Review for Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam - Dark - 1 month, 1 week ago
This self tanner has completely changed the game for me. I had given up on self tanning because even though I would exfoliate and do the proper prep for self tanning, I would still end up blotchy, and looking like a walking Cheeto. So orange. I had seen this at Walgreens and I noticed that it was expensive for drug store, but also way less expensive than the Loving Tan mousse I had been using (honestly even that one made me a bit orange) so I picked it up for just 24 dollars. This is the first tan that looks natural, you can choose how long you want to keep it on before washing. Minimum one hour max 6. I waited an hour and added a second layer and left it on for the full 6 hours total and I have a beautiful, natural, olive looking tan!! It lasts a long time and I’m using the gradual talking milk over it daily to keep it looking fresh!!!! I’ll never use anything else. This is now a staple.
Review for Pixi Rose Tonic - 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
Purchased at: Target
I had almost given up on toners. I have dry, red, sensitive skin and honestly no toner I’ve tried has ever worked. They always dry me out, burn my face, and make my redness so much worse. Some people have told me since my skin isn’t acne prone and because it’s always dry that I don’t need toner. Others have told me that toner is very necessary, I just need to find the right one. Well THIS toner was going to be my final attempt. If this toner didn’t work for me I was just going to skip toner for good and deal with it... maybe use micellar water or something. THIS TONER IS NOW MY HOLY GRAIL. Oh my goodness I’m in love. Not only does it NOT burn me, sting or even tingle, it legitimately took away my facial redness with the first use. So, complete opposite of what any other toner has ever done. I had even tried toners with legitimately only 2 ingredients being chamomile and deionized water... that still burned. Timers that were “made specifically for the most sensitive skin types” and claim to be “soothing” and those also burned me and turned my face more red. This rose tonic has saved my skin. It’s truly soothing... when I put it on my face I literally feel any inflammation I have disappear immediately along with the redness... not to mention the rose smell is absolutely beautiful. When I put it on, the smell of it honestly makes me feel like I’m putting something super good for my skin on. And even before I start adding the rest of my skincare products on...my face has a beautiful healthy glow that it’s never had. I was terrified to try this honestly, because the Pixi Glow Tonic messed my face up BAD. Broke me out into a rash and it burned me so badly that I couldn’t even apply the rest of my usual skincare because it would just make it worse. Had to deal with burning from that for over an hour, no joke. I’m in love with this toner, it’s even better than the Thayer’s rose petal toner. That one burned me as well. I hope this product is around forever, I have no problem spending 15 dollars on this small bottle because it has saved my skin. Literally. After just a week of use this stuff has changed everything for me. I also haven’t even needed foundation due to the glow... I almost feel like foundation would ruin my glow. Best ever, hands down, for ANY skin type. Go buy this right now. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Review for OLEHENRIKSEN Sheer Transformation® Perfecting Moisturizer - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
Purchased at: Sephora
Olehenriksen products just have my heart forever. My dry, sensitive red skin loves everything I have used by this brand. This moisturizer has completely gotten rid of my constant redness. It does not smell good... I don’t care though. It’s not like it smells awful, it just has no fragrance to it. But that’s fine with me the results are worth it!! Extremely moisturizing, works perfectly with my SPF Primer and makeup. Actually after a month of daily use day and night I don’t even need foundation... it’s that good. A little goes a long way and it’s just overall an amazing product. Highly recommend, 10 stars if I could.
