Review for theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer - 1 year, 2 months ago
This is a newer purchase for me, in the last few months. I have a lot of highlighters but felt compelled to get this one. The colour and quality is absolutely amazing! A very light champagne golden glow that works on the fairest of skin tones! Not glittery what so ever! I am obsessed with this highlight and have it in my regular rotation of other highlighters (including Becca highlights and Anastasia Glow Kit highlights). I highly highly recommend this! Also, the price is SO good! Especially compared to Becca highlights! For those Canadian girls that want to order, use the website nailpolishcanada.com because you can get free shipping, so the highlight is only $28 plus tax, which really is a steal in the high end highlighting world. I've also seen it at Rexall stores, but didn't check the price (as usually they jack up the price).
Review for BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector® Liquid Highlighter - 1 year, 2 months ago
I am speaking to the liquid form of Champagne Pop. This gives an absolutely beautiful glow. If you are using it as a highlight then it is a little more subtle than the pressed versions but still gives an amazing glow! I tend to use it more as a highlight on my shoulders in the summer, or as a primer when I'm using a higher coverage foundation (as I'm used to light coverage foundations) and want to bring out a glowy face. Recommend this as the quality is beautiful!
Review for BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector® Pressed Highlighter - 1 year, 2 months ago
These highlighters are beautiful! My first was the Champagne Pop, which is absolutely beautiful! They're soft and buttery with a beautiful shine but not glittery. The colours that work for my fair skin that I own are Champagne Pop and the newest highlight Rose Quartz. I have a mini of Opal but it tends to look very muddy and dull on my skin unless it is summer and I have a fairly good tan going on, so be careful with Opal if your skin tone is fair to light. Moonstone is also good for fair skin, but has a slightly less BAM highlight, if that's your thing. Pearl would be excellent for the extremely fair, but I can't speak to it as I have never tried it. The quality is amazing, although the product can be fragile so beware of carrying it around in your purse or travelling with it.
Review for Anastasia Beverly Hills Sun Dipped Glow Kit - 1 year, 2 months ago
The quality of the Glow Kits is amazing! I personally have the Sun Dipped kit. I mainly use the two lightest shades, and sometimes the third shade as highlight. The deepest shade can be used as eye shadow on fair skin but would look absolutely beautiful as a highlight on someone with deep skin. They are sooo so so silky smooth and just feel like butter when you swipe them with your finger. With a brush they go on beautifully on the cheek. No chunky glitter what so ever! Highly recommend!
Review for Bath Body Works Sea Island Cotton 8.0 oz Body Lotion - 1 year, 2 months ago
I like this fresh scent. It really smells like fresh clean laundry that was dried outside in a soft summer breeze. It is very hydrating like all of the Bath and Body Works lotions, especially if you get the Ultra Shea variety. I won't be repurchasing this particular scent as there are others that I absolutely love even more. I do like this scent for its freshness and because it isn't an over powering scent that leaves me with a headache.
The lingering scent of this is to die for! It is a very intoxicating scent in the best way possible. I love how the smell lingers on my skin. The shower gel is not over drying. I already have a few back up bottles!
Review for Bath & Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel Body Lotion - 1 year, 2 months ago
Love this cream, as well as the body spray. One of the most delicious vanilla scents there is! The cream is moisturizing and smells like vanilla cupcake mixed with a hint of cotton candy. I recommend this to any vanilla lover out there!
Review for L'Oréal Paris Detox & Brighten Pure-Clay Mask - 1 year, 2 months ago
I love this mask! My skin type is normal to dry most of the time, with my t zone being more combination in the summer. This mask isn't overly drying to my skin. The scent is fresh and the packaging is very luxurious. I will definitely repurchase when I run out. I have all three of the Loreal masks and this is my favourite for my skin type. Highly recommended.
Review for L'Oréal Paris Pure-Clay Exfoliate & Refining Face Mask - 1 year, 2 months ago
This mask does an excellent job at exfoliating. I enjoy using this mask before I put on a hydrating sheet mask. The mask has a fresh scent. It is easy to apply, which I do so by using a flat foundation brush. The packaging is very luxurious. I enjoy this mask and use it occasionally when I feel I need a deeper exfoliation. My skin is normal to dry most of the time. At times in the summer I feel that my t zone can become oily, which is when I'm more prone to using this mask. This whole line of Loreal masks are great and I recommend them. My favourite for my skin type is the black charcoal mask.
Review for L'Oréal Paris Pure-Clay Purify & Mattify Face Mask - 1 year, 2 months ago
I gave this four stars mainly because my skin is normal to dry, and this mask is mattifying and oil control, which I typically only need in the summer on my t zone. It had a bit of a tingly feeling, which I didn't like as I feel like it is causing my skin to feel overly sensitive, but once the mask started drying this feeling went away. I left my pores feeling tighter and my t zone less oily. I won't be using this mask any time except for the summer. The packaging is very nice and luxurious with its glass container. Doesn't feel cheap. I prefer the black charcoal mask for my skin type.
