The best basic face cream you can find at cvs. Contains niacinamide, doesn’t contain fragrance or color. And you can often get a deal or use extra bucks. LRP products give you that fancy French pharmacy feel on a budget.
I don’t actually use these for acne. I use them to treat the keratosis pilaris on my arms, among other things. They are GREAT at dealing with KP and are super cheap. Also...if you ever find that despite using powerful deodorant you still sort of have underarm odor, use one of these on your armpits after the shower. Sometimes, it’s an overgrowth of the bacteria that cause odor, and a day or two of stridex pads will reset everything back to normal.
The best basic gin available at basically everywhere that sells liquor in North America. A good introductory gin for people who are trying to branch out from tequila or vodka. You can’t go wrong with gin, tonic and a splash of lime juice.
I don’t even bother trying out other brands anymore. All of my foundation and base products are from NARS because they never fail. The loose powder is pricey but the jar lasts, at minimum, a full year of 5x a week use.
Cover Girl mascaras are my fave drugstore mascaras. My biggest mascara issue is smearing and flaming, and I get none of that with this new product. I like different mascaras for different purposes. This one has a nice formula that’s not too dry and a nice brush which means it gives me a little drama, but not so much that it’s not appropriate for work. I like to look like I’m wearing mascara, but I also don’t want or need the super dramatic night look at 2pm on a Tuesday at the office. This does a great job.
I’m not sold on peptides. There’s some research on the benefits, but most of it has been done by the companies making peptide products so... I’m unconvinced. I thought this was a really nice milky light moisturizer but after using a whole bottle, I didn’t see much in the way of changes. I’m not planning on repurchasing. I like the Dr Gross line, and I enjoyed the texture and feel of this product but I’m not sure it does much more than moisturize, which at this price point isn’t enough.
I’ve tried a lot of Glossier products. This is the only one I’ve repurchased (I’m on I think bottle five by this point). It is a fantastic second cleanser. It has a soft, non-lathering gel texture and a faint rose scent. Did I mention it’s in a pump?
This is by far the best cleansing balm on the market. It is fragrance free, dye free, removes every scrap of makeup and rinses clean. So many other balms don’t rinse clean meaning you have to deal with an oily film on your face, towel and sink. That will never happen with this balm.
