just trust me when I say "use your finger". But this is probably my second most used shade of all my eyeshadows. If you use it with Spark it give you this beautiful firey look, with water bearer you can get this soft glistening water inspired look. It goes so well with all the colors in this palette.
I also really enjoy this palette because it includes several browns that can be used for transition shades and elvish is good for deepening up any eye look. Moony is a great highlight shade. And of course you have Kaleidoscope, which no picture can do it justice. It looks very silvery in so many pictures but it has a shift in it with some bluish green undertones and isn't like an in your face silver as it almost has a nude look to it. I do like taking this palette on trips with me because I feel like I can create so many different looks from such a small palette and it has everything I need.
I use this palette all year around I have used every shade (which I cannot say about most of my palette). You do have to build up some shades or work a little more for blending but for $16 this palette is so worth it. I know I have read some reviews about there being kick back and fall out. I have experienced some fall out when applying but nothing over the top, I almost always do my eyes first though. As far as kickback, I personally have not experienced, I mean there is a little bit of kickback if I'm being aggressive but nothing I've though "wow this is powdery", I think some kickback is expected from pigmented shadows. I purchased my palette when it was first released so I'm not sure if mine is better pressed but personally kick back is something I'm sure happens when I use this palette but is not something that I've noticed or really think about when using this palette.
Oh I love this toner and it is by far my favorite one I have every tried. I find it very soothing, it doesn't bother my face. I do remember feeling a little tightness when I first started using this product, not painful at all though. It doesn't bother my sensitive skin and is extremely affordable. It's also very nice if you get sunburned easily like myself.
I use this as part of my nightly routine along with my clarisonic, then witch hazel, then moisturizer (Orgin's Night Mineral). I made the mistake of purchasing another toner and I may just not finish it up and repurchase this instead.
