Gluten intolerant, vegetarian, graduate student. Trying to no be a 21st century consumer who doesn't poison her body, implicitly endorse the unfair treatment of innocent creatures, and not go further in debt if I don't have to.
My all-time favorite chocolate. When I found out I was severely gluten intolerant, I had it give up the majority of my favorite treats, even ones that you wouldn't think would be an issue - but thank goodness I can still keep these! I'm extremely sensitive to gluten but these chocolates haven't given me any problems.
This really works the first few times you use it but then it wears off. If you go a while without using it and the. Go back to it, it will work again. It also accentuates asymmetry, so someone who is really particular about having symmetrical lips might get annoyed with the results. It does burn, but I quite like that feeling to be honest. Overall, it's all right. Not life changing, though.
This product does not break me out (almost everything breaks me out), sits beautifully under makeup, makes my makeup last longer throughout the day, isn't overly mattifying but does help a bit with oil control (I have combination/oily skin). Only major con is that this bottle does not last very long at all and it's extremely expensive. I still recommend it, though, for people with oily or sensitive skin who want to incorporate a sunscreen into their daily routine. I'm not sure if someone with dry skin would like this because I've heard that other people experience pilling when they use this product. I haven't decided if I'm going to repurchase yet, only because of how fast the bottle is used up.
I adore this serum. Unfortunately, a little over 2 years ago I started displaying symptoms of a gluten intolerance and I didn't realize what my problem was up until about a year and half in. One of my symptoms was severe acne that covered my entire face from my cheekbones all the way to halfway down my neck. Now that I know what my problem was, I've stayed away from gluten and I can control my breakouts for the most part. BUT my skin was left extremely damaged and extremely sensitive. Because of this, I'm constantly looking for something that will help heal all my scarring (texture and pigmentation) while not irritating my skin - almost everything either gives me a rash or makes me break out. This serum has helped me so, so much in the healing process. My skin has gotten so much better since I've started using this, and it has never caused a breakout or irritation. It has a very strong citrus smell, so that may bother some. Sometimes you can feel it tingle, especially over area where there's an open scar or an area you've picked at (guilty) - but never gets to the point of irritation. The only con in my mind (the reason why I took off a star) is that I feel like if I use this every night for a while, my skin gets used to it and it stops working as well. Sometimes I stop using it for a few days and then I go back to it and it starts working again. I've already repurchased my 2nd bottle. I definitely recommend this product for someone who is dealing with post-acne skin damage.
There's nothing special about this hand wash. It was definitely drying, which is to be expected with a foam. It also runs out pretty quickly. Overall, I don't think I'll be repurchasing because I've found other cruelty free hand soap options that aren't as drying and more worth the higher price that these kinds of 'more natural' soaps have.
I love this as a nighttime hand cream. This is a little too rich for me to use in the morning or during the day because it takes a really long time to sink it and so it's hard to work with your hands. I have extremely dry hands all-year-round but whenever I use this at night, my hands are really soft and feel healthy. The scent is very strong, so I feel like you'd have to like it to put up with it. I personally love the way this makes my hands smell, but my roommates hated. Smell before you buy, but it will definitely nourish your hands!
I have never heard anyone say a bad thing about the Dr. Bronner's liquid pure castille soaps, but this just wasn't for me. I chose to purchase it because it's a cruelty free option AND it's affordable. It definitely did the job - I was squeaky clean after each shower or hand-washing... But it's incredibly drying. That being said, the skin on my body is naturally dry to begin with. I did finish the entire bottle, however I will not be repurchasing. It was just too stripping, and I've since found other soap and body wash options that make me feel clean but do not irritate or dry my skin out.