Review for POND's Cold Cream Cleanser - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Purchased at: Walgreens
I am absolutely in love with this cleanser! I’m now seeing it ranked number three through influenster, which is not shocking that it’s ranked that high, but I’m surprised it’s not ranked number one honestly...normally I’m a huge fan of cleansing oils and I’ve used super high end ones by Tatcha, I’ve used Burt’s bees, palmers, but nothing is better than this ponds one. I bought it on a whim, because I need budget friendly options and both the Burt’s bees and palmers just weren’t doing it for me. Yes they are good but something was missing. I was still left feeling dry after. I have very dry, sensitive and red skin (possible rosacea undiagnosed) so double cleansing just isn’t something that my skin reacts well to regardless. I needed something to remove my makeup, actually cleanse beyond makeup removal and not dry me out. This is it, folks. This does all of that!!! I’m so beyond amazed that my holy grail has been sitting right in front of me at Walgreens for years and I never even gave it a second look until I saw it one day online when I searched for the best cleansing creams. It looks like moisturizer, feels like moisturizer, then you apply it to your face and it instantly melts into an oil. Now don’t get afraid by that... it’s not a heavy “omg this is sooooo oily” feeling. It feels very nice, almost therapeutic. You rub it around your face, you can even apply it directly to eyes and it won’t burn. Yes, you do have to use a wet cloth to remove it because water and your hands won’t remove it at all... what’s even more surprising is it doesn’t lather or foam with water. You just use a soft wet washcloth and lightly wipe it away. Literally removes EVERYTHING including waterproof stuff. With one wipe. That’s all it took. And after, my skin not only felt moisturized, but CLEAN!! I bought the travel size to try, but I’m for sure purchasing the full size. I tried this in comparison to the Clinique take the day off balm, and while that worked just as good, I felt very dry after using it. So this ponds product takes the cake! Bomb product, don’t knock it because it’s drugstore, it’s been around forever for a reason. My goodness and it even does wonders for me in the morning when I wake up and don’t even have makeup on. It’s just nice feeling on my face. I highly recommend this to anyone that has dry sensitive skin like me and doesn’t always like a double cleanse. You don’t need that with this. Truly does it all!!!
I don’t think I ever knew what real highlighter was until I put this on. Oh my goodness!! I BARELY need to dip my brush into this and it glows so brightly on my skin... I have always had such a hard time with powder highlight adding additional texture and not blending well. This completely changed the game for me. I really have no need for the darker shade because I have pretty light skin, but the other two colors are beautiful on my complexion and they are so blinding with minimal product. I got this in my first allure beauty box and I was STOKED that this was included because I’ve always wanted to try OFRA highlighters. I’m in love and I’m not sure I’ll ever use anything else!!! It’s so beautiful and now my holy grail.
Review for Supergoop! 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40 1.5 oz/ 45 mL - 3 months, 1 week ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
Purchased at: Sephora
This sunscreen completely blows my mind. I’m almost speechless at how good it is. A friend of mine I met through the Sephora Beauty Insider Community actually sent me a full size bottle of this for FREE. She originally was just sending me some sample packets of stuff she already knew she didn’t like, but she included this in full size. I couldn’t be more thankful because 38 dollars is not in my budget right now but I had been struggling to find SPF to wear under my makeup that wouldn’t cause my foundation to look cakey, ball up or just cause my makeup to look flat out terrible. I was NOT expecting this sunscreen to apply the way it did. When you squeeze it out, it looks tinted and way darker than my light skin. I was pretty surprised. It was kinda thick, but when I applied it to my face, the tint completely disappeared. It did not add any color to my face. It went on super light, I felt like I had nothing on my face but it completely smoothed our EVERYTHING. Fine lines, pores... you name it. Even the texture that I usually have on my cheeks... gone. It reminds me of the Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer when it comes to consistency/feel only better if you can even believe it. I love that primer, but I had only used a tiny sample of it and when I ran out I never bought more because I thought I had found one I liked better. This sunscreen is basically a primer with SPF. It can’t get any better than that. My makeup has never looked better after I used this. I do not need an additional primer when I use this sunscreen. Still blown away. Wow. Supergoop honestly needs to market themselves better because I would have never known about this at all. I did so many google searches for “best sunscreen to wear under makeup” and this specific version of supergoop never was mentioned once. They did mention another version of it, but not this one. I don’t understand why. This is a Godsend holy grail product.
Review for Maybelline Fit Me® Concealer - 3 months, 1 week ago

Purchased at: CVS
Review for: Fair more...
