Hey Beauty Bunnies!
I'm Lauren and I am currently training to be a Make Up Artist and Nail Technician!
Make Up has been a passion of mine since a very young age and if anything my obsession has just got worse as I've got older! I love trying new products and new looks and I can't wait to read people's reviews on products I am thinking of trying myself!

I'll be honest, I had not heard of the make Hourglass until approximately 24 days ago! I was in my local Space NK and they had a Christmas kit there with lots of different blushes/bronzers etc. The brand and packaging really caught my eye, I must look that up I thought.
Two days later and I got an email from my Husband, 'What would you like for Christmas?' I had already been very lucky and got a beautiful bag from him so he was after something 'little'! It was then the light bulb moment struck me! Lets have a look at this Hourglass brand! I went onto the website (check it out here) and was instantly in love with every product!!
The one thing that caught my eye though was the lip oil. It is PACKED with essential oils! I have listed them below:
Botanical oil blend works on contact to condition lips, address dryness and chapping, and shield against environmental elements.Three powerful active ingredients (Saliporine-8; Volulip™; and Viamerine) that target the delicate lip area by helping to boost moisture levels, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and improve the appearance of lip shape, volume and softness.Contains 28 beneficial ingredients to soften the lips. The number 28 refers to: - 14 essential oils: bois de rose, lavender, geranium, petitgrain, lemon, rosemary, vanilla, clove, amyris, orange, ylang ylang, eucalyptus, cedar and rose geranium. - 10 lipid-rich plant oils: hazelnut, kukui nut, rose hip, borage, olive, green tea, cherry pit, sweet almond, jojoba and evening primrose. - 4 nourishing vitamins: A, B5, C and EWith such amazing ingredients I was dying to try it! When Christmas day arrived I was thrilled to open one of my gifts and find this! It is fairly heavy and the plated 24KT tip makes it feel really luxurious. I pushed the tip down and it dispensed a small amount of the oil. It was a lot thicker then I imagined. I applied it too my lips and the gold tip gave it a cooling effect and made sure it all went on smoothly.
The result was great. Really glossy lips and they felt wonderful. I have since worn this under lipstick too which is a great base, especially under very strong colours like red that tend to dry out in the cracks of your lips, make sure you blot it first though!
So for my first review I will be taking a closer look at Charlotte Tilburys new Hot Lips collection in 'Kim KW' names after the one and only herself. I have tried may nude colours before and end up looking washed out so I am excited to see what this colour is like on.
The first thing I noticed was the wonderful casing, it reminded me of what lipsticks may have looked like in the 1930's.
The shape is also different to may lipsticks. Charlotte explains that she has created a 'bullet' shape with her Hot Lips collection so they can be applied directly to the lips without a need for a lip brush.
I applied the lipstick directly onto my lips. It has a lovely texture and smell! There is also a wonderful pink undertone to this shade so it was not as beige as the usual nudes. The finish is not completely matt but it is not high shine. All in all I really like the finish. This is a wonderful colour which can be used during the day and at night, where a lip gloss could also be applied.
