This was such a great find for me! I picked it up at TJMaxx because I was really interested in the ingredients - it had a few things in there that I don't normally see in curl products and I liked how simple the ingredient list was. Also, I loved the smell, so I thought I'd give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! I have very thick, somewhat coarse hair. I have mixes of type 2 and type 3 curls/waves throughout. This product does such a great job at defining my curls and seamlessly blending together the different curl patterns. I love that this is a do it all product for me - with other products I will often use a cream and a gel, but with this, I don't need to use a gel at all. Definition is there and stays for days, and it keeps my hair feeling as moisturized as ever (I've used some curl products that seem to dry my hair out the longer they stay in my hair in between washes). Overall, I am so happy I tried this product, and definitely plan on buying more when I run out. If you have any sort of thicker curls, I would recommend this product!
I only own the shade Lights Out, so I am basing my review on my experience with that one polish. Overall, this isn't my favorite polish. I love the bottle design, and the brush size. However, I just struggle with the formula. This shade, like many, are in a jelly base, and so they're very sheer. This ends up taking 3 or 4 coats to get the color to where it should be, and to make sure I don't have any dark or dull spots. I've found that for my particular color, it ends up looking pretty similar if I put it over a black base, and that cuts out some of the extra layers at least. Overall, I just don't want to have to work so much for a polish. I have other shades that give off a similar finish that I can apply in 1-2 coats, and so I would always choose those over this polish. ILNP does have some gorgeous colors, so I might end up trying another out at some point, but personally I would look towards other indie brands before purchasing another ILNP polish. There are some good swatch and reviews of ILNP polish on youtube if you are interested.
I love this cowash. It has such a pleasant smell - slightly coconutey, very rich and nice. The cowash is a medium consistency. It does not lather up, but it spreads nicely. It gives a great balance between moisturizing my hair and also helping my scalp feel clean but not stripped. The open jar packaging isn’t my favorite, because I have spilled it once, but that’s not a dealbreaker for me at all. I do find that this works better when I have slightly harder water, just because it can stay in my hair and make my roots a bit more oily, but it’s not normally an issue. I would 100% recommend this product!
As a base coat, this does really well. The brush is nice and wide so it is easy to cover up your nails. It does the job in producing an even, stable base for polish. However, I do not like this as a top coat. It takes so long to dry, and I’ll think it’s dry and it still smudges and dents so easily for a long time after application. I don’t find that it helps my polish last a ton longer, and it isn’t super glossy how I like a top coat to be. In case you wonder, I don’t have any issues with the blue tint affecting anything. I’ve been using this as a base and top coat for a few months and finally have decide that it will *just* be my base coat and I’ve started using s different top coat, and I’m much happier with those results. Overall, it’s fine, does a good half job, but I would recommend still using a different top coat.
This ointment is so versatile and does wonders. I applied this to my fresh tattoo all through the healing stage. It provided moisture to my skin without being oily and sticky. I like that I can always feel this absorb and feel the different in my skin. I have also used it on burns to help bring moisture and healing to them, and find that it really helped with the heal time. For things needing moisture and something that is antibiotic, this is the way to go!
This product is perfectly fine. I received it in a VoxBox complimentary from Influenster. I don't personally use dry shampoo a ton, so this is lasting me forever. It performs as is to be expected for me. It absorbs excess oil and makes your hair not look as greasy. I don't notice it adding much volume to my hair, but I have a lot of natural volume, so. My biggest thing is I just don't love the scent of this product. Id suggest smelling other products from this line to see if you like the scent. I do appreciate that NYM has a naturals line. Overall, I will use this product, but don't think I will repurchase just based on my specific hair needs.
Spotify is a great resource for music lovers. I love the discovery weekly and daily mix playlists! Spotify is good at analyzing the music you've been listening to and finding new music to introduce you to. This is how I find lots of new music now! I am a theater person, and it is a great way to listen through musical theatre songs and albums, and organize songs you might want to learn. Premium isn't hugely expensive, but I get by just fine with the free version. It will have maybe 3 minutes of ads for every hour or forty five minutes of music, roughly. The only downfall to the free version is on mobile you can't skip a ton, but on the computer version there is no limit.
I love Buxom products. The lip polishes have slight shimmer/glitter and a ton of glossiness! Dolly is a beautiful rosy shade. The glosses are that- glosses, so they work with your natural lip color to enhance or change them slightly, but they’re not opaque, full coverage colors. Dolly is a perfect shade for making my natural lip color richer!
I love this scrub! It is full of great ingredients that really help your skin feel moisturized and nourished, as well as exfoliated. This shimmer scrub isn’t quite as rough as the original coffee scrub, but it still provides exfoliation. I love using this before events or going out because it gives your shin a beautiful shimmer! It’s just a warm, natural looking glimmer that is really beautiful.