I have started to gather that Maybelline has really stepped up their game to compete with “high end” brands. Between the Maybelline Fit Me® Dewy + Smooth Foundation and this concealer, my makeup has never looked better! I’ve been looking for a concealer that will not add anymore dryness to my already dry under eye area. I do use moisturizing eye cream, however any concealer I’ve used (even high end favorites such as Tarte Shape Tape) just causes my under eye area to look even more dry than before concealer and it always sinks into those pesky wrinkles under my bottom lashes. I read a lot of good things about NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, and mainly that it’s more hydrating and doesn’t dry you out or sink into your fine lines. Being on a budget (and preferring to spend more money on skin care than makeup) I was looking for a dupe. I saw this maybelline concealer listed as the best dupe on many different beauty blogs and the fact that I already use this same line for my foundation, I gave it a go and I am IMPRESSED. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars, is because it doesn’t do a whole lot for the darkness in my under eye area. It definitely brightens and smooths out the area without appearing dry, cakey, or flakey which is extremely important to me, but it doesn’t really cover the dark circles. I am afraid to try a second layer because I know too much of anything can cause it to look cakey. I’ll try it on a day I’m not strapped for time so if it looks bad I can wash it off and redo it, but I have a feeling I’m going to have to go back to using a color corrector before applying this concealer. That’s fine, I used to always do that. I just hope it doesn’t cause it to look cakey. Overall though, it definitely did what I wanted it to do. It doesn’t settle into my fine lines and it doesn’t look dry at all even after setting powder. Extremely easy to blend as well. I can’t compare it to the NARS one because I never tried it, but this concealer is great for dry under eyes. If you don’t have dark circles this will be your holy grail for sure. It’s mine now, even with dark circles!
Review for Sunday Riley Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream - 3 months, 1 week ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
I received a small sample packet of this from a friend of mine. I love Sunday Riley but the price tags on the products are far too high for me. I understand why though because everything I’ve used by them is WELL worth the money. Sadly I went through a bad bad breakup this week so my bills have doubled since he moved out, so I’m forced to find cheaper alternatives to my skincare. Not cheap cheap, but not 65 dollars for eye cream lol. That’s sad, because I LOVE this eye cream. I’ve only used it once... but I’m reviewing it so early because of what it actually did. Going through this breakup, it was bad enough to keep me in tears for pretty much 48 hours straight. So naturally my eyes were almost swollen shut... not exaggerating either. Cold compresses helped a tad bit, but once I applied this eye cream... I swear all the puffiness was GONE and I couldn’t tell I had been crying at all. It brightened as well. This is the first eye cream that claims to depuff that actually depuffs...and it does that VERY well. I’m sad that I only have a tiny sample packet. Before, my favorite eye cream was OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright™ Eye Crème for its brightening effect. Now this Sunday Riley does both the brightening AND depuffing... I’ll continue to use my Olehenriksen because it’s more budget friendly and generally my eyes are not very puffy, so I don’t NEED the depuffing part often. But it’s nice to know what works! I’ll end up purchasing this eye cream when I have more extra money... and I’ll probably only use it on my puffier days to make it last longer since the banana cream brightens just as well!
Review for OLEHENRIKSEN Nurture Me™ Moisturizing Crème - 3 months, 2 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
I wish I could give this more than 5 stars! This moisturizer is the LOVE of my life, holy grail moisturizer for day and night. Olehenriksen never lets me down. I had been using the C-Rush Brightening Moisturizer prior to this. That moisturizer is wonderful, but this winter here in Arizona is significantly colder than previous years (we actually had a tiny bit of snow in Phoenix which is unheard of. Not enough to stick, but there was snow falling from the sky) and my already dry skin freaked out and started flaking and some visible red dry patches appeared out of nowhere. This product was recommended to me from someone on the Sephora beauty insider community message boards and I just happened to find it sold at Marshall’s for 15 bucks. What?! It was cheaper due to it being in the old packaging but who cares it’s still the same product. After just two days of morning and night use, my redness went bye bye, my dry patches disappeared and my skin stayed baby soft and hydrated under my makeup ALL DAY. For some, this may be a little heavy for daytime use but it’s perfect for me with how dry my skin is. Yes there is some fragrance, but it does not irritate my sensitive skin at all. Not even the slightest bit. It smells like a creamsicle and to me, it actually boosts my mood and makes me think of my childhood lol. Like it’s such a nice refreshing smell. I would bathe in this stuff if I could... there was one day that I didn’t use this product, and instead I used the sheer transformation moisturizer. While that one is good, it’s just not heavy enough for the winter for me. I’ll be saving that for summertime when my skin hopefully isn’t quite as dry. As I’m writing this review I just applied it for the day and my face looks so good I’m debating even putting on makeup and I’m the type that NEVER leaves the house without makeup.
