Review for Food Should Taste Good Multigrain Tortilla Chips - 6 days, 17 hours ago
Foodie Expert Level 2
I am crunching on these as I write this review. These are SO. GOOD. While these aren't necessarily healthy, they're definitely better than your run of the mill tortilla chips. They're really good plain- they have that typically tortilla chips taste but the seeds and stuff seem to add a certain nuttiness to them- and they're also good with salsa and guac
Review for Trader Joe's Peppermint Tea - 1 month ago
Foodie Expert Level 2
I haven't tried any other peppermint teas, so I have nothing to compare this to, but I really like this! It's simultaneously refreshing and soothing, and it's caffeine free, so you can enjoy some in the evening. I'd recommend trying this out, it's cheap, so why not?
Review for Maybelline FaceStudio® Master Prime Primer - 1 month, 1 week ago

Review for: Maybelline FaceStudio Master Prime Hydrate + Smooth Primer more...
This primer has a thicker, lotion-like texture, making it good for those with skin that is a bit dryer. I have combo skin that leans towards oily, but I've needed some extra hydration in my dry areas since I started using a retinoid for my acne. Even though this does have silicones, it isn't as "slippery" as other silicone based primers I've tried. This doesn't have any really strong smell, in case anyone wants to know. It didn't seem to do that much to make my makeup last any longer, but as I've said, I do tend to lean towards oily skin. I did notice that it made my powder go on smoother and not make my dry, flaky patches look crusty. This also didn't break me out or irritate my skin, which is good. I got this product for free in exchange for my review through Influenster.

Review for essie Treat Love & Color Nail Strengthener - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 4
I can’t say too much about how much this will improve your nails as I switch out my nail polish a lot, but this is a very good polish for neutralizing stained and yellow nails. Generally, my nails are always yellow because I always wear nail polish, but recently I took of a nail polish that stained my nails to the point where the yellow took on an orange tint. I used Laven-dearly, and it took like 4 coats (but then again, my nails were basically orange) and that was enough to make my nails look presentable in public and not like I had a health problem. It is a very nice, natural looking polish, and its benefits make it a no brainer for when you want to throw something on your nails and be done. The brush is great-it is pretty wide compared to normal essie brushes but still small enough that I can cover my pinkie in one strike without getting any polish on my skin. It makes applying the polish easy, and the polish itself isn't streaky. The picture was taken before I had stained my nails orange, and it is 2-3 coats I believe.

Review for Maybelline Baby Lips® Glow Balm - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 4
I love the formula for this balm! It’s my first Baby Lips, so I dont know if it is the same formula as the original line, but the lip balm is smooth and very moisturizing, and it isn’t sticky or waxy and hard to put on. It doesn’t disappear on your lips, and the color actually leaves a very subtle stain even after the balm has faded. Personally, the color it turns on me isn’t my favorite-it turns a light pink on me which looks ever-so-slightly weird because I have pretty pigmented lips (I’ve found that a sheer red is a better color for me, to give you some context) - but some days I do like the boost of color. It has a light vanilla scent that is very faint and not at all artificial smelling, and I think even those sensitive to smells would be able to use this.

Review for Pure Ice Quick Dry Formula, Girl on the Go, 0.5 fl oz - 5 months, 1 week ago

I don't even know where to begin, but here goes! I love this so much, like it is HG status for me! Why would anyone pay almost $10 for a top coat that isn't even as good as this? It is insanely shiny, like DANG. It lives up to its name and dries really quickly, so I don't have to worry about ruining my mani seconds after finishing, and it helps when you're doing nail art - no need to wait 5 billion hours before stamping! I haven't had any shrinkage, and it wears pretty well. I've found that it will smear nail art when it is still new, but if you use it a few times and it gets a bit thicker, it won't smear nail art at all. It does get thick and string-y halfway through the bottle, but honestly it's the same way with all nail polishes. Just use some nail polish thinner and you're good. I always stock up whenever I can because most of the time, it's out of stock, which honestly is the only bad thing about this top coat. I've even gotten my sister and my friend hooked onto this!
Review for e.l.f. HD Mattifying Balm - 7 months, 1 week ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 4
I really wanted to like this, I did. I've been trying to find a product that will keep the oil on my face at bay, cause I have REALLY oily skin. I first got it because the reviews were good, and the ingredients weren't bad. I've used over half of it, and I still don't really like it. It does make you matte and minimize the look of your pores, but the effect only lasts a couple hours on me, tops. After that I'm back to being a greasy mess. The one okay thing is that it didn't break me out, which I'm always cautious of. Also, the packaging isn't the best. I've attached photos so you can see, but before you chalk it up to being too rough with it, I'm very careful with my stuff, and most of the time it was sitting on top of my desk. I've taken it on the go less than 5 times, but it still broke. It could just be the one I got but just a heads up. I do think it could work for someone else, but it just didn't for me

This is a great way to try out Essie's formula and colors! I really love Mademoiselle; it's the perfect sheer nude color. The bottles are really cute, not that that matters much.

Review for Sephora Favorites Perfume Travel Sampler - 1 year, 2 months ago

This is a GREAT deal! I was planning on buying a rollarball of one of the perfumes offered here, then I saw this and realized that it was CHEAPER to buy this then use the coupon to get the perfume I already knew I wanted, while also trying out some other perfumes I've heard so much about. There is a wide variety of fragrances, so you'll probably find something you at least like a little. The samples are pretty small but have enough product to get a good feel for the scent, and its convenient for touch ups if you have a really tiny purse. I really love this, and the scents are simply gorgeous!
Review for e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara - 1 year, 3 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 4
I haven't used this on my brows as most people have, but I use it on my lashes, and it does make a ever so slight difference. It adds subtle length and curl, and as someone who is new to makeup and doesn't want to have to deal with mascara flaking or running, especially since I have watery eyes, this is a good way to get used to using a mascara wand. It doesn't do TOO much, but I really didn't expect it to, I was just hoping to add a tiny , TINY bit of makeup to my daily routine. I think this would be a great way to start at makeup, because you really can't mess it up but it still helps you get used to using a mascara wand with no cleanup or maintenance necessary. Also, I use it as a primer to keep my lashes curled. I hate curling my lashes after I put regular mascara on because my lashes stick to the curler and I feel like they are being pulled out, but that was the only way my lashes would curl, but I found out if I put this on my lashes first and curled them, it would curl without doing the whole sticking-to-the-curler thing, and would keep my lashes curled when I layered on my regular mascara.
