I'm Laura, 22 year-old film buff and video editor; recent BFA graduate. Now that I'm entering the full-time workforce I have amped my style and makeup routines and have become fully addicted to youtube tutorials and trying out new products. When I'm not in the studio I love to cook, chill with my cats, and watch my SF Giants play baseball.
When I saw they came out with colorful mascara, I had to try it! I’m afraid of bright shadow colors, but figured this would be the perfect pop of color to make my look stand out. The colors are perfect! I was worried they wouldn’t show up, but they’re pigmented and beautiful shades. The blue is complementing to my blue eyes, and the purple is so soft and flirty. They’re so much fun to step up a look, plus the formula is also great. While the wand takes a bit of finesse, it extends lashes so well without clumping and evenly distributes product. You don’t get spidery lashes either, it’s just the perfect, volumized lash look you’d want from a mascara. I use these almost everyday, may snag a Black soon when I run out of my other regular mascaras!
I am so happy I received this as a free Ulta diamond gift with purchase last month, $38 is steep for a cleanser. While I don’t think I’d ever spend that much again (I’m very happy with other gentle cleansers like Cerave), I love this product. It’s so soft and gentle, it leaves skin soft and clean feeling. A little goes a long way, and after using it for a couple weeks, my skin is noticeably softer every day. If you have sensitive skin, this is a great cleanser. It doesn’t clog pores, it’s fragrance free, and hydrating. Love it!
I received this in my January Allure Box (and for the first time I ordered two specifically to get two of this product). I love skincare and face oils, my skin is dry and has acne scarring so I was eager to give this a try. After a month of constant use, I am in love. This face oil really has fixed my facial complexion, evening out skin tone and fading some of my acne scarring. My skin is so much softer and feels so hydrated when I wake up every morning. While I’m happy I didn’t splurge the $80 to buy it, I may have to when I run out, it’s changed my skin.
I have yet to find an amazing HG primer that works great for my skin, I’d used high end to drug store (Smashbox and Elf Putty were the favs), but this works wonders. This is the first blurring primer I’ve used that actually does exactly that. I cannot, legit cannot see my pores after using this. Granted I don’t have massive ones, but with a layer of this under my foundation, my skin looks photoshopped. It’s lightweight and feels good on the skin. Only downsides are it can be a little sticky and I feel like foundation needs to be applied soon after or it’s too difficult to blend out over it. But overall it helps my makeup look flawless and lasts all day!
I picked this palette up during Ulta's 25 days of deals sale last month and have always wanted to try it due to the massive hype around it. I needed a solid neutral palette of soft browns I could go to daily and so far this has been exactly that. If I want a day wear it looks like I'm barely trying or want to be subtle, I reach for this. Pretty much all the shades work great. They're buildable, they're smooth, they blend out well. I only really have issues with the shade Funny Girl as I found myself digging to get it on my brush and only really worked better with a wet brush. But overall, I've been enjoying the ease of this palette, plus it smells amazing. Great product for any skill level, and definitely recommend for beginners. I'm glad I didn't splurge the $40 for this, but very happy I did pay the $20 for this. I'd say wait for a deal, but it's a staple palette for anyone's collection.
I got a sample of this in my October Allure and sadly just ran out. I tend to always have dry or chapped lips and a little bit of this overnight made a huge difference in my lips hydration and texture. I had tried the Laneige mask in the past and hated the sticky feeling, and this does not leave me feeling sticky and weird, but soft and smooth. I don't know if I'll splurge for the full size as other chapsticks have really helped as well, but it was a good product to try and I think it definitely works.
I got this as a sample in my October Allure, and as someone with dry sensitive skin, this stuff was amazing. Products that don't irritate my skin are very hard to come by and this just felt so soft and soothing on my face. I did not try the grapefruit, but the non fragrance version. I have moments of extreme dryness where my face cracks and skin peels, and I applied this and it instantly made my skin feel better and hydrated. I am almost out of the sample and will likely be purchasing the full size soon.
This was my first Jeffree palette, I wanted something unique which shades I couldn’t find in other palettes and I knew the quality would be there. This is a very high quality palette. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone while still being able to have me create subtle soft looks as well. The purple is amazing, it was so pigmented and did not stain my skin (it’s the pressed pigment in the palette). The shades are so buttery and just glide on effortlessly. They blend out amazingly. Everything is pigmented, and lasts all day beautifully. I was so impressed by this palette and was definitely worth the splurge on. For $50 you get 18 (18!!!!) high end shades and large pans that will last a while. Definitely bang for your buck.
My go to eyebrow pencil. I’ve been buying the kits every year Benefit does them and I’m now on my third good proof as I use it every day basically. It makes it so easy to brush our brows and create a filled in look without being too strong of a product. The brows can look naturally instead of drawn on, and the tip of the pencil is soft and angled so it’s easy to apply and you don’t have to press it into your eyebrow, you barely have to apply pressure and it glides on. I love this product so much.
